Bought this Epson for my home. Its my second Epson. I bought it for the refillable Eco-Tank to save on expensive cartridges. The Eco-Tank is really easy to fill with the provided ink bottles. The bottles wont spill when refilling as they have a locking mechanism built in. Super easy! The printer attached to my wi-fi really easily. Quality printing in color and scanning as well. The one thing is its a bit loud, but Im still giving it 5 stars.

The Epson ET-2700 was easy to load with the supplied inks. The setup with the network was easy compared to the HP products we have. Just remember to load the drivers on you computer and then allowing the driver update before connecting the ET-2700. If you are using a network router, use the WEP connection button on the router because it is easier than using your network password. The print quality is good. The scanner works well but is a bit slower at the high definition than others and not having a sheet feeder for scans or copies would make using this machine time consuming if you require multiple scanning feeds. Also, the limited capacity of the paper feed tray does not lend the machine to large print jobs. This machine is a good value for a home situation or a two-person office.

Great idea for a tankless printer, good quality prints. Each of the 4 machines failed for various reasons, including roller issues, ink pad needing service (return to the factory), non-consumer repairable failures, each time a new machine was sent out and failed within 4 months. Customer support was of no help, albeit, they followed a simple script. They were quick in sending out the replacement printers. I find the printer was not well designed for ruggedness or consumer friendly maintenance. When this replacement comes my plan to to use it until it fails and buy another brand.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CARTRIDGE-LESS PRINTER ... I CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW EASY THIS IS TO USE AN ALSO REFILLING RIGHT IN THE TOP.. COMES WITH SPECIAL BOTTLES FOR REFILLING.. BUT YOU CN EASY REFILL THE BOTTLES WITH THE SCREW OFF LID WITH OTHER INKS OR LARGER BOTTLE / JUG PURCHASES.. THE MONEY YOU WILL SAVE JUST ON NOT HAVING TO BUY THE FIRST FEW REFILLS PRACTICALLY PAYS FOR THE ALL IN ONE PRINTER . THIS WAS VERY EASY TO HOOK UP.. GREAT COLOR AND PRINT QUALITY ! LOVE IT !

The printer kept cycling through a process where it had to prime the ink or something. I thought this only had to be done upon initial set up, but it did it every time I needed to use it...very time consuming. It also would not stay connected to my Network and I had to keep reinstalling the drivers. It may save ink but it wasted my time. I sent it back.

The ET-2700 appears to be a successor to the previous entry-level EcoTank printer, the ET-2600, which I have also been able to use and review. While the ET-2600 was a decent printer, it did suffer from nozzle-clogging issues after a while of being unused. The tanks on the previous model were also entirely different, taking a little more work to fill, and Epson seems to have given this line a complete overhaul in response to these issues. On the ET-2700 the tanks are on the front of the printer. While the ET-2600 had open tanks that were designed to have ink squirted or poured into them, the ET-2700 has little plastic connectors on the tanks, and the corresponding refill bottles have connectors that match up with those on the printer. When you click them together, the bottle will start emptying into the tank. This is a far less messy way to fill the tanks, but it does cut off any ability to use other sources of ink, such as the larger ink bags from Epson (which werent made for that task, but could be cut open and poured into the ET-2600s tank regardless). The plus side of all this is that beginners dont have anywhere near as much of a learning curve and people with unsteady hands wont need to worry about a massive ink spill with the ET-2700. It seems highly unlikely you could spill much (or any) ink with this design. The tank-in-front feature also has the benefit of showing you exactly how much ink is left in each tank. Unlike most modern printers, the ET-2700 has no screen or readout panel of any kind. It has six buttons. WiFi connectivity is performed with WPS-- Theres no entering of network names or passwords here-- and it seems mostly idiot-proof, though it did seem a tad slow when it came to connecting with my network. It was also strangely stubborn about connecting until I removed the Ethernet cable from my PC and switched to WiFi only, after which it (eventually) connected. The print quality is quite nice on the ET-2700, matching that of many upper mid-tier printers. Ive witnessed no banding in colors, nor have I seen any problems with text black-only printing, which is respectably speedy. As a household printer, it does the job quite well and may even be overkill for those who only print rarely. If you have a home office, this printer would be ideal to avoid spending more on ink down the road, though as with all EcoTank printers the initial investment is a bit deeper than anything else on the market. For that investment you get approximately two years without needing to pay for ink cartridges or toner, and when you do need to refill you can find sources of ink that are much less costly than any proprietary cartridge. However, it should be noted that this is a no-bells-and-whistles kind of printer. Theres no automatic two-sided printing, as in its big brothers. Theres no way to tweak any settings on the printer with the limited interface and few buttons. Theres also nothing in the way of extra ports or slots; You wont be scanning directly to SD cards or printing directly from USB flash drives with this printer. Everything has to come from the network or a wired connection. With all this in mind, Ill call this a four-star printer. Knowing whats out there in terms of features even on entry-level printers these days, Id say the ET-2700 is lacking a bit. Not much, but enough to notice. Once youve had a printer with those extra features, the ET-2700 seems like a step backwards. With its dumbed-down six-button panel and lack of memory slots for direct printing and scanning, it feels like a 1990s printer with 2017 ink technology strapped onto it. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, and it is an excellent printer/scanner that will definitely save you money on ink in the long haul, but in the here-and-now youll probably want to consider bumping up to an ET-2750 or higher to get those features like automatic two-sided printing, more in-depth controls and interface, and a memory card slot. Id consider the ET-2700 only if you REALLY cant handle paying the extra twenty bucks for the much-better ET-2750.

I like the inexpensive cost of ink on both printers. I miss the control panel panel on the ET- 2700. The ET-2550 has that feature and would pay extra to get that again. Have done much printing on both printers and paid for them in the savings on ink.

Ive been using the printer off and on now for about 8 months. Now it keeps jamming! Ill clear the jam, itll suck a paper and move it through the printer fine. Ill go and print my document and it jams again. Really regretting getting this printer, when the paper doesnt jam its always smeared with black ink at the top. Ugh! Guess Ill have to look into get some other printer for my sticker shop.

Do not even waste your money on this product. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. The printer worked for about a week and then had an out of box failure and did not turn on. Contacted the company and they sent a replacement. Second printer arrived and worked for 2 weeks and then had the same problem. Amazon was more than helpful to assist in the situation however epson was not. Do not buy this printer. I now have two giant plastic paper weights that do not work!
