This Brother Printer MFCL2720DW had a high rating from many reviews which helped me make this selection. I have not been disappointed. Out of the box and plugged it, it immediately saw my local WiFi, I entered the password and every Apple computer, iPad and iPhone in my home was able to print to it. Later I purchased an Android phone and Chromebook and the Brother process getting the printer on the Google Print service was convoluted and difficult to follow. Apparently the different varieties of Android OS and the different models of Brother printers required me to get a code from Brother, register it with Google Print, then connect the printer to my Chromebook. Even then, the wait time to print a page on the Chromebook was 10 times longer than it was on any of my Apple devices. If it would have been easier to set up and would print better from my Android devices, I would have given it five stars.

I have had this printer before and loved it. I bought this one because my other one was dropped I have had nothing but problems from the start, there were paper jams. After 5 weeks, one week past the return date, the sensor that detects paper in the tray is shot and it went pronto from a computer..but I can make copies??

This is the most amazing printer Ive purchased yet! Wireless printing, auto-feed scanning and copying, color scanning...love, love, love it! So easy to set up. Had a Mac and PC set up within 20 minutes.

The hinge mechanism on the right, is either broken or loose. I havent looked at it too closely but the lid flexes when lifted. Ive waited too long 2 return it, so Im stuck. During some of my scanning it appears there are streaks in the images. Ive not seen them on everything Ive scanned so maybe it was a burn in process. Dont know exactly what that would be, but Im trying to be fair. I bought this unit because of the tray feed mechanism on the top to replace an older brother MFC. There was nothing wrong with the older MFC accept the tray mechanism was a little flimsy. I like the flip open mechanism on the model 2720. When not in use you can close it and its protected from breaking. I also bought this unit because of the Wi-Fi. Set up was easy and I was printing within minutes. I can also print from my phone, which was another major reason for purchasing a newer MFC. I have printed from my phone that works great as well. Overall, the product is less quality than my older MFC model 840 as I recall. But thats also 10 years ago and nothing these days is made like they were in the past.

While this printer seems very similar to my previous Brother printer that I replaced because of a broken sheet feeder on the paper tray, and the Brother printer I purchased (at a much lower price) to replace this printer, the difficultly to install this was significantly different. After spending several hours trying to install on a Windows 8 computer, including trying the CD and downloading the driver, it finally worked. However, I was never able to get it installed on either of two computers with Windows 10 (again trying with both the CD and downloaded driver). I finally decided it wasnt worth any additional time and bought a different but very similar Brother all in one laser (MFC-L2710DW). This most recent purchase installed on the first try without a single problem.

This was for our home office. The first one we got was defective and the 2nd one Brother sent us was refurbished and only 2 of the 4 functions worked. Amazon was supportive and let us return it.

Ive had this multi-function device about a month and Im absolutely delighted with it. It was easy to set up with the included CD and I had it running in about 20 minutes. Its a huge improvement over my old printer and the replacement toner cartridges are not ridiculously priced like some others. At least the off-brand replacement cartridges are reasonably priced. I recently set up the wi-fi printing feature for a laptop I use in another part of the house. Both the printer and the laptop are logged in to the same wi-fi and it was as simple as adding a printer in the control panel area. I couldnt believe how easy it was. Excellent!!

I do a lot of book copying on the flatbed, and the book often accidentally hits the very sensitive touch screen which changes the number of copies. I have to listen carefully for the beeping to make sure I dont end up with 33 or 99 copies! I have to lift the book up to change the copy number and readjust the book. Not a deal breaker just annoying. This could be corrected by putting the touch screen on the right side of the machine rather than in the middle. Its also a little slower and louder than my old machine. And this might seem like a small detail, but the pages dont come out of the machine very far so its hard to see them, and I have to reach in to get the pages out after copying. Other than that, it does what its supposed to do. The wireless function was easy to setup and works great with my iPod Touch and our HP printer in my husbands office. Scanning also works well. We havent tried out the fax function yet. Still, I really miss my Brother MFC-7820N! It was a real workhorse for 10 years. I would recommend researching a Brother higher-end model.

Once up and running very nice and fast high quality printer. My only issue was the difficulty getting it hooked up to two different computers behind a firewall - one with USB one over wireless. The wireless took several attempts and a full uninstall/reinstall to finally work. One computer wires I would definitely give 5 stars. The support pages online did eventually resolve my problem, but it took 1.5 hrs.

Buying a new inkjet printer every few years was frustrsting. After reading many reviews, I selected this Brother. PROS: works well as a home printer, no issues with Wireless function or printing from multiple devices CONS: Initial setup was not as easy as other reviewers said and I sometimes miss the color function. I am a 69 year old female with no tech skills with hardware.
