About 3 years ago, we got rid of our TV and bought our first projector. Unfortunately weve gone through 3 projectors of various brands because they all developed a brown spot after a few months of use. Since its our main TV now, we put lots of hours on them. The previous ones we owned were each less than $100, so I felt if I had to buy one every year, it was worth it. One of the projectors was the older model of the ABOX, but since they were good about replacing it once, I felt comfortable trying another one of their products. This one is a bit more expensive but they claim it has better air circulation. Time will tell. When I unboxed this one, I noticed that it was almost the same case as the previous model, so I was skeptical that it would be any better, however when I got it all hooked up, I noticed some major differences. Ill start with the Negatives even though they are just minor annoyances: - The settings menu colors are annoying. Hard to explain. Ill just leave it at that since I only used that menu for initial setup. - When I first hooked up my Chromecast stick, I lost picture when I physically moved the projector around so I think the HDMI port is a bit sensitive. Once I got it in place, it hasnt happened since. Heres the Good: - This one definitely seems to have better resolution. I can clearly read even smaller text, where on our other projectors, it was quite blurry. - On our other projectors, I could never get the focus right while using the keystone adjustment. Either the top or bottom was in focus, but never both. On this one, using a combination of both the Keystone adjustment knob and the software Keystone correction, I was able to get an even focus on the top and bottom. That was a huge difference! - The picture seems brighter and images seem crisper. - We dont have blackout curtains. Still, we can see the picture fairly clearly even during the day. But at night, the picture is absolutely beautiful. - As far as sound, Im using an external soundbar (cabled), so we dont notice any difference there but it transfers the sound to the soundbar without any issues. So far, Im happy. I cant compare this to more expensive name brand models because weve ever owned one of those, but I can say with certainty that its the best projector weve owned so far. Hopefully, I shouldnt need to upgrade for a while.

Install Flash Player This is one of the best video projectors Ive ever used. I have seen projectors of the same price before, they claim to be 720p, and they also have a brightness of nearly 3,000 lumen. However, when I use these projectors to watch video in the daytime, even if I pull the curtain, the screen still has obvious whitening, resulting in my poor viewing experience. I have purchased from abox previosly & they do have high quality equipment, so when I saw this new released abox projector, I had to try it. It is very easy to install. Even for someone like me who doesnt usually do these type of things its pretty simple. I tried to watch one of my favorite movies with the curtains open, & the image quality turned out to be surprisingly good. The color is vivid, the quality is clear and most importantly, the screen is not whitened, or dulled and is very strong in brightness, & I felt like I was in a movie theater. In addition, the remote controller is very effective and responsive. Anyway, I really like this video projector, I think it is excellent quality and at a reasonable price. I would recommendthis to anyone considering a new projector.

Body: Preparation before Purchase: Every time I decide to buy something on amazon, I always spend a lot of time comparing each product, including price, performance, style, buyer feedback, etc. When I browsed the projector, I took a fancy to this abox black video projector. At the same time I also noticed the dbpower have a design the same as the projector, I carefully compared with some of their differences, finding abox has a higher lumens and contrast ratio, also supporting native 720p, although it is only a few buyers feedback, but I finally choose to try abox, because I need a higher brightness, want to use it in my living room. Post-purchase Experience: This projector did nt disappoint me! It is enough top-quality and user-friendly. 1.About the package, when I received the projector, it was wrapped in a sealed box with foam paper inside, which was good enough to protect the projector from damage caused by bumps. I unwrapped the package and there were a projector, av cables, hdmi cables, a power adapter, a screw and a remote controller. I want to mention in particular that this remote control is very good, very responsive, and doesnt require a lot of waiting. 2.About the installation, its very simple enough. Our living room just has a idle ceiling bracket, I moved a ladder with this very light projector and screw. It took me less than 10 minutes without the help of others. I adjusted the upside down function in the Settings to view the screen normally. 3.About the image quality, I bought an hdmi converter so that my phone could be connected to the projector, and the color on the screen was very vivid, not pixelated at all. I downloaded a 1080p video on my phone, and the projector also supports 1080p, which is perfect, and I love that. 4.About the screen size and distance, the following is the result I tested, 3.28ft---33, 7.08ft---72, 9.84ft---100, 11.81ft---120. My room has limited space, so I havent continued testing out what its maximum screen size is. But 120 is enough for my needs. 5.As for the sound system, the sound is strong enough to be loud enough that I dont have to specifically connect to an external sound system to get a louder sound. If you want better sound quality, such as a subwoofer, you can also connect to your own speaker. Ive been using this projector for a week, and every time I use it to watch a movie, I feel like Im watching a movie at a small home theater, and all in all, I really, really like this projector, excellent quality and reasonable price. I think Ill buy another one for my best friend as a birthday gift.

The projector is well built, compact, lightweight, and easy to set up and focus. It can be placed on a desk/table or mounted to a standard tripod. It comes with three media ports (USB, HDMI, and VGA) so you can connect almost anything from laptop/desktop computers, gaming console, and Android streaming devices like Fire TV, UBox. The user interface is easy to navigate and the setting can be personalized. This projector also has internal speakers or you can use the audio output to connect to an external speaker system. Even though the projector is small, lightweight and quiet, but it gives bright and high-resolution pictures with good sound. It is perfect for home entertainment, streaming videos, playing group games as well as making professional presentations. Overall, this is projector is compact with good image quality and all the essential features for a projector at a higher price range. Overall it is a Good Value for the Money. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable compact projector for group study, home entertainment as well as making presentations.

Install Flash Player I wanted a projector for public speaking, and so that meant it had to be real HD. The problem with most low-cost projectors are that they are "HD compatible" but are not native HD. This one is a true 720P. I cannot find any real 1080P projector for under about $450. This one was the sweet spot for me. I was actually blown away by how bright it is. I have a very tall ceiling in my bedroom, and tested it during the day with the shades open - it was plainly clear and usable for presenting under those conditions. I didnt actually expect to want to use this for personal stuff, but now I am going to attach it to my bed and watch movies on the ceiling at night. My PC has four or five HDMI outputs and this will be one of them.

An awesome 720P projector for the price range.. Love the colors and brightness.. The speaker is decent and it works really well for me,it has a built in speakers as well so you do not need your own speak if you dont want to plug one in. Also Really love the size of that projector: you can bring it literally anywhere. Perfect for a movie outside, in the backyard. Overall a pretty decent projector for the price you pay.so if yo are undecided about this product look no further i recommend this.

This is the third projector I tried. This one meets my projector expectations and needs. We have been watching videos from either a laptop or tablet while in bed. I would hold the computer and my wife would have to lie on her side to see. A little uncomfortable for both of us. I wanted to try projection onto the ceiling. I started with the QKK projector which I bought for $69.99 with Amazon coupon. The QKK had a pretty good, but definitely not great picture. It was limited by only 15 degrees of keystone. The sound was terrible. Music tracks would blair, while voices could barely be heard. The bad sound persisted when the projector was connected by cable to an external speaker. The solution was to bluetooth the external speaker. The picture was consistently red shifted... User settings could correct the picture to an almost acceptable level. The QKK simply did not provide the experience I wanted. I next tried one of the micro projectors with Android 7.1 operating experience. Close, but no cigar. The remote pointer was very glitchy and simply not enough lumens to get a good picture. Sound was better than the QKK, but still needed a bluetoothed external speaker. Sharpness of image was pretty good. In a really dark room, it might have been suitable (in an emergency) for a power point presentation. Plus, it was well over $200.00. I did more research and learned something about video quality. 1. Inexpensive projectors, while capable of projecting 1080p video actually have a 480p native format, 720 x 480 pixels per frame. That interprets to DVD quality. Definitely not sharp enough for a Powerpoint presentation. Subtitles however are quit legible. 2. The next level of quality is 720p, 1280 x 720 pixels per frame, which is BluRay quality. This quality of video, for me, is very acceptable for viewing videos. 3. Finally native 1080p is true high definition, accompanied by a pretty significant projector price tag. I decided to try a projector with native 720p resolution. A box makes both 720p and 1080p projectors. The 1080p is more than twice as expensive as this, the 720p projector. 1st, the projector arrived a day early, pleasant surprise. My ideal set up is to attach the projector to a small, desktop tripod. The tripod nicely wedges between my headboard and the wall. This results in an image that needs a lot of keystone adjustment. This projector has 45 degrees of adjustment. You need to go into settings to get the full keystone, but both vertical and horizontal keystone is available in settings. The keystone lever at the lens allowed me to fine tune the vertical adjustment. Text clarity is pretty good. I think this projector could do a powerpoint, in a small room, in an emergency. I could not get a perfectly focused image on both top and bottom, probably because I am keystoning at pretty close to the maximum of 45 degrees. However, I opened a word document and with enlargement, could read it pretty well. Color reproduction was excellent, as well as strength of image. I kept a bedside lamp turned on and the image was as nearly as good as my 40 in lcd computer monitor. Much, much better than the image from the slightly less expensive 480p projectors. Sound was ok, but barely acceptable. I have some frequency loss (I am 71 years old) and like the sound a little loud, which helps me separate voices from background. I watched two movies with projector sound, but prefer sound bluetoothed to an external speaker. Using an Android sound mixer on my tablet also helps. Settings allows the user to use 3 different preset color balance shifts: cool, normal, and warm. There is also a user defined setting. User defined also allows adjusting the brightness and sharpness settings. As already stated, even with a bedside light turned on, I had a very viewable image. I tried projecting in a normally lit, small room (bedroom), Although the image was a little washed out, it was very viewable. I did not take the time to fine tune the image. I do not think this projector would be ideal for a large audience in a large room. If that was my purpose, I would definitely try the Abox 1080p projector. This projector fully satisfies my projector needs. The only con I have is that the tripod screw mount is also the front height adjustment screw hole. It is located on the bottom, front of the projector, which might make a small tripod unstable. For my buck, this is a keeper. No major compromises in picture quality. It is not a 600 or 1000 dollar plus projector, but seems great for home use. BTW, I use a miracast dongle to cast from my laptop or tablet. Miracast works with Amazon Prime on all my devices. It works with Netflix on two of my three devices. Netflix shows subtitles, but not the image when cast from my ASUS P001 tablet. Perhaps has something to do with the "Screen Color Mode" setting which apparently can not be turned off.

As I said to my son, "this is the most expensive cheap projector you can buy." I needed an inexpensive projector for some digital halloween effects at my home. After doing a bit of research, I purchased this model as it had the features I needed: Bright enough for projecting digital effects onto pumpkins that were 5 feet away from the projector, high enough resolution to not see the pixels and HDMI input for generic use. For the money, this is a decent projector. The native resolution, with 800 horizontal lines, is pretty good. The brightness from that little LED is dim, but acceptable in an unlit room where youre projecting an image thats less than 6 feet diagonally. I actually believe the 200 lumens rating score. Contrast is pretty poor if compared to home theater projectors, but tolerable. The manual focus is fine, and the little bit of keystone correction does indeed help if youre not projecting perpendicularly from the center of your screen. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had an onboard media player for content on a USB or SD card! For haunts, this is perfect... just put your videos in a directory on the flash device and the projector will constantly loop the videos. It had no problems with the H264 videos on my USB flash drive that were 1080p. The onboard media player instantly adds at least $40 to the value of the projector! I also tested HDMI from a Roku 3 and it worked fine at both 1080p and 720p. I ended up keeping it on 720p. The onboard sound is another plus, although keep your expectations in check here. It is, after all, a very, very small speaker. But, the standard audio out port is easily connected to other speakers if you need to. What do I miss? Some kind of zoom. The only way to make the image smaller or larger is to fiddle with the distance from your screen. If these projectors with their ability to play 720p without loss of resolution ever get below $100, theyre going to be a steal. For now, what you get for your money is a cheap, light, easy to use projector thats perfectly fine for the kids in a dark room... or for something like Halloween haunts. In summary, not a very good image, but its certainly a great value.
