After comparing several projectors before purchase, I decided to go with vankyo v600. the first attractive thing is its native support for 1080P and the price point is about right. Some other cheaper projector also support 1080p, but that actually mean it can take 1080p signal, but it will convert to 720p. And V600 allows multiple types of inputs and outputs (HDMI, USB, and SD slot). therere 2 usb ports, easy to operate, once I got the projector I set it up in my basement in a few minutes and played my daughter favorite movie, the color is good, she is so happy. The projector comes with HDMI cable, remote control, audio cable. And the embedded speaker sounder quality is good for casual watching, its if you want home theater sound, you can hook with external speakers. One thing I think vankyo can improve is the sound of the fan. when its playing content without any sound, the fan noise is loud. when you play a movie, the noise is not that noticeable. Update: After 3 weeks, returned the projector. First, the noise was getting louder and hard to ignore even with high volume; Second, when display dark color, light leakage around the border is very obvious; And third, focus problem, try with the display with enough text: when you adjust the focus to make the middle or right side clear, the text on the left will be blurry; then change focus to make the left side clear, the right side is blurry and out of focus. And dont count on seller to get back to you, sent an email and not single word reply after a week. Amazon service is excellent as usual.

After reading the reviews I had such high expectations from this projector, but for 240 dollars i should probably have seen it coming. Bought it less than a week ago, and in that short time span i have experienced: -not one but TWO of the screw slots you are supposed to use to attach the projector to a ceiling stand came straight off by simply put screws in and hanging the projector, wow. - Total loss of image by simply scrolling through the various video settings (image reduction and direction), essential part of the calibration process. Had to restart the projector every 2-3 min. - I’m convinced it used to be a vacuum cleaner, then converted into a projector. The fans are INCREDIBLY loud, its impossible to watch any sort of movie without blasting the volume of your sound system (forget using the built-in speaker, the fans are louder!!). Tried watching “A Quiet Place” with it, literally impossible -lastly, today (day 5) after only 2 hours of use, the image started flickering and showing horizontal lines all over the screen, just like a broken lcd, only to go back to normal after a few hours of it being turned off. Im literally tossing it back to the seller, stay away from this thing

Received my V600 projector this morning and Ive spent the day testing in my well lit living room. I was able to connect my Roke to an HDMI cable and test movies. It projected a super clear image on the living room wall. Although I plan to hook up a sound bar for watching movies, I was impressed with the sound.coming out of the speakers. It was very loud and I had to reduce the volume. I then connected my laptop via the HDMI port and was excited to read vary small print. I pulled up Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents, and PowerPoint presentations. I tested sheet music saved as Adobe pdf files. Absolutely amazing. Im still working on how to connect my tablet and smartphone to the V600, but its only the first day.

Summary: The VANKYO projector works great for presentations, provides a very bright image, it is convenient to carry and connect from multiple devices. I connected using PC-USB and HDMI. Setting up the connections were not difficult at all, Video is superb at 1080p using the VGA connector with a computer. Best use: (Powerpoint) presentations for education/business purposes and 1080p videos. I had it setup for a small class presentation, very, very handy, everyone was able to have a better class experience. Connecting source to the projector from a Windows laptop/PC: - HDMI: I used an old Lenovo laptop with Windows8, connection went effortlessly. When presenting Powerpoint the presentation came directly on the projector while the laptop screen had a preview of what was being presented. - USB: on a Windows10 laptop, I had to navigate from “My computer” to the Projector (added as an additional storage device), from where I could open the and install the drivers to display on the projector with the laptop connected (see the Initial Setup pic). So far, I am very happy with the device. I still need to use it with the other two remaining input sources (hope video quality/frame-rate doesn’t suffer). I also plan on carrying presentations outside, during the day and at night (just need to figure out the power source).

My friend recommended this to me and I love it! Compared with other big brands, this device serves same functionalities but much cheaper. Very cost-effective! Recommend!

I am a photographer and use a projector when I am showing clients their photo sessions. Everything was so easy to setup and it is compact compared to other projectors I have used. The projector comes in a carrying bag with a strap and had a small footprint in my opinion. The initial setup out of the box was a breeze, really simple and I had it going within a few minutes. It comes with a variety of connectors including HDMI so it can be hooked to a computer, Roku, or just about any devices that use HDMI. If you are wanting to use it to stream a movie from a device, this works also but it has a USB slot which it can play files. It is best to use a device like a Roku. The sound is pretty good for presentation, for a movie, I would suggest hooking it up through your av receiver through HDMI to your external speakers. The picture quality is very bright and pretty amazing for this device. I have not seen a projector for the price that had this good of quality with color. The fan on the projector is pretty quiet. I streamed some tv and movies off Netflix and was very impressed with the quality of this projector. This is definitely an all-around portable projector which can be used for office and home and have some amazing results.

Had this projector for not even 12 hours and it would suddenly invert the colors, go completely white or just go black. You could still hear the audio from what ever was connected. This would happen at least every hour sometimes within 5 minutes of turning it on. Tried multiple HDMI cords and multiple sources such as Xbox, switch, PS4 and a laptop all had they same problem. Returning for a refund

I have this set up in my place and found the color settings off..... I think I had to set contrast to 20 and brightness to 65 to make the picture look good enough to where shades of black and grey didnt appear all black..... but it does look good to me. I had to shrink the display to 75% to get it to fit in a 100" screen from about 12 feet away. It is bright though. Bright enough to where I can set the lighting in my place to 50% and still see everything fine. I think youd have the best results if you turn the lights completely off which Ill reserve for movie watching..... for basic TV watching, it seems to be OK. Keep in mind that this isnt a $1000 projector so for $250, its working about as expected. Focus and keystoning are fairly basic and are basically just lenses in the camera... but it seems OK. You have options to flip the display backwards for rear projection or upside down for ceiling mount.... But the fan is rather loud.... you get used to it after a while but it doesnt sound as loud as a vacuum though.... it sounds like when you turn on the air conditioning in your place kind of loud. Not terribly loud though. Im still happy I bought this though. Nothing beats watching a TV at this size vs just having a 42" TV. EDIT: I know what the brightness problem really is.... or at least I think I do.... the projector seems to default to a full RGB colorspace from TV content. My XBOX One S has the ability to change the color-space and override the detected HDMI settings when plugged into the projector. Basically, things that are shades of black close together will appear solid black most of the time if you have RGB colorspace turned on HDTV channels. So I set the colorspace to be 8-bit from within the XBOX One S from my Tivo connected to it. Since then, the color has been very good and at least watchable)..... so I bet this is a firmware issue as it can display it with the limited colorspace of ATSC television. And another piece of interest... dust gets into this device. I dont know where to clean it out so I bet Ill have to open it up when it gets really bad. Youll see it on screens where most of the display is white. gray specs will show up and it seems to be inside the display and it has to be cleaned out but I dont see a filter or a way to clean it without opening it.... but a few months in and it seems to be tolerable so far. I bet in a year, Ill have to open it... but for now, its OK.

Very first impression was the packaging...very nicely done. I plugged it in asap to hear how loud it would be as thats one of the biggest pain point with these cheaper projectors. (This may or may not be my 5th no-name projector and I may or may not have a problem.) First off, this is legitimately a NATIVE 1080p projector thus the price compared to others. There are some decent 1280x800, 768 and 720s for a little over $100 which are plenty good for movies IMO. So, the fan, how loud is it? Equivalent to my $1200 Optoma home theater projector...a mild hum. Great start! Brightness? More than adequate for darker rooms and pretty typical for projectors in this price range. Pitch black not necessary and in my pictures, youll see a quick shot on my living room ceiling (not blacked out theater room) in the evening with just blinds closed. Color quality Id say is about 80% of the other projector. Good but certain colors like bright red, oranges and yellows are a bit off. Without a side by side comparison, I doubt most would even notice. Unlike my DLP projectors it wont do 120hz but is 60hz so some gaming will be fine. Youll have a tough time finding 1920x1080 60p native resolution projectors that are quiet, acceptably bright and this quality for less money.
