Super compact but has all the features I need. Great buy. The internet was easy to connect and I have been streaming on Amazon ever since.

This device did not work for me. Had to send it back. Im writing the review to just inform everyone. I was able to send it back and get a refund as I didnt want to try another device again. Issue I had, I was not able to use the Apps that required WiFi. Each time I went to use a App that required WiFi a message would come up saying updating time. Though it would never update the time no matter how long I left running. Did a software update to the device and didnt fix the problem. Im sure it works great for others but mine didnt.

This is the most disappointing purchase Ive ever made on Amazon. Bought this as a gift for my daughter in April. The day of the party I gave it to her... 5 months later... she opens the still factory sealed box, puts it in, and nope. It needs an update before it will work. So, after downloading the update from Samsung I try to install it via USB (WiFi wont work till the firmware upgrade). No... wont install. AWESOME. So now, because I didnt open it and see if it worked when it arrived, we are stuck with an electric drink coaster. What a colossal piece of crap from Samsung. Amazon wont let me return it because it was "purchased" 6 months ago. Never mind it hasnt been open but 1 day. Horrible customer satisfaction. Do yourself a favor... STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG DVD PLAYERS!

Most of the electronics I own are "refurbs", many of them Samsung. Never been wary of buying one or had a problem with any of them til now. Problem being, if you play a BD, then eject it, then insert another, it reports that it "Cannot load disc!". This is very annoying. Particularly if you are watching a series on BD. The only solution Ive found is to remove any disc, then power down the unit for 30 seconds or so, then power it back up. Then, theres usually not a problem. I assume the memory in the unit is not "clearing" correctly. Never had this problem with any of the BD Players Ive owned. Also, it wont Resume Play on some discs, but, I understand that this has to do with discs that use BD Java turning it off by default, so, not a fault with the player. I guess (?) And, yes, to me, least ways, this merits a one star review.

I bought this player 5 months ago. At first, it was great! Streamed Netflix and Amazon with no problems. Last month it started dropping the wifi intermittently. Now it wont even play 5min into a movie/TV show before the wifi drops. Ive reset everything multiple times to no avail. Its too late to return it. So far it still plays blu-ray and DVD, so its not a total waste. However, I now need to purchase something to stream with. I expected more from a national brand.

Bought this a couple months back and finally got around to watching a blue ray disk on it tonight. Unfortunately this is my worst purchase in recent months. The player pauses the disk every 10-20 seconds. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and just hit play until we surpassed the 10 minute mark. I have tried every remedy found online and am deciding that the advice to have it serviced is the probable solution. This is such a disappointment. I pride myself on reading reviews and making wise money choices but apparently buying this product was not a great decision. I will say the streaming options (which I didn’t know were included as I was only looking a nice blue ray player) and picture quality are superb, too bad I only get to see that quality in 10-20 second increments. I would not recommend purchasing this product as it will cost you should there be a problem.

This bluray player is pretty slow and when attempting to reach the top menu instead of watching previews the player will go back to the beginning, so instead of getting to your featured film you have to watch the same stuff over again. The software running this unit is very finicky. When reloading the same disc that we didnt finish watching the night before Im pretty sure it asked me if i wanted to return to that part of the movie and I attempted to select yes but of course it brought me to the beginning of the disc. I threw away the box so I wont bother trying to return it but if i did it all over again I would rather have spent twice the money and not hate my bluray player.

I purchased this player on Feb. 12, 2018. I didnt check it out right away, but instead just this week ( 28 Jan. 2019). That was a mistake. When initiated, the video had an erratic display and a popping noise, and these issues never resolved until I powered the unit down some 20 minutes later. It was NOT "Certified Refurbished" as the advertiser said, otherwise it would have worked as advertised. This product is unmerchantable as is, but I wont return it because its past the return date. Lessons learned, check it out immediately, because there are scoundrels out there who count on people to be busy and/or procrastinate until its too late - like me.

Theres not much to say about this item besides that it failed and will no longer power on. After owning it for three months, it simply stopped working one day. Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be any recourse, as its a refurbished product. Besides the failure, I would rate this player as simply being "OK." While it did play DVD/Blu Ray discs, Netflix and Amazon Prime for our family, the unit took a long time to power up, the interface is convoluted and slow, and apps performed slugglishly compared with other smart TVs and devices in our household. I wouldnt recommend this product even if it didnt break on me so I have to rate it one star given the circumstances and poor quality of the product interface.

We only have a few Blu-Ray discs, so were mainly interested in it for its built-in web services (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc) and playing regular DVDs; especially since it sells for only $4.00 more than a Roku Plus does locally. Setup could not have been easier. Just provide it your passwords and account sign-in and it did the rest. The screen interface has a large easy -to-spot icon for playing discs as well as the various online services. Were completely pleased with the unit and would recommend it to anyone with needs similar to ours and not a lot of money. If I were to nit-pick anything about it, it would be the lack of any power-on light or display screen on the face of the unit that indicates its on. However, since its pretty much set-and-forget, thats not been and issue for us.
