I had high hopes for this projector and it came with good ratings, however I was unimpressed with the picture quality. I also purchased the below screen; VIVO 100" Portable Indoor Outdoor Projector Screen, 100 Inch Diagonal Projection HD 4:3 Projection Pull Up Foldable Stand Tripod (PS-T-100), to go along with this projector and was never able get the full screen into focus at the same time. I could either focus the middle of the screen and the top & bottom would be blurry or vis versa. I bought this specifically for Live PD watching parties on our deck and had it had a clearer picture, we wouldve used it for football games as well. There was also a small spot on the inside of the lens, which after projecting onto a large screen, becomes somewhat of an annoyance. I did not use the internal speaker, so I cant rate it either way. I felt the fan was also significantly louder than I expected, however after a few minutes it just becomes white noise. I ultimately returned this projector and am planning to reorder another one, Im hoping mine was dropped one to many times in shipping and this is not a inherent problem with this projector.

After reading reviews of different projectors, I made a choice of getting this one. First, I dont want to spend more than $100 since technology seems to be upgrading every month (exaggerating a bit). If theres a new tech for projectors next year and I will really want to upgrade, Ill not be as hesitant. 2nd, the specs on this projector is worth the price. It is clear even with a little light. Its perfect for my Harry Potter-themed Halloween decor... see for yourself (I havent installed the floating LED slim candles to mix with the non-lighting ones). UPDATE: I am taking 2 Stars from the review since there has been a problem with a gift option with the product. The product is good but I am now not sure if the company itself is telling customers one thing and not getting the promotional gift. I will update the review if they will be truthful with their promotions. I am also bringing this up to Amazon customer service department so it can be on record. UPDATE: they fixed the issue so I am putting back the 5-star rating for this product.

Picture quality is "okay" at most, Max resolution is "only" 1080P @60Hrz! (1080P @120Hrz or 240Hrz would be ALOT better, but also atleast 10 times more exspensive!) Portabillity is awesome, its 1/4 the size of a shoebox. Blu-ray - Awesome, DVD - Awesome, Stream Amazon Prime Video - Awesome Gaming?? Depends on WHAT kind of game your playing and what kind of console/pc and what "video" settings are you using?!? Any console/pc settings at around 1080P will work out, as long as the games are NOT fast action games! -Puzzle games - Great -Strategic games - Great -Bejeweld - Great, Action Packed/Fast paced games,..NOT so much, mainly due to that those games NEED atleast 1080P @240Hrz or higher refresh rates! This unit MAX output is only 1080P @60Hrz! If playing smoooooth, bright colours, crisp, and a razor a sharp image for high paced action games is what you Demand?!? i highly recommend saving up about 30 times longer and buy this instead: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-VPLVW285ES-Theater-Video-Projector/dp/B074ZFD63N/ref=sr_1_3?tag=4k0e-20&ie=UTF8&qid=1548438790&sr=8-3&keywords=sony+vplvw285es+4k+hdr+home+theater+video+projector If Only THE TOP of THE LINE is DEMANDED,..i can highly recommend this $35.000,-projector: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Laser-Theater-Projector-VPLVW995ES/dp/B07GM3J6SH?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_2530478011 (Disclaimer: review is based upon personal hands-on experience only, i do not work, get paid, or am sponsored by either Amazon or Sony) If Amazon or any other product supplier needs/wants their products tested - email me please!)

I like the size and features of this projector. It seems to be able to do the things that I need it to do. I saw after it arrived that it is not recommended for Office Presentations, which is why I needed a projector in the first place. It would be helpful if that was made clear in the sales dialog. However, it worked fine for me, in a small room with a small group. It is not as bright as the high dollar models, but that is why they are high dollar models. I have set it up in my home to view Netflix and some laptop presentations with no problems. I am sure it will be fine for what I will use it for. I attached some external speakers and that made the sound much better than with just the internal ones it is equipped with. I will be hooking it up to the DVD player in the future to see how that plays out. I especially like the carrying case and all of the connectors that come with it. That made it very easy to get it up and running in no time. The only negative comment that I have is that the lens cap is not tethered to the unit. That would be a nice thing to have in the future. I am looking forward to using it and learning all the things it can do.

Pay attention to the one star reviews! After having these issues I am about to mention with my item. I read all the one star reviews and I noticed that the seller did not comment on even one of them. Here was my issues: If you read closely it states that the optimal viewing distance is 6.5 ft and this is pretty true the only problem is at that distance the image is about 46 inches and still only in 480p native resolution. To get it to a decent size I pulled back to around 9 ft I adjusted the height on my tripod, focused it in, set up a custom contrast, brightness etc for clarity and it just was not good. The other problem I found is that at further distances than around 7 ft you can either have the subtitles in focus or the picture...not both. The largest I was able to get the screen and actually see what was going on in the background (many movies are shot with large panoramic shots and not up close) was about 7.6 ft and the screen was a little over 52 inches corner to corner at 16.9 ratio widescreen. I decided to take it all the way back to around 16 ft to get the full 170 inches. I focused it in as best I could and it looked like a watercolor moving painting. I cleaned the lense focused it again completely reconstructed the picture attributes contrast sharpness etc. and it did not get any better. Overall if you have to watch something at a little over 7.6 ft just to be able to see what is in the background and the image size is still only a little over 50 inches it is just worth it to buy a TV that size so that you do not need to buy a canvas to project to black out curtains and sit in 100 percent pure darkness just to watch tv. Also the remote control IR is on the front but most times this projector will need to be in front of you if you are sitting any decent distance away so you have to get up to control it.

I needed to get a video projector in a hurry for a memorial service, and I was under the impression that a decent projector was expensive enough that I would have to rent one. However, when I did a search on Amazon, I found this unit for $99.95, and it seemed like it would be a great investment to have a projector for future needs. The projector arrived conveniently packed into a lightweight carry case. All the cables I needed were included (although if I wanted to output a video from my iphone, that cable would be extra). The only thing that would have been nice to include would have been 2 AAA batteries for the remote, so that I didnt have to make a special trip to buy some. The hardware was easy to set up. The audio quality from the speaker was not adequate to present to a room full of people, but I was not expecting it to be. It was very easy, however, to plug in external speakers through the headphone jack. I was happy with the picture quality, although the room definitely did need to be pretty dark to be able to see the image. I was able to navigate through the menus and get everything set up, although the menus could have been a little more intuitive. I did have to hunt around to find some of the settings. Playing a video from a USB thumb drive also took a few tries, but I eventually figured it out. The above critique is just minor nitpicking, however. Overall, Im very satisfied with the project, I consider it a great value for the money, and I would definitely purchase it again. I was also impressed that the company emailed me a few days after receiving the product to make sure that everything had arrived ok and to see if I had any questions.

Long story short, Ive always wanted a projector because during the summers I goto our property in lake town, UT (Bear Lake as we call it). And Ive wanted to have the family together and watch stuff outside at night. But any quality projector Ive ever found was too pricey or too poor quality in either image or construction but almost always was too expensive, so much so that I didnt want to bring it outside and let bugs do what they will to it. When I found this one though I noticed that the reviews were saying that it was great bang for your buck. So I put it in my cart and onto my "save for later" list with about 200 other items from over the years. Then I needed another TV and on a drunken spending spree (drunk-and-prime) I ordered it. Usually that just means the wife is going to give me a glare when I wake up the next morning but this time was different because instead of returning the intoxicating purchases as my wifes request. She and I tried it out and fell in love. We set up a small theater in our basement that has been empty for some time and upon enjoying the picture quality on just a white wall. Weve found that this was a keeper. Build quality: 9/10 due to the flat screw in part on the bottom of the projector to raise and lower it. Adjustability: 8/10 The keystone adjustment will either blur the top or bottom part of the screen if used. Not a huge deal unless your budget is in the $500-$2000 range. Picture quality: 9/10 With the price point you really cannot ask for 4K resolution but you can ask for standard resolution. This I feel gives you HD picture quality. Although at just 10 feet you start to see pixelation and that is a -1 for me. Would I recommend this to a friend? 10/10 would recommend. The built in speaker isnt great but anyone willing to complain about that should just hook it up to a larger audio system with the AUX port. It has plenty of ports and cords provided to plug in a xbox original or a VCR. Be kind and rewind. Thank you for reading.

After researching several similar projectors in this price range, I came across this product. At the time, there were no reviews but other items by this manufacturer had good reviews so I placed my order. The projector is easy to set up and operate. The picture is excellent for this price point. The speaker isnt great, but I didnt expect it to be at this price. Its definitely "listenable" but I connect a portable speaker via aux cable for better sound. I did encounter a problem with my first generation Amazon Fire TV Stick when connected to the projector; the stick would heat up and stop working. The projector product description indicates that it works with Amazon Fire TV stick, which was a main selling point for me, so I was disappointed that it didnt. I contacted the seller and received an immediate response. They were so helpful and even tested the equipment on their end and found no issue. They even offered me a replacement projector (I turned down the offer because it wasnt defective; my equipment was the problem). I did some further investigating and discovered that some first generation Amazon TV Fire Sticks have issues with overheating. It wasnt the projector, but my equipment. Ive used the projector problem free with other devices and Im delighted with it. I use it in the yard with a portable screen for outdoor movies. I set up lounge chairs, popcorn; the whole works! Its great fun! I also purchased the Vankyo Aluminum Tripod Projector Stand. This easily holds the projector and my portable speaker and helps make set up a breeze. I highly recommend this projector and Seller.

We purchased this projector to have a family outdoor movie night experience, and this thing delivers! Considering the low price, the projector displays a bright and sharp picture that is easy to adjust. We live in Southern California with some very mild evenings year round. This projector is easy to set up and take down in less than 5 minutes. It weighs less than 5 lbs. and comes with a well padded case with room for HDMI and RGB cables along with the remote, all of which are included with the device. We found the projector to be very effective in darkened rooms and at night outdoors. It did not have enough light to work in broad daylight or in a fully lit room. You can see the picture if you keep the throw very short, but expanding to a 70" screen just doesnt work that well in bright light. The colors are pretty good against a white sheet, but will probably look better on an actual projector screen (which we have on order). The sound is also pretty good considering the size of the speaker. Adding external speakers certainly helps and will bring a more traditional stereo experience. This is not a $1000 QLED screen but it does produce a very nice picture. This does not come with 7.2 surround sound magically embedded, but the internal speaker is loud enough to hear dialog clearly. Dont expect DOLBY ATMOS. The only 2 things that detract even a little from this projector are: 1.) The cooling fan is pretty loud. Given the compact size of the device, the fan has to spin really fast to exhaust the heat and it is very audible. 2.) The remote has to be pointed at the front of the projector (where the lens is). It would be nice if there was a repeater on the back of the projector. We just bought this, so I cant comment on longevity, but adding a low cost insurance policy to this for 3 years seems like a no brainer.

I am a 72 year old woman, not exactly tech savvy so I was a bit apprehensive about about buying this for myself and setting it up. No worries here! it came earlier than expected and was packaged beautifully. The storage case is very nice material and fits all of the components for the projector in their separate compartments, light weight and very portable. Learning how to use it was a breeze. The menus on the projector and remote were simple and straightforward. I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes out of the box. I am impressed with the quality of the product for the price. The focus knob is great so you dont have to move the projector itself back and forth to get the picture you want. Whether viewing small or large, still or movie, the picture quality seems consistent and sharp. I inserted a flash drive with photos to show some friends a "slide show," and it was great! if you want a portable projector with great features and quality, this is it!
