Ive had my heart set on creating a small home theater setup for a few months now, and after doing probably too much research, I decided to purchase this projector. The projected image quality surprised me when I first set it up. I didnt have to do much to get a good image, but if you need to make adjustments, you can always change the focus by moving a dial directly on the projector or by accessing the projector menu to change brightness, contrast, tint, etc. The adjustment options that are available with this projector are a life saver. I suggest keeping your projected screen size true to the advertised limits of this projector. Anything outside of that wont look great, and youll start to notice the pixels as you project too big of an image. I projected mine at 100" with my projector about 10 away from the wall and it looks great. Personally, I have no need to go any larger than that. The projection is best in a completely dark room, but if you have blackout curtains or something similar, you can still get your room dark enough to get a good picture even in the middle of the day. (First two pictures taken at night, last picture taken during the day using blackout curtains). Basically, this projector is definitely bright and sharp enough for my needs. Another surprise was how well the image came out even without a projection screen. I have those ragged apartment walls and I was expecting a bad initial viewing experience without a smooth surface, but I can actually enjoy what Im watching until I find a screen. Something you shouldnt rely on are the built in speakers (which makes sense since this is a projector and focuses on image, not sound quality). While I appreciate the option is available, I suggest you invest in some quality external speakers so that you have a better overall experience. In all, Im impressed with this projector and I highly recommend it to anyone who doesnt want to spend a fortune on a small home theater.

So for starters this projector is the best deal I have come across and on a side note its smaller than I expected, thats not a bad thing though. Although the native resolution is not full HD, the picture is bright, vibrant, and crisp. I have had other projectors through the years at around this price range and this one by far is the best one I have had. Its bright enough that you can still see the picture clearly in daylight as well if your using a proper projection screen and not a white bed sheet. Im a big fan of the design of the projector as well. It does not look cheap and I dare say it even has a professional look to it. It definitely also doesnt feel cheap either, it has some heft to it and all the buttons feel solid too. The extras you get are a big bonus. I was initially attracted by the fact it came with a snazzy case but I wasnt expecting all the extra cables that also came with the unit. Included with the projector you get a carry case, an HDMI cable, a VGA cable, a 3.5mm AV cable ( for VCRs and older games consoles), a power cord, and a nice little remote. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the internal speaker is pretty weak but I was expecting that. To fix that I recommend getting a 3.5mm AUX cable and connecting your favorite speaker to the headphone/line-out jack on the back for better and louder audio. If your looking for a decent budget projector then look no further. This one definitely is the one to get.

This projector does what it claims but of course it is not a $1000 projector, so dont expect $1000 performance . If you want to watch movies on this, make sure its dark. If the lights are on, you can still see the picture, but its not going to be a good experience. For the sound, the built-in speakers works but it will never give you the theater feels. You might wanna use the HDMI with your laptop and then use its Bluetooth to connect with some other speakers/Alexa. Ive found that I get much better audio performance if I route the audio directly from my device to the speaker rather than routing it through the projector and then out. If youre looking for a serious home theater projector, Id recommend spending the money for a system designed for it, however, for a movie night outside, or just a fun change on a 75" screen, pair this with a Bluetooth speaker and it does the job.

Wow what can I say, this projector is one of the best purchases Ive made to date! I got this for my B-day and Im super happy with it. I use it every day since late June and it hasnt had any problems at all! Picture quality is great and the brightness is good when using in a dark room. I use it mostly in my room projected onto my ceiling. There are uneven layers to my ceiling, but even with that the picture still looks great and my girlfriend and I watch movies like this all the time! Its like having a huge screen tv right on my ceiling! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a personal projector to use for movies, video games and sports games at get togethers or for any occasion. Awesome value for and an awesome product!

Install Flash Player "How much did that cost?" my wife asked when she came downstairs and saw the picture projected across the kitchen blinds. "Do you like it?" I replied. "Yes, it looks good, but how much was it?" she asked again. I could tell I was treading on thin ice. "$100" I responded; unable to keep the smirk off my face. "Ok, seriously, how much was it?! Im going to check the bank account!" she shot back. "Seriously, it was a $100! Go check if you want to." I retorted. For $100, this projector is awesome! Are there better projectors out there? Sure, for more $$$. But, if youre like me, and just want a larger picture without having to break the bank (we have 4 kids and a dog), then this is the projector you seek. When the box arrived, I was impressed at how well it was packaged. The carrying case is nice, and although I wont be using it much, it is a nice addition. First ★. Upon removing/inspecting the projector and accessories, once again impressed by the build quality. it didnt look cheap or feel like it was going to fall apart. Second ★. The setup was easy! After selecting my language and looking through the various menu options, I just plugged my DirectTV mini into the back of the projector via HDMI. Third ★. The picture was way better than I was expecting! Theres some motion blur when a ton of action is happening on the screen, but I suspect that is a problem for other projector or TVs in the budget category. its not bad enough where you cant watch it. The picture does get washed out in a sunlight-filled room, but again, thats to be expected. When I close the blinds, its fine. Fourth ★. The overall packaging, design, and picture quality of this $!00 projector definitely earn it the fifth ★. The kids love it (Mariokart is super fun to play when the characters are life-sized), the wife is happy that I didnt go crazy and break the bank, and Im happy because theyre happy. I dont regret this purchase at all!

Just want to update this to reflect that customer service, while super disorganized at the beginning, is trying very hard to make up for my bad experience. I have already returned this and purchased another project that Im happy with. But in terms of customer service, I just wanted to say that they are trying. I bought this to use with my iPhone. The documentation that comes with it provides no instructions for setting it up with a phone but there is a USB port so I tried using the lightning to USB cable that came with my phone but no dice. Turns out, you have to buy another $50+ cable to use it with a phone BUT theyre also not sure if its compatible with the current iOS. Support is responsive, but overall, this has just sucked. Who knows if it works well? Not I. The product description reads, "MULTIMEDIA PORTABLE PROJECTOR:...allows you to connect a wide variety of HD devices to easily display your content...smartphone." If you scroll waaaaaaaay down the page, you get "2. When connect with iphone, you need an extra Lightning to HDMI adapter (not included)." That should be front and center if youre touting its compatibility with phones in the description. So now I have a project I cant even test unless I invest in an a adapter I dont need for anything else. So do I spend more money to see if MAYBE it works with iOS 12.1? Because they cant tell me (at least they were honest about that.) Or do I send the whole fecking thing back? Terrible experience. Even if I get the cable and it works, I still wont be able to recommend this vendor. Update: I went and bought the Apple Lightning to HDMI cable and it still does not work. So, there ygo. It doesnt work either with iphone or with iOS12 or both—who knows?

Overall, Im fairly happy with the projector. This is the second projector I bought that is under $100. The one I bought previously was about $90, and I was very happy with it considering the price. However, Im more satisfied with this projector, the VANKYO, primarily because it has better picture quality. I like how it has 1920x1080p resolution. Its fairly notable compared to my other 1080x720p projector. The other two features that I like about the Vankyo, is that it came with a HDMI cable and fairly good built in speakers. I was happy about the HDMI cable, because I dont need to transfer an HDMI cable from one room to another, or invest in another HDMI. As far as the speaker, Im happy to have them on the projectoor. They arent crystal clear, but Im still happy enough with them for the <$100 price, that Id still give the projector 5 stars.

This unit is a very nice portable package that is easy to set up. To be completely fair, I was testing it on a taupe wall during the middle of a sunny day (shades drawn). The built-in speaker is better than I expected. I do occasional presentations for a couple of non-profits I volunteer for. Sometime the venues equipment is not compatible with mine and this seemed like an inexpensive solution. I have to say at the moment Im a bit disappointed, but I wont give up on it until I test it properly. Also the enclosed instructions state it is not recommended for PPT. The fan is a bit loud, but easy to ignore.

A good idea is to use a projector screen like the 100" model Vankyo makes. having a perfect white screen gives more accurate colors.

I was using this projector to copy images onto paintings. The image resolution is low. But the main issue I have had is the images are distorted and the native aspect ratio is distorted. There is an aspect ratio adjustment in the menu, but it didnt seem to fix the issue. The keystone adjustment is very simple and mechanical. The projector itself seems well constructed and has lots of convenient cables and such. I think this projector is more suited for movies on a small screen. Overall, it seems like a really nice unit, and would be great for other uses, it just didnt suit the purpose I need. UPDATE: I contacted Vankyo about this and they sent back a very nice note, saying they agree it is not ideally suited for working with artwork or powerpoint, and they will try to make it more clear in their advertising. They said they have other models that are better suited for this. So I think they have very good customer service!
