After receiving this TV, I was having trouble getting my universal remote to recognize it, so I opened a ticket. I was told by their technical advisor that none of Pyles products support universal remotes. If this is true, this is a huge gap in functionality. Like many, I use a device (Cable box, TiVo, etc...) that has a unified remote that I use to find and play content. Using multiple remotes is NOT acceptable. UPDATE: After talking with TiVo support and checking out a number of universal remote forums, I found a recommendation to use the TiVo remote scan code (0999), which lets you try every code the remote knows, one after the other. After trying about 25 codes, I got one that works.

I deducted 1 star because there is only 1 HDMI port on this TV, when there really should be 2, and because the audio output is of extremely poor quality. I think the use of an external speaker is a requirement when using this TV. I was really surprised at how bad the audio sounds on the TV. A prior reviewer called the audio sound "garbage." I would have to agree. The TV is lightweight. The picture is pretty good for a $135 TV. I like that it has both RCA audio out jacks and a standard 3.5mm stereo out jack. If you want a small size TV, this is certainly one to consider.

There are not many 1080p TVs in this size screen, most are 720p so this is a big plus. The TV is quite basic compared to many of the contemporary flat screens today but I think it is well built and is a great fit for our truck camper. The speakers on most small TVs are always subject to criticism but lets face it, 3 watts is 3 watts. In spite of that we found the speakers to be adequate for our relatively small truck camper. The volume needs to be turned up all the way (to 100) to hear it when the A/C or roof vent fans are running but the sound is not distorted at that level so I have no problem with the speakers. We purchased a Lonpoo Soundbar and mounted it above our heads in the cab-over. This adds volume when we need it and also allows us to watch movies late at night at low volume so as not to disturb others (the sound is right above our heads so its easy to hear). I do wish it had a headphone jack however. Id like to give it a 4.5 star rating if I could.

Good TV. Decent picture quality. Great sound. I got it because of the number and types of inputs and outputs it had. That was my primary concern, as we move this TV / monitor around a lot and need all possible input and output jacks. Great price. Too.

A very good deal for a small 1080p HDTV. But it doesnt have any smart features whatsoever, for that in this size youll pretty much have to settle for 720p. I use this television in my bedroom and it is connected to Dish Network and rabbit ears. Set up is very easy, at least for me. But like most cheaper televisions you dont get a signal strength guide when setting up for broadcast television. It says it has optical sound output, but all that is there is a coax connection. The USB connection is covered and can only be used to install updates from a UDB drive. The speakers have poor sound quality, but that is what you have yo expect for this price. Luckily my Amazon Basic laptop speakers sounds great when plugged into the headphone jack. Video brightness is adequate as long as the sun is not shining directly on the screen. The screen is kind of slow speed, so you definitely dont want to use it as a monitor for playing video games. All in all I am happy with my purchase because it is not my primary television.

Picture quality is great. For an inexpensive TV it has a lot of input options - some of the others in that price range only have 1 or 2 input options. Easy to setup. As quite a few of the reviews stated, speaker quality could be better. Turning the surround sound on and increasing the base decreased quite a bit of the tinny" sound but still could be better. Youd expect the sound to be on the same level as the picture quality, but overall for the price, it is a great little TV.

Is perfect for camping, small enough to not take up needed space, great picture quality the sound? Big plusses are "old school and new school" plug ins in one unit, great options on which devices can be attached to the TV. Coax, YWR RCA, RGB, small RCA pin audio out, HDMI as well a some more. Attach a decent cell phone speaker makes a huge difference. Very efficient on DC as well AC, your attached devices will use more power than this TV. Very good for certain situations.

Worked great in my travel trailer. The only problem is you cant hear it if the AC is on. Very small and weak speakers Youll need to use some kind of external speakers or sound bar but other than that this is a great little TV.
