Beyond disappointing. Purchased this TV solely to have linked to my echo for the hands free voice control. It works for about 30 minutes, and then will proceed to tell me it "doesnt support that". Ive run the gamut of factory reset, un plug, un link etc. Nothing works and Amazon customer service has no fix for me. I feel like I wasted my money, so to you I say save your money and buy a better quality smart TV for the same price. I will change this review if they ever fix this and decide to help me

The TV itself seems OK, however, the menus are awful. I use cable most of the time, so it would be nice to get down to just the cable company remote and not have to use two different remotes to turn on the tv every time. That is not possible with this TV. Even with the TV set to go to the last used input, each time I turn it on, I get the main home menu. So, I need to use the TV remote to select the cable input and then the cable remote to tune to the channel I want. I suggest purchasing a true name brand and staying away from Best Buy / Insignia. Mine is going back.

Remote does not pair up with tv and best buy customer service was very unhelpful in resolving the matter.

I would like to say that this is a great TV I was very much so looking forward to it. Everything I use in my house runs off the fire Amazon program so I got everything set up I mounted the TV 3 hours later the power died on the TV... tried changing chords, setting it up in different places. I was tired of trying to figure it out did not want to wait to get it fixed or replaced I sent it back. if the TV had stayed working I would have been very satisfied.

This TV is the worst waste of money! If you purchase thinking you will watch cable TV.... GOOD LUCK. You can not manually enter what channel nor can you say "channel 22" and think it will understand. NO, she will kindly search for a movie named channel 22. You might say Ch 22 and it MIGHT. When attempting to scroll through channels to select they are in random order and only a limited few channels. I do wish my husband had not thrown the box away or it would go back! This will likely go to junkyard/recycle bin! PROS GOOD PICTURE LOOKS GOOD (If that matters to you) PRICE (Originally, I thought it was NOW I know it would be over priced at $5). CONS 1. SAVE YOU BOX! YOU WILL RETURN 2. BEWARE THE REMOTE IS LIKE THE ECHO/ALEXA REMOTE. 3. NO NUMBERS TO ENTER CHANNELS FOR CABLE TV. 4. ALEXA DOESNT UNDERSTAND CHANNEL, CABLE TV, CABLE, TV, OR ANTENNA TO GET TO REGULAR CABLE TV. 5. THIS TV WILL RAISE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE DUE TO GETTING FRUSTRATED. 6. I AM FAIRLY TECH SAVVY. 7. THIS IS AN AWFUL EXCUSE FOR A TV. DONT BE A FOOL LIKE ME! I READ REVIEWS AND YET I STILL PURCHASED IT BECAUSE I AM USUALLY GOOD WITH ELECTRONICS. THIS IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A TELEVISION. THIS TV WOULDNT BE WORTH THE HEADACHE IF IT HAD BEEN FREE! Good luck if you are foolish enough to buy this.

We purchased both an Insignia and a Toshiba Fire Edition TV through Amazon from Best Buy over a period of a couple of weeks. Neither will link with an echo device, even after investing more than 2 hours collectively on the phone with Echo customer support and Fire TV customer support personnel. Turns out Best Buy, on both, separate occasions, shipped models that should have been used as store display models. Now, I have to wait for Best Buy to reply to an email as to what they are willing to do and am dreading having to explain the situation all over again. Amazon says they are POWERLESS to do anything unless Best Buy fails to respond in a couple of days. What a colossal waste of time - unboxing, setting up the TVs, time with customer service, and now having to deal with Best Buy.

TV is a P.O.S. Bought it for my mom after Thanksgiving. Shes had problems since Dec. Now its February and I gotta spend more money to replace it. She only has 5 active apps to watch movies/tv; Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Tubi Tv and Crackle. TV has already run out of space and now she cant use it at all. Keeps telling her to delete apps and free up memory before it will let her look at something besides a blue screen. We deleted Tubi and Crackle and it still doesnt work. Cant expand the memory either apparently, and I am tired of constant calls to come to her house on the other side of town to fix it. Its going in the trash and I will NEVER buy another Insignia or Amazon "SMART" TV again. EVER. Dumbest purchase I ever made.

NO, you cannot change channels on Frontier Fio with this TV. After 7 hours on the phone with Alexa and Frontier tech support, I recd this letter. ....the remote control, compatible with your Fire TV Edition Smart TV, is not capable of voice directed imput switching....This feature is available with...Fire Cube and Fire tv Stick... Now I think that i wrong b/c I can say, "change to HDMI1" and it will change. But Alexa does not recognize any TV stations or channel numbers. I only bought this set for the Alexa voice control so I am returning it to Best Buy. Of coure, I already paid someone to set it up and now I have to pay someone to take it down and put it in the car for me. Then I will have to pay to have my old tV put back up.
