Sceptre 32 inch LED 720p HDTV 3X HDMI MHL ASTC/QAM, Metal Black 2019 (X328BV-SR)

Ive owned this TV since Feb. 4, 2018 and today is May 1, 2018...This TV is in my guest bedroom so we dont use it much. Well after just 3 months its already broken in multiple ways and not only has the return window closed, but the product support window expired after just 60 days...just long enough for my TV to break in 90 days - in which time it might have seen 2 hours of use. It now randomly decides how bright or dim it will be, as well as whether or not its going to randomly change the volume from barely audible to bleeding ear drums. My house is not located on any ancient burial grounds and was just built in 2014, so Im confident theres no haunting going on - especially since all my other TVs seem free of demons. Ya get what ya pay for folks...Dont be a tightwad like I was. I guess its karma for giving my guests a lackluster TV to begin with.

Received the TV today. Wanted to wall mount it, but the TV did not come with the needed screws for attaching it to the frame. The instruction manual said to use M6 type screws. Went to the hardware store to purchase it only to find that is not the right size. So the instruction in the manual was wrong :(. Went to hardware store again and finally found the screw type that fit, which was M4. While trying out different screws I damaged one of the mounting holes in TV. OH well.. All this time and frustration could have been avoided had the manufacturer sent the 4 correct screws in the package to begin with.

The VESA mounting hole pattern is incorrect in the Sceptre documentation and the Amazon product page. The actual pattern on the product is 100 x 200 (not 100 x 100). Now I have to buy an adapter. I have never seen product specifications more messed up than they are with this product! On my way to get more screws. The correct screws needed to mount are M4 x 8mm long (not M6 as shown in all of the Sceptre literature). This sucks!

Black Friday bargain...not. I returned the first TV sent as I could not remove the constant static line on the left and top of picture when watching cable. The replacement set would not pick up any signal at all from my cable box. I ascertained that the issue must be with the cable connector on the set itself as my original TV still works fine and the picture through HDMI is fine. The Sceptre cable connection plugs in from the side as opposed from the bottom of the set. This design put pressure on the cable connection so the signal is compromised and/or completely eliminated. At least I learned something...get a TV with a proper configuration and avoid the cut rate brands.

This TV arrrived malfunctioning. There is a 2 inch strip on the side of the screen that as pixilated. Thee size of the strip grew larger in just a few weeks. The picture was from when she first plugged the tv in. It quickly spread. This tv was a gift for my daughter. She contacted the company that manufactured this tv and the only resolution they offered her was to ship it back for a cost that was more than half of the purchase price. I would nottot ever buy anything from this company or manufacturer ever again!
