This TV DOES NOT have the SAME BASE as Pictured in the Photo. It has a "SPLIT LEG BASE" not a solid wide base. The Model Number on the Amazon Page is the SAME Model Number on the TV I received but the TV STAND is NOT the same. BEWARE if you need it to fit properly in a certain spot you need to know that there is a 23" SPACE BETWEEN the LEGS. I had to put the legs on BLOCKS to get it to fit.

edit: I had my computer connected to it with HDMI which worked fine for years with an old Toshiba tv. With this tv, the sound would just drop out randomly. I bought a sound bar, that I didnt want, to fix the sound--so I could connect through the sound card. Also, I pick the tv up, by the bottom, and the left side of the casing has pulled away from the screen. It now has a constant strip of bright blue showing there. Picture looks good but the sound not working and bright blue are annoying. Mine came with the pictured stand. Maybe theyre including it now.

Bought 3 TVs for the kids new bedrooms in our 1st new home. Right out of the box.....broken screen! Samsung had us bring the TV to a local TV shop. TV repair guy plugs it in, (after unboxing my reboxing) sees exactly what I saw, and tells me "your screwed". Samsung will NEVER replace a broken screen, especially one that looks like the impact came from the outside. I explained thats the way it came out of the box. Has to be as shipping defect. True to his word, Samsung denied our claim and wants $400 for a new screen. I paid 299.99 a piece from Amazon in January 2018. Great price so I jumped on them and added them to my INDOOR storage unit until our move in date of 7/15/18. 2nd TV just shit the bed in the middle of Deadpool 2. Just.......IDK.......completely lost all power to the TV. 1 MONTH OLD TV JUST.............DIES. Amazon should be ashamed of selling defective products at luring costs. It seems as if Amazon is in cahoots with Samsung. "Well sell your defective products, you recoup on the repair end" Great scheme you bunch of thieving billionaires. I was going to return TV #3. But Amazon only gives us a 30 day return window.

This tv has good picture and has several picture settings, with ‘movie’ being closet to the old tv picture. The others are too bright and computer like. It also has all the apps such as Netflix, amazon prime etc pre-downloaded so you don’t need additional hardware to stream video. It further allows you to download other apps since it can be hooked up to WiFi. As a result, this means the tv is now silimilar to the computer whereby what you watch can now probably be tracked by Samsung as well. The most annoying thing about this tv is that it seems to be run on software controlled by Samsung, since every now and then you get a ‘software being updated ‘ message on screen. Because of this, the software seems to have compatibility issues with the service provider so every now and then it gets stuck ( like a computer) whether or not you are streaming or watching your regular tv. It also has sound issues whereby the sound disappears while your watching, so you have to switch channels and back again for the sound to come back. Or, unplug the whole tv to reconnect it back to your WiFi or cable box. This problem occurs enough to be totally annoying. At least 2-3 times a week, and the sound problem every other 1/2 hr. The customer service however is easy to get through with minimal wait , even if the response is to shut down/ hstartbup the tv as a solution. Personally, these TVs are getting ‘unnecessarily sophisticated with these smart functions which don’t work most of the time. Wish they gave option of purchasing the old style TVs.

Great TV, good picture, etc. BUT A WORD OF WARNING, and it may not be a big deal for everyone, however, In trying to connect the TV to my network and entering password, the smart tv is telling me the wifi password is incorrect. I know the password, confirmed it many times. After calling customer service, they asked if my password had any unique characters (it does) and they told me the TV will not allow for special characters in a password to be able to connect. This is a huge inconvenience (going to have to change every device in my house for this TV), not too mention a matter of security (the more random numbers and characters the better). I am shocked that Samsung knows this and wont make any kind of change. I almost want to return the TV just based on that fact and the fact that security should be paramount to any company that deals with internet and privacy.

WOW! I wasnt expecting such a great picture. Easy to set up. Intuitive remote and screen. This was to replace an older Samsung that went off to college. The new design of the base makes it very stable. And WOW what a picture. I read reviews about having to adjust due to the ambient light sensor. But mines in a dimly lit room and I didnt need to adjust any of the settings.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. Dont fall for the low price like I did thinking that it was an amazing deal. I am currently entering tv number three with none of them working. Both of the tvs that were sent (including the replacement one) dont work. The audio and video keep cutting out constantly. This tv was the worst purchase I have ever made. Samsung refuses to admit there is a problem and told me to "just get a different tv". They have even increased the price of this product since I purchased it. I have now been going through tv hell for two weeks while practically getting laughed at by Samsung and Amazon who have told me that there is nothing they can do. I am sorry, they have told me that for more money I could purchase a tv that works. I dont normally place reviews on Amazon, but this was easily one of the worst purchases I have ever made. I still dont have a working tv. I have been given no solution from Samsung besides, and this is literaly what was said "buying a different tv" So I recommend that you take Samsungs own advice and simply buy a different tv. You will simply receive a bunch of TVs that dont work. I sincerely hope you take this advice and dont go through the hell I did. This purchase completely changed my opinion of Samsung and I will probably never purchase a tv from them again.

I made a side-by-side comparison with five other 50-inch-class TVs utilizing different LED/LCD/backlighting combinations. All were in the same price range. This model utilizes LED-backlit LCDs. I could visualize (as promised) better contrast and brightness, greater color range, more rapid response to changes in scene and more accurate image rendering. I did disable the Eco Sensor option and increased the judder control. The mobile-to-tv mirroring and wi-fi connection were simple to set-up and both performed well for streaming content locally and from the cloud, much better & faster than my 2015 40-inch Samsung. The sound is perhaps adequate in a small room, but I was much happier when I plugged in a $250 Yamaha soundbar. It matched-up automatically with the TVs Dolby & DTS signals. Mounting the TV to my swivel/stand and the soundbar to the TV was straight-forward. My only nit is that all of these 40-50 inch TVs have just two 2 HDMI inputs, ugh! That said, for less than $500 I got a TV that compared favorably with other 50-inch TVs costing $100-200 more.

I have been quite impressed with my 65" 2015 quantum dot TV. So, When I needed a cheaper smaller TV, I choose another Samsung -- this one. Well, the picture quality is not nearly so impressive as my big Samsung, although it no doubt compares quite favorably with other TVs in this price range. And it has only 2 HDMI inputs. And no Bluetooth audio output. Basically, my expectations exceeded this TVs actual performance. I had a horrible time getting screen mirroring to work on this TV with my Android [LG] phone. My phone readily does screen casting with nearly every other TV I have tried. Reading the manual and checking Samsungs website was of no assistance. Chatting with Samsung tech support was worse! They told me screen casting was compatible only with Samsung Galaxy phones! However, after a long hard search on the Google Play store, I stumbled onto the "Samsung Smart View" app. I was able to connect to the TV using this app, And then after that was connection successful, my phone would find this TV when I went to the screen sharing/casting menu on the phones system menu. So... I will keep the TV. The sound & picture are reasonably good for a cheaper TV. And I was able to get it to work for the purposes I needed. I do wish it had bluetooth audio output so I could watch TV after my wife has gone to bed. Oh well... Edit: I just went to plug in external audio, only to discover there is no audio output mini jack. (its fiber optic)

Im reviewing this as a bedroom TV to watch cable and netflix on. I have not gamed on it. Picture is pretty good just dont expect really inky blacks because its an LED not an OLED. There are a lot of picture adjustment options but its decent right out of the box. Speakers are fine and it was easy to mount. So my only grip with this TV is how long it takes to pick up a WiFi signal when you turn it on. When you turn it off, it goes into a sleep mode of sorts so that you can choose to have it power on with your last used app up and ready to go. Problem is, sometimes when you turn it and and try to start playing internet content right away, it will say you have no internet connection. Reason being sometimes it just takes a while to re-connect to your WiFi after being turned off. So the only remedy to this is to just wait until it picks up the signal. My ritual at night is I turn it on, then I brush my teeth so when I come back I know it will be connected and ready to go. I used to try to just turn it on and go right into watching netflix but then it would say "no internet connection" and ask me if I wanted to troubleshoot. I am on the latest firmware update also. This is your warning.
