Dinged it two stars because the focus knob is abolute TRASH. It should have some sort of redesign to be deliberately and finely adjusted. If you use it at short range, its entirely too sensitive and has a bunch of slop. Easily the worst design Ive seen on *any* projector.... ever. Seems so-so bright; if you project onto a white or reflective screen seems entirely *satisfactory*, but large projection can get dim if youre in bright environment. Youll not forget that its a travel projector. all in all a nice projector, but I find myself constantly annoyed by the focus wheel. The main plus here is the its battery powered and native 1080p.

Been only using this projectors for a few days but the performance and clarity with native 1080P resolution is simply amazing. Onboard media player adds convenience to play files quickly off a USB or microSD. Primarily Ive been using the full sized HDMI port to connect to my devices ranging from PS4 Pro to Amazon Fire Stick.

So on paper this projector is one of the best values on the market right now and I really was hoping it would live up to the specs, which it does more or less do. The image is bright enough to use in a room for presenting a powerpoint even with a fair amount of ambient light and the resolution being true 1080p is very clear. However, as this is a new product, seems like Aaxa hasnt worked out the production issues as Ive gotten and returned two units due to different issues. The first one wouldnt focus properly and the second unit had a discoloration issue and some random flickering that would pop up across the projected image. All in all, a great idea, but the execution seems to have fallen short.

I really love its portability and the full HD resolution. Here are some cons so far: - A bit too noisy fan, especially when plugged in. - The color is a bit odd. For some reason it cant display red color properly and its more like magenta to me. - The mounting hole doesnt fit the tripod that came with the package. I had to work hard to get it in place. It would be a big plus if they make it zoomable.

The picture was clear and bright in most environments. A very good upgrade to 1080 p for me. However, I would like a truer color representation. I agree with previous comments about the bright pink colors (particularly in lips and skin tones) being unnatural and somewhat distracting. Most reds are displayed almost as an “electric pink”. Manual adjustments did not seem to remedy this. Would like the manufacturer to address this and post an update please.

I use this for my ad-hoc presentation usually indoor and it’s clear and bright enough for the audience of 10+. When it is plugged in, in a darkened room the resolution is satisfactory to serve as a home theatre.

Update Feb 18, AXAA has contact me with an RMA number and said they are working for a patch to the color issue. Let see if they come through, current patch they sent me does apply to HDMI input so I am waiting for that one. I must state that I bought this Projector directly from AAXA online on Feb-11 and received it on Feb-13, picture is indeed 1080p, bright and sharp, but... First impression, the product looks very (very) cheap. The remote control is like those remotes that come with the cheap HDMI signal splitting box but I could live with that. The product did not come with any manual, but I could live with that also. The first issue I could not live with is the fan noise, which is so loud it masks the speaker volume big time. Second issue, picture is extremely washed out colors, bright, but washed out colors. In the menu there are plenty of settings to play with, however none of them works... For example, I lowered all settings to 0 and the picture stayed the same...:o( I will try to return this product to AAXA, about 15 min after I got it. Hopefully I will not loose all of my 450$...

TLDR - the best compact portable projector in terms of battery life, picture quality, interface. I ended up buying four or five different pico projectors in this category and tested them all. My hypothesis that this one was the best was indeed right. Image quality -- fantastic four presentations for business, but also excellent for watching videos. Brightness was fantastic even in broad daylight. I used this for presentations in conference rooms with a lot of lighting and also projected a movie in my backyard on a summer day. In both cases the image was very visible and the projector performed well. Battery life - it lasts 90 minutes on a full charge which is perfect for a movie. In fact I took this camping and we watched movies and I didnt have to worry about charging this all too often. we did have the benefit of having a power outlet that are campsite but it was nice to know that I could move this projector around and not always have to plug it in. Also for business its nice to be able to project slides in a conference room without looking for an outlet or watch a movie in my hotel room at the end of the day and not have to scramble for an extension cord. Interface - Ive had AAXA projectors and so I was already familiar with the interface. I love how simple, clean, easy to understand it is. Some of the competitors on the market have interfaces designed overseas and there are laughable misspellings and non-intuitive placement of buttons. The P7 has a very straightforward and easy to understand interface. they include a remote but the buttons on the unit in self-suffice to navigate around if you dont want to carry the remote with you everywhere. Overall Im very pleased. sure, there are others that are cheaper but theres a reason. When I tested those other brands the image quality, in particular, was significantly worse and not as bright. Overall I am very pleased with this product. I have not been disappointed by AAXA projectors to date (this is now my 4th and I love them all). Also found the perfect sized case. The P7 fits into this case on its own. A little extra room for a Chromecast and some wires but not the power supply. Thats fine for me because I charge up the P7 and take the unit with me in this case on short trips.
