Axess 15.6-Inch LED HDTV, Includes AC/DC TV, DVD Player, HDMI/SD/USB Inputs, TVD1801-15

Received the TV today. Purchased for inclusion in travel trailer, the old CRT TV gave up the ghost. PROS: Everything works well but I am old and may not be able to hear it, very low volume but will add a pair of computer speakers to increase volume. DVD, digital photo album and music work well. CONS: I like digital movies on a thumb drive or SD card. I could not get it to play digital movies in any format: MP4, AVI, MWV using USB or SD card slots, had to resort to Media Player through HDMI to get them to work. Would have been nice not to need the additional peaces of equipment (WD TV and Computer speakers (I may use Bluetooth transmitter and wireless head phone instead) but it does work. Overall a good product for the price but a small TV may have worked as well but I will not send this one back, 6 one way half dozen the other. Just wanted to warn us techies that digital Movie wont work on USB or SD Card.

TVD1801-15... We originally bought the 13" but exchanged it for this 15.6". The 13 was just a tad too small for us. My review of the 13 is very similar to this one. Channel scan worked great for OTA. It works great with my DISH Tailgater system and the DISH remote as well - On/Off, Volume, OTA Channels, etc. We hook up the DISH system via HDMI. Things we still need the original tv Remote for are the DVD player, change Input device, or change settings in the various menu selections. Perhaps I could figure out how to use the DISH remote for the DVD player as well, but I havent tried yet. There are a couple other features on the TV remote that the DISH remote doesnt have, but we would rarely use those anyway. We found the sound okay for our use - small camper. Played around with sound menu controls and easily found what were satisfied with. Dont expect sub woofer effects, but we found it plenty loud enough, and with decent pitch, for regular TV viewing. I did notice if Surround is turned on the volume diminishes substantially. DVD player works fine as well. Picture is terrific but up, down, or side viewing can be an issue, as many other reviewers have noted. Just estimating, but about 3 feet from the screen, as we get to about 30 degrees off from straight dead-on viewing is where it starts to get really noticeable. These small TVs are like the small LED computer screens - can fade pretty fast when youre not looking direct on. We each sat to the one side where we will normally be viewing from and played around with the Contrast, Color, Brightness, & Color Temp, and tilting the tv on our VESA mount until we found what works best for each us from each side and up & down. Took some time and experimentation but we found what were each satisfied with. Its in a small camper we occasionally spend considerable time in. On a side note, we bought this tv from Amazon Warehouse deals and this tv arrived with one bad pixel to the right of center. Probably why it was returned once before. Its something we figured we could live with if given the right incentive. Working with Amazon customer service we received a decent enough partial refund, so chose to accept it and keep the tv. Without going into detail, in my opinion it was an exceptionally fair offer. Kudos to Amazon customer service!

A much better option for my specific need (portable screen for amazon fire stick II) than the Eyoyo HD monitor, or NaviSkauto car DVD player that I tried first. Not only is this a portable dvd player, it is also a pc monitor with a HDMI input, and a television with DC power in. The connectors are on the bottom and too close to the stand - otherwise this is an easy five. Invest in a 90 degree coax balun, and a right angle HDMI adapter and this becomes top notch.
