After receiving this TV, I was having trouble getting my universal remote to recognize it, so I opened a ticket. I was told by their technical advisor that none of Pyles products support universal remotes. If this is true, this is a huge gap in functionality. Like many, I use a device (Cable box, TiVo, etc...) that has a unified remote that I use to find and play content. Using multiple remotes is NOT acceptable. UPDATE: After talking with TiVo support and checking out a number of universal remote forums, I found a recommendation to use the TiVo remote scan code (0999), which lets you try every code the remote knows, one after the other. After trying about 25 codes, I got one that works.

I deducted 1 star because there is only 1 HDMI port on this TV, when there really should be 2, and because the audio output is of extremely poor quality. I think the use of an external speaker is a requirement when using this TV. I was really surprised at how bad the audio sounds on the TV. A prior reviewer called the audio sound "garbage." I would have to agree. The TV is lightweight. The picture is pretty good for a $135 TV. I like that it has both RCA audio out jacks and a standard 3.5mm stereo out jack. If you want a small size TV, this is certainly one to consider.

I was shopping for a small screen TV for my wife to watch while she exercises on the treadmill. The price was right, the size was right and as it turns out this PYLE TV has the best picture quality of all 5 TVs that our family watches! The setup was super easy with no hassle. I would recommend it to anyone!

There are not many 1080p TVs in this size screen, most are 720p so this is a big plus. The TV is quite basic compared to many of the contemporary flat screens today but I think it is well built and is a great fit for our truck camper. The speakers on most small TVs are always subject to criticism but lets face it, 3 watts is 3 watts. In spite of that we found the speakers to be adequate for our relatively small truck camper. The volume needs to be turned up all the way (to 100) to hear it when the A/C or roof vent fans are running but the sound is not distorted at that level so I have no problem with the speakers. We purchased a Lonpoo Soundbar and mounted it above our heads in the cab-over. This adds volume when we need it and also allows us to watch movies late at night at low volume so as not to disturb others (the sound is right above our heads so its easy to hear). I do wish it had a headphone jack however. Id like to give it a 4.5 star rating if I could.

I had a terrible time finding a small (24") TV for the house. Most seemed to run on batteries & with just an HDMI input. This can take RCA, HDMI, VGA, & Cable input plus its only 23.9", perfect size for our small guest bedroom. It was a little more expensive ($140 instead of around $100) but its also 1080p instead of 720p. Just what we wanted & hopefully it will last as long as its predecessor, a 13" CRT with builtin VCR. (Yeah, we make them last, but it doesnt get much use.) This can act as a second monitor for a laptop, too. The only bad thing was an Energy Efficient sticker that we spent far too much time trying to coax off. We had to resort to fingernail, alcohol, & finally a hair dryer (the last per customer service thats only available via Amazon email. They did get back to us in a hour.) Oh, the delivery driver also ran up on the lawn & broke the ear off a concrete garden rabbit. This on a lane used by a full sized school bus. IOW, plenty of room, the driver was just an idiot.

Mounted in a vehicle, cut the power cord, and wired up to my 12v electrical panel. Has been working exactly as planned from day 0. Quality is good, although I wish I could turn the brightness down a little further. Sound is fine for me (low level). However, the headphone jack is pretty much useless - my headphones and adapters and such dont fit and make full contact. Minor qualm, but others should be aware. Otherwise, great TV!

Good TV. Decent picture quality. Great sound. I got it because of the number and types of inputs and outputs it had. That was my primary concern, as we move this TV / monitor around a lot and need all possible input and output jacks. Great price. Too.

A very good deal for a small 1080p HDTV. But it doesnt have any smart features whatsoever, for that in this size youll pretty much have to settle for 720p. I use this television in my bedroom and it is connected to Dish Network and rabbit ears. Set up is very easy, at least for me. But like most cheaper televisions you dont get a signal strength guide when setting up for broadcast television. It says it has optical sound output, but all that is there is a coax connection. The USB connection is covered and can only be used to install updates from a UDB drive. The speakers have poor sound quality, but that is what you have yo expect for this price. Luckily my Amazon Basic laptop speakers sounds great when plugged into the headphone jack. Video brightness is adequate as long as the sun is not shining directly on the screen. The screen is kind of slow speed, so you definitely dont want to use it as a monitor for playing video games. All in all I am happy with my purchase because it is not my primary television.

I cant complain about this TV. Compared to what I upgraded from (an old tube TV), the picture quality is remarkably better with digital, its like night and day. I also liked the very reasonable price I paid. I also order separately an antenna to help with the reception and Im glad I did. Its a must have really. There was one issue that came about when I went to pull the protective plastic strips off the outer edge of the screen. As I pulled the on the right side strip, a small piece of plastic fell off and exposed an opening on the side of the screen (see photos). I was disappointed at first and thought about sending it back. But, to me this is really no big deal. Ill just super-glue the piece back on and be done with it, rather than spend the time and expense to exchange it. Its only a cosmetic thing and Im the only one who has to look at it, so, Im perfectly happy with this purchase as is. I only mention this to justify my "Material quality" rating of 3 stars. Great TV! Highly recommended. Peace out!
