Seems to be old technology
Your picture above doesn't seem to be the mouse I ordered. This one has a click wheel like a mouse I had several years ago. Here is a photo of what I received. I may be wrong but it is not as responsive as my old mouse. PS I bought a new 15.6 Pavilion hp to replace my elderly 14 ENVY. The Pavilion is great!
It comes with a battery, so smooth and hand full.
I bought this two week ago and I'm so happy it is handful to use so smooth,and connect so easily. Highly recommend and also hp products last for a long time
USB receiver came apart in USB port
Used mouse for two days without issue. Went to remove the receiver from the USB port and the metal usb fitting on the receiver (little blue piece that allows the mouse to "talk" to the computer) broke off from the blue plastic part and remained stuck in my usb port (actually an Apple USB dongle for a MacBook Pro). Not ideal. I was able to remove it from the USB with pliers, but the two pieces no long stay attached to one another as they should.
Happy to have a wireless mouse
So far in its brief life with me this mouse has been flawless. However I am concerned about the battery cover because the entry door seems very fragile. Time will tell.
Good for short use, bad for longer sessions
This mouse is very small, very aesthetically pleasing, and very much functional. However, its size is also its weakest feature, consistent prolonged use of this mouse will undoubtedly lead to arthritis and because I sit at a computer ever day, I am definitely going to look for something bigger.
HP Mouse
I bought this a few weeks ago and it will do for what I need it for. As other reviews, it's smaller than the average mouse.

Love all the accessories. Used in school with math students. Since l have retired, use for family use. My daughter and grandma need to print occasionally. Also, I have a Hp laptop.
