Bought this for my son. He always watches, utube videos on his iPhone 8. Now he doesn't have to. I did my research, that's why I didn't buy an, off brand. If you have apps, they will not play, Netflix, or other apps, for streaming. They will just keep, like they are loading. I also bought the 15' HDMI cord. New cord cutter using casting aka mirroring
With being a recent cord cutter a week into this new adventure, my tv went out. I waited two weeks to do my research streaming and casting and came across the Apple Lighting AV Adaptor for my new smart TV. You do need some type of streaming service, HDMI cord and Tv with A USB port. The setup is a no brainer and takes all of one-two minuets to connect.
Remember to set your display to “never” otherwise your program/screen goes into sleep mode every two-five- ten minutes. Next, you’ll find upon startup the screen will be on “mute” tap the screen of your iPad and you will find the mute option is on the bottom right of the screen (at least for me it is).
