Does what it's supposed to but obsolete
I'm not sure who this is for. I feel like most people have Smartphones and tablets and can read on those devices. Getting a device for just reading from the Kindle selection in this day and age is like getting an iPod just for Apple's selection of music when you can get it on your phone. If you don't have those devices I guess it's good but who doesn't? I was hoping my grandma (who uses a flip phone) could use this and get back into reading but (while it's lightweight) I think it's too small and difficult to use for her. On this device you can read from Kindle and do some basic web browsing. I wish you could at least use some library apps on it to download books that open with the Kindle program but instead I have to download them with my IPhone and then they show up synced in the Kindle (again, something my grandma won't be able to do on her own). It's not for me (or Grandma), but if you're just looking to read some books purchased on the Kindle program on one device and nothing else it's fine.

I can’t begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this Kindle! It’s my first e-reader and it has gone above and beyond all my expectations. The screen is so easy to read no matter the lighting conditions. I’ve brought this to the beach and had no issues in the sun. Its also great for me because I spend all day at work looking at computer screens and often experience eye strain.. but I can read at night and it doesn’t even bother me. Also the battery life is incredible, lasts so long - great for car & plane rides :)

Kindle - books on the go!
The Kindle battery life seems pretty good. The screen is easy on my eyes and makes reading on a device much better. The Kindle is thin and fits in my bag perfectly for on the go reading. I love how the screen is split between my books and the discovery section so that I can find new and exciting books to read.
