Ok, it plays discs. But it is irritating to live with. The biggest problem is that there is no eject button on the unit. Only on the remote. Get up to go change the disk and you have to take the remote with you. This is utterly ridiculous. Samsung, spend the fifty cents it takes to put in an eject button. The second irritating thing is the user interface. It looks like it was designed by and for three-year-olds. First time Ive been really disappointed with a Samsung product. Edited, after a couple months: downgraded to one star. Now it refuses to play certain perfectly good discs. Avoid. IMO

I hooked this up to a 7 series Samsung 4K tv (75in) and it looks amazing. Blu-ray’s look better than ever(almost 4K). DVDs even look better than before. Netflix looks great especially the 4K titles. You can get an extended warranty and save $ from buying it new.

I rarely buy remanufactured stuff but was happy with this purchase. Everything seemed to be like new and everything worked without problems.

To begin with, it arrived on time and in like new condition. I have a 3D TV and 3D receiver when my other Samsung 3D Blue-ray player started repeating and not reading disks. So upset. Love 3D movies but not sure how long the receiver or TV will last, I didnt want to invest hundreds in a blue-ray player so I took a chance on refurbished. Stuck with Samsung because my 3D glasses are Samsung, Believe me, I wore it out. I dont stream, just needed a 3D Blue-ray player. I read the reviews on this model. Several people complained it would not play 4K movies. But it didnt say it played 4K. Stated it played movies in 4K like picture quality. I have watched Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2 on my other player over 10 times each on my other Samsung player so they were the first 3D movies I put in to test the player. The 3D was better than my last player, which was tops in its day. But Ive only had it a week. Watched Downton Abbey DVDs and they played OK except when I pressed rewind because I missed a part when I went into the kitchen. When it rewound, it made the worst sound, but it did rewind. Never heard a player sound like that before. Now when I miss something, I press the I<< button and let it jump and just re watch to see the part I missed. I only used rewind once and I am still under the 30 day warranty plus I bought the extra warranty. My main concern was that it played 3D and it does. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the rewind issue which I have not contacted anyone about. Dont want to be without the player to get it repaired if it is a problem. For all I know, maybe its suppose to screech like that. Ive only had it a week. Should I have any serious problems, I WILL update this review. I would also like to mention the remote. The buttons regarding the PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, and <<,>> functions were in a glow in the dark color. My other remote, all the buttons were black and I had to turn the light on. With this remote, I dont. I like that.

I went against my usual instincts, going for a furbished unit rather than brand new. So far, after a month of ownership, all is generally well. The unit is surprisingly loud when initially spinning up a disc, but is not noisy while a movie is playing. Of course, that may be the same with a 100% new unit, as well. The picture quality is truly great. One thing that was very mildly irritating is that the terms of purchase and description of such a refurbished product said anything using batteries would come with ones having at least 80% charge. This unit came with no batteries for its remote at all. The last thing is that I fundamentally agree with another reviewers observation that the lack of an eject button on the unit is ridiculous. Samsung, please spend a penny or two to include one.

Looked like a great unit with original packaging. My kids were excited to get their streaming shows back after our last player wore out. Too bad this refurb unit didnt even turn on. Just a little click of the drive when you plug it in and then... nothing. Remote controlled my Samsung TV perfectly but got no response from the player. Top buttons did nothing either. I even tried putting the player firmware on a USB stick and letting it power on with that. Nothing. Contacted the seller and... nothing. Back this goes, thank you Amazon for making that part as painless as possible. For $20 more, I got a brand new Sony player with equivalent features elsewhere.

After reading the mixed comments I took a chance (with its return policy). The box had been bubble repacked and resealed but every accessory listed was included along with its sealed mummy wrappings, cord ties and renewed card/sticker...it LOOKED brand new. Go figure, for being refurbished? Visual instructions, quick and easy plug & play but no batteries included for the remote this player teamed perfectly with my Samsung TV. NOTE: I also own a recent model Samsung curved Blu-ray/DVD player with and external eject button but sadly no visible readout. I much preferred this BDJ6300 model with a lit-digital display readout and lighted remote...without an external eject button isnt a big deal for me. Im surprisingly satisfied with this refurbished unit...so far.

I know this statement is so cliche but I was skeptical of this purchase. Of course it turned out to be a really nice DVD/Blueray player. Ive had ABSOLUTELY no issues with it and it was extremely easy to program. Great product and yes I highly recommend purchasing one as a gift for yourself or a love one.
