Great little tv for my young daughters room. I didnt realize it at the time of purchase, but these must have some pretty exceptional speakers. She routinely cranks it up to 140 decibels, which in some cases is described as "threshold of pain, all frequencies". It seems she doesnt truly enjoy the act of watching and listening to her television unless her ears are bleeding. Additionally, the sleep timer appears to be correct.

TV works fine. Good sound and good picture. Just what you would expect from Samsung. My problem is the instruction manual. There is a bunch of things you can do with this TV and nothing to tell you how to do it. Where are the instructions for all the settings for this TV. When we first turned it on it just about drove us out of the room, the sound was so loud. I finely found a way to cure this but it involves going through the sound check process setting the sound to where you want it and then turn your cable box on. Dont turn the cable box on first or youll get one loud surprise. This operating mode for this set is very disappointing and I would not recommend this to so0meone who just wants to turn the TV on and enjoy a show. VC

Good TV, especially for the price. My complaints bring down the rating only one star, due to the TV being a bargain. My complaints are basically two: 1) very limited file support through the USB port (doesnt play mkv files, for example, just avi and mp4 as far as I can tell); 2) when you go to the menu when a movie is playing through the USB port (for example, to change sound options or something), you exit the media player completely and go back to the TV, thus losing your place in the film -- and actually this happens very easily if you press the wrong button on the remote. So, if you really want to take advantage of playing files off a hard drive or USB stick, you kind of have to buy a separate little digital media player for around 30 or 40 bucks. Other than that, a great TV.

I am not sure where the short coming starts, the first New 32 inch Samsung TV when set up only half of the screen worked alright things happen I reordered another one the second one after unboxing the TV another disappointment this time the cord to the TV is missing now I have lost all confidence in the shipper and Samsung Electronics though ordering new items it seems that I am getting refurbished TVs NOT HAPPY.

This television lacked an input that I needed for my DVD player in addition to the another device. The video was the usual Samsung outstanding quality. The price was more than fair as Amazon always is. I would definitely recommend this tv if therer would have been sufficient inputs. Check the input/output configuration if possible before making a tv purchase - one of lifes lessons.

This TV pretty much sucks. Its already required me to reboot it multiple times which, granted, only requires turning it off and back on, but the need to do so indicates there is some crappy code in the TVs software. The MAIN PROBLEM though is it sounds utterly horrible, and the only audio output is an obscure TOSLink optical out. And it turns out buying a converter is a real pain (there are a lot of options and a lot of compatibility issues meaning having to spend hours researching just to avoid having to return one). I can understand flat screen TVs having crappy sound, but the decision of Samsung to go with nothing but these optical outs on their TVs with RCA jacks is downright idiotic. UPDATE: So I bought a bluetooth converter so the TOSLink optical out signal could be routed to one of my Bluetooth speakers. It turns out though that when this TVs optical output is activated, it bypasses the tvs own internal volume control. And since most bluetooth speakers have no remote, that mean, at least in my case, no remove voilume control. I wont even mention that crappiness of trying to use bluetooth for speakers. This TV is made to run with a stereo receiver with its own speakers and remote or a soundbar. Which for a second tv to put in a bedroom, is highly impractical.

I purchased this TV for my six year old son and it looks great in his room. All ports are on the back of the TV. I was worried because the listing said it only had one HDMI port, but it actually has two. I ordered from Amazon, rather than a marketplace seller and it arrived quickly and without any damages. Set up was quick and easy. I dont feel the legs supporting the TV are flimsy, they seem pretty sturdy to me. They dont take up a lot of space either. Very satisfied with this purchase and I recommend it, especially because I got it for sale for $189. Its my first Samsung and wont be my last!

AS others stated...base is not stable but, tv is in a cabinet and not moved....no problem.....does use a external power supply but, again no problem hides behind tv in cabinet....tv would not program to cable......as often happens Comcast receiver dropped out.....rebooted and tv programed to cable ....also I have run a HDMI cable to tv and has a great picture.......All in all...this is a great buy..half the cost of a 19" lcd tv purchased 7 years ago !!!!

TV feels cheap. Annoying External power supply. Picture is fine but small down facing speakers sound like crap. I need to mount it to the wall or hook up external sound. TV broke after 9 months but they fixed it under warranty. We also had purchased the 2 year extended warranty which was a good thing as the PCB board burnt out. Now that its repaired I dont trust this thing . Samsung used to be quality. They probably went to a contracted manufacturing like Sony that hasnt made their own in years. Very little quality anymore.

An excellent TV so far. This is our third flat screen TV in the house. One in the living room I paid $1,600. for and the other I paid 7 or $800 for. I can honestly say that this TV has a better, clearer, brighter color picture than either of the other 2. Also, The sound is really good, which is unusual for most TVs. No need to purchase a sound system for this one! So far Im very happy with it.
