I researched a long time before buying this projector, but it was worth it because this is a great projector. The two key elements for me were the lumens and the resolution. The 2800 lumens is bright enough to project clearly in a lit room. I dont think there is much difference between 2800 and 3000 lumens, but there is a big difference between 2800 and the ones in the lower range that require a dark room for projection. The other key element was the resolution. I read many reviews that talked about how the 800x600 resolution was not sharp enough, so I paid a little bit more and got this projector with the XGA (1024x768) resolution. It projects a sharp picture which is good enough to read Powerpoint briefings with regular size print. I am impressed with it so far. Another factor I looked at is replacement bulbs. This has economy bulbs for less than $40 or premium for around $90. .

This unit was purchased to use in outreach programs at widely varying venues and room conditions. It is also used by people unfamiliar with setting up and using projectors. It was worked out beautifully for us. We plan to buy another one now. Using HDMI connections we are able to move seamlessly between MAC and Windows computers eliminating the need for adapters. That simple connection also means it is extremely simple to set up for our inexperienced people. The built-in speakers are adequate for all but the largest rooms so far. Sound quality is not theater quality, but does have enough clarity and volume. There is a significant price difference between the XGA and WXGA. In my testing I couldnt detect that much difference. The XGA has worked well for our Powerpoint presentations featuring photos. 2800 lumens translates into a bright image in most situations. The lens system produces a sharp image. The keystone correction option is pretty amazing providing side to side as well as up and down adjustments to fix keystoning. Controls are easy to learn and use. I like the fact that the screen can be darkened from the remote control. One limitation for me is that filling a wall with an image requires the projector to be located well back in the room. The zoom and lens combination doesnt allow that short throw. That is a minor issue for most of us. Time will tell if we get 10,000 hours out of the lamp. It shouldnt be a problem since they are relatively inexpensive to replace. In summary, this is a lightweight, bright and easy to use projector at a reasonable price.

I purchased this because I have started working for a volunteer organization doing bystander intervention training. Some of the places we present have tech support and AV tools, but some presentations happen in homes, basement rooms in churches, or conference rooms in non-tech-savvy non-privileged communities and organizations. I wanted a reasonably portable and flexible projector to use with my MacBookPro in a wide variety of settings. It projects well. I can adjust for presenting at an angle, which often occurs. It allows HDMI and USB connections to my laptop. It is bright enough that I dont have to have lights off and shades pulled - though I wouldnt try it outdoors in open sunlight. It is incredibly easy to use, and quiet. As a bonus, I can use it to share photos with friends and family instead of having everyone crumpled together breathing down each others necks. Good enough for friends and family - but it would not do for a professional photography show to customers.

Setup is easy right out of the box. The picture quality is fantastic, the colors are rich and brighter then I thought it would be. I have this setup in my 3 car garage to watch sports games, even with the double garage door open it barely effects the picture quality. The sound out of that little speaker is amazing as well. There are also plenty of ways to hook it up to anything via HDMI, RCA, VGA. For the price you cant go wrong with this projector, I might even buy another one. Of course the picture from my IPad dose not look the same as if you were here. You will have to buy one yourself to find out.

I just got this projector. My intention is to put all my family pictures and short videos (taken on regular camera and regular video camera.. not cell phone camera) and put them on a USB drive and take this projector to friends and family to show family pics and movies. I just got it and have already had to call customer service. A little more "defective" than I would like, but.. the issue is... I put my pics/vids on a 64GB USB flashdrive... and it wouldnt recognize the USB flashdrive. I called... long story short.... ..this unit ONLY recognizes a flash drive of 2 GB or less for videos and no limit for pictures. I also DOES NOT recognize a USB flashdrive that has both on it! Meaning.. I have to have one USB flash drive for pictures and a separate one for videos and this one can only have 2GB of video on it. I am very dissapointed in this as it is more things I have to carry with me....but I will work on it and see how it turns out. I will update as I learn and get the unit to work right. Stay tuned And theres more. It also wont recognize home made videos, even when I burn them with .AVI extension. I hook my DVD player to the projector.. and "store bought" DVDs play great... but when I put my home movies on... it says "Disk Error". However, if I put the same disk in my laptop and hook my laptop to the projector.. the DVDs play just fine. I have tried to burn them with .AVI extension but it is still not recognizing it. So.. bottom line, I cant use it for why I bought it. And.. I cant use it unless I have my laptop hooked to it with an E: drive.

I *LOVE* this projector! Ive used it for various lessons and workshop presentations in small and large spaces. The picture is bright and the clarity is great. A colleague of mine uses a bigger, bulkier Epson model (which Ive also used on numerous occasions before purchasing this one), and I find that this smaller, lighter model does the job just as well, but is more portable for travel.

This is a very nice projector. I was a little worried about the picture just because I wanted the WXGA rather then the XGA. But when I received it I open it up and plugged it in and the picture was beautiful with very vivid colors and it was the middle of the day. I have used it outside for outdoor movie nights and its great. Love this projector!!!!!

It is definitely worth the $400. I bought cheaper one prior to this one, but it is night and day difference. It is bright - I can see the screen (picture, letter, etc.) during the day time without no problems. The resolution is great enough to view Power Point slides and movies. So far it is great.

We use this projector both indoors and out. The image is bright and clear. We use it for movie nights in the backyard paired with a Bluetooth speaker. We have also used it for football games on our textured cream colored walls with excellent results. For the money, it is an exceptional value. So glad we bought it!

Bought it for the seminary I work for. The old one was not so bright or clear, the lights needed to be turned off which was a major distraction for the class and professors. The new Epson VS350 XGA with 3,300 lumens, the lights stay on, the letters are not fuzzy completely readable and clear.
