Beware: screen is extremely fragile and not under warranty
I had this for less than 2 weeks and was really impressed, but then this morning I turned it on and 2 huge swaths of the screen were no longer updating. I contacted Kobo support and they say that it's been "physically damaged" (There is no obvious damage.) and that is not covered. My only options are to repair it myself with a part bought from iFixit (which voids the warranty and ruins the waterproofing) or buy a new one. I'd been planning to transition from the Kindle Oasis to this product, but it's just no where near as durable. I've had the Oasis 3+ years and the Kobo didn't even last 3 weeks.
