I received the package & it looked like it was open & returned for some reason. After setting up the 13" TV & connecting a digital antenna. I found the picture was very clear, a larger version of my Cell Phone picture, and is visible from any place in the room. If the signal strength was strong the sound was very load. There are many adjustments that can be made to the picture quality, sound quality, Auto Channel Scan, Clock adjustments, & input sources. I was able to pull in 33 different free channels. I connected it to my old VHS player with VGA connectors picture looks great. Tried out my old DVD player HDMI connector & picture looks great. I connected the sound up to an external sound system, using the Left & Right sound outputs and the sound works great. I am not fond of vertical DVD players, but I tried out the builtin DVD player, it works great, the picture & sound was great, has simulated surround sound. I tried out an analog security camera connected to the Video input, picture looks great. My only disappointment was I was I wanted an output signal to connect to an external record DVD player to record TV programs & Security Camera. The TV has only inputs no outputs. This is a great TV, I plan on getting another one for my other rooms, perhaps larger.

I struggle to know how to review this. My own need was for a 12VDC monitor to use with my cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy S4, effectively turning the phone into a desktop computer when paired with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. This does do that, using a CyberTech 6.5 Feet MHL Micro USB to Hdmi 1080p Hdtv Adapter Cable for Samsung Galaxy S3 S4 S5 Note 2 Note 3 and Samsung Tablet Tab 3, Tab S, Tab Pro, Note Pro . It took rooting the phone so I could lower the dpi resolution (dots per inch) dynamically to make it work well though, otherwise the UI of the phone is *huge* on this screen. I can also play movies from the phone to the monitor. Here are my thoughts: - The quality of the picture is just ok. For less money you can get a full (1080p) HD monitor with HDMI inputs and a better picture. Dont expect this to look like an iPad screen or even a $120 ASUS monitor. Some may find it poor, while others will be quite happy - depends on you: if you dont see the reason to go to Blu-Ray over DVD, then this will make you happy. If your idea of acceptable is a retina display on a Macbook, then you will not be happy at all. - Viewing angle is narrow for optimum picture. - The DVD player works. In this day and age it should have been a Blu-Ray, but it does work. - The mass storage options are really only useful for music and photos - it will not recognize an MP4, for example. - The stand is not adjustable nor removable without using a screw driver. It does not fold out of the way, so you cant easily transport this in a messenger bag (for example) without removing the stand. - I could not get USB2 (the side slot) to recognize any devices. - The sound is ok - not any better than a cell phone speaker, but ok. So, about buying this just because it runs on 12 volts DC for use in a car or RV. Heres a tip: virtually all small electronics run on DC current - that is what the power adapter does - converts 110V AC to DC - and lots of power adapters are stupid ones without anything sophisticated in them. If you know the voltage, amperage requirement and polarity, you can usually just buy something like this: HDE Universal Laptop/Netbook Car Charger with interchangeable connector pins to power a good old regular monitor (or LED TV) with better resolution at less cost. The problem is that without looking at the monitor itself, you dont know these requirements for sure because they are never in the specifications, although they are always labeled on the monitor itself where the power adapter plugs in. But lots of monitors actually run on 12VDC or 19VDC natively. If all you want is a monitor with speakers and an HDMI port that you can power in a car or RV without an inverter, then go to a store and check the actual power requirements and dont buy this. But if you want something this size that has the built-in DVD and TV tuner and an HDMI port, well then there isnt a lot of competition out there as near as I can tell without going to specialty stuff that is quite expensive - so then this is an ok product that meets those needs at a reasonable price. I will probably grumble a bit but keep it. But I grumble about many things. Of course if you have a laptop already, then just use that with a 12V adapter for heavens sake, and simply buy a USB tuner if you want to receive broadcast television.
