ViewSonic VP2468_H2 PRO 24" Dual Pack Head-Only 1080p Monitors with 100% sRGB Rec709 14-bit 3D LUT for Photography and Graphic Design
There are not a lot of 32" 4k IPS monitor options out there. I wanted the best color reproduction I could get out of the box. The first thing I did when turning the monitor on was jump into sRGB mode. The results were disappointing with low contrast and brightness adjustment locked. I went in search of reviews describing how to configure the monitor, but there are few out there. Then I had the idea to search for reviews of the 27" version of this monitor, which led me to this insight: Uniformity is on by default in sRGB and leaving it on drops your contrast in half and disable brightness adjustment! So I went ahead a tried it and it works! Color and contrast have come back to life and the panel still appears to be uniform.

I saw that another purchaser had the issue with one of the screens having a yellowish tint. I have color calibrated both monitors with a Spyder 4 Pro. You cannot fix the tint issue by color profiling or adjusting settings. It has to do with the LEDs that were used. Subpar in my opinion as whiter LEDs are more expensive to manufacture. The Good: -They are light weight and have USB hubs built in. -Come with ample connection ports for all types of cable and cables for daisy changing. No HDMI cables though. -They are thin, clear and crisp. -Practically borderless edges giving you almost seamless side by side viewing. The Bad: -Not uniform in color even when calibrated from the factory and a 3rd party color meter. -Menu/control buttons are hidden on the back with an onscreen display selector (horrible design). If you have to adjust a screen when mounted side by side as my image shows, its not easy to access or toggle. -Some vignetting around the edges. -Build quality seems to be cheap with very flimsy bezels around the edges that seem to be taped on. Not very secure. -USB hubs are on bottom (my Asus ProArt 24 is on the side). Easier to access, but wouldnt work in a side by side configuration. Overall I guess these arent bad monitors for what they are and price, but the yellowish tint is pretty much a deal breaker for me. In fact I ordered another set to compare them. When I hooked them up they had brighter (whiter) LEDs but they were just as far off from each other. The spec sheets showed factors that werent further apart. In fact one of them had a dead pixel (no good for me). Plus with the serial #s being on the monitor and boxes, theres no way to just switch out one for the other. You have to do the set. I just decided to keep these and deal with the yellow as much as it pains me. I use the whiter one for proofing and try not to have the same color screen up, because I can definitely tell one is warmer.

This is a great monitor. Im a professional photographer and I needed another monitor since I has having serious troubles color matching on my old one. Since I shoot a lot of models, and since most of the models and photographic professionals are on Instagram, I really wanted what was on the screen to match what the models would see on their phones. I know, right? The times we live in.... Anyway, I took the monitor out, plugged it into my MacBook Pro, edited a photo, and uploaded it to my phone. Without any callibration, the photos matched perfectly. All of the extra USB slots in the back and the ability to daisy chain monitors is also great. Thanks ViewSonic!

Great monitors for the money! As a graphic artist who has to match Pantone colors all day long (Im in the sign industry), its very close to color-correct calibration right out of the box, as verified with my Eye One Pro colorimeter. Just one issue though, who in the world thought it would be a good idea to put the power button on the back end of the monitor??? I use two monitors against a wall and have to do some contortionists moves to get my hand under the monitor to get to the power button! This may not be an issue for those who turn their machines off when they are done for the day, but I leave my machine on when printing large jobs to my Roland vinyl printer (which can take a couple hours to finish), and having the monitors on when I leave for the day while the printer prints a job is just a waste of electricicy, and more importantly, just puts more stress on the monitors sitting in a warm office while the screen saver runs pointlessly! I took one star off for that button, otherwise, its a great, precise monitor! I would have taken another star off too for the onscreen setting menu, as those buttons are also on the back and a pain to remember which of the five buttons does what function, but after a dozen other monitors in the last 2 decades of being a graphic artist, Ive never found one to be much easier to use, so ViewSonic gets a pass for that.

I could not be happier. I have two of these hooked to a 2015 Macbook Pro 15" via the Thunderbolt ports. Work perfectly. The large size and SUPER SHARP image quality is impressive. I could not be happier with these ecept it would be nice to have a lightning hub built into them and there seems to be some issues with things like wireless mice plugged into the USB hub built in. Many other USB items work fine.

Beautiful monitor, vivid accurate colors, great size, excellent off angle viewing, stable and flexible stand. Best 4k monitor I have gotten to use thus far, great for photo and video editing along with photo and video consumption, everything looks great. Havent been able to identify a single dead or stuck pixel which is also definitely a plus. There are cheaper 4k monitors out there but theyre just not this good, well worth the price.

Im a heavy computer user, being an IT guy. I have high expectations for quality surrounding peripherals and Viewsonic has not let me down. This monitor is a matte display with VERY accurate and vibrant colors. I dont game at all, so I cant speak to that, but video and text are fantastic. I keep this one in my office at home which is pretty dimly lit, and I turned the brightness down to about 55% and its perfect without eyestrain. The menu is a little annoying with the buttons being on the back of the monitor, but the aesthetic of a this bezel and no buttons or lights is a good trade-off. Setup was a little iffy with the signed driver not working well on Win10, but the unsigned version worked okay. The auto rotate is a neat feature and it works as expected, though I dont think Ill use it much. I use the audio out on the monitor to run to my Sony speakers, that way I leave less cables running from my laptop (just USB-C hub!).

Neither of the two cables supplied worked with either of my computers, even though both had connections that match at least one of the cables. I have NO idea why. Fortunately, the reviews here gave me hope, since others had similar experiences that turned out OK. I dug out an HDMI cable I wasnt using anymore, and that worked just fine. So be sure you have one before buying this, and dont expect any help from the print docs or DVD it comes with, the ViewSonic website, or its customer support if you need it. The drivers I downloaded didnt install properly either, but it turned out I didnt need them. Honestly I dont know why they bothered with the print stuff at all. It was useless. Even the drawings didnt make sense. I guess instructions are a lost art.

Based on extensive web research, I purchased this monitor for photo/video editing work. Right out of the box, I was amazed by this monitor. The construction is very solid and the picture is fantastic. The color, contrast and clarity of this monitor are stellar, easily making this the best monitor I have ever used... all with factory settings. The ability to rotate the monitor to portrait orientation will be very handy from time to time.

There was a time when Viewsonic was synonymous with quality, but that may no longer be the case. I recently purchased two of these monitors and both displayed the same issues: image "warping" along the edges, visible scan lines, a ghosted "border" band around the edge and light bleed along the bottom. Im not sure how to describe the "warping." It occurs on both the left and right sides where the screen meets the bezel. If youre staring at the screen and then move (not just turn) your head, horizontally left or right, youll see the edge of the display appear to curve and then the distortion along the edge becomes very noticeable. Another way to describe it would be how Apple attempt to give the screens on their phones a sense of depth/distance. Starting with the iPhone 5, if you tilt the phone, the background will move slightly to give the appearance of dimension and depth. The effect on the Viewsonic is somewhat similar but its actually disorienting (for me, at least) and it results in distorted images as the far edges of the screen. The scan lines are just that - horizontal lines that, while small, still give the screen a "screen door" and/or night vision goggle effect. Admittedly, I was 8 to 10 inches away from the screen when I was analyzing it, but my eyesight isnt the best and I could still the lines. As a photographer and designer, I need my monitors to be as uniform and "smooth" as possible. Instead, these monitors display images that appear jagged. (Now, its possible this is due to my video card, so Ill be testing the monitors again to see if that changes anything.) Setting my desktops background to black revealed that one of the monitors had a "ghosted border" along the left, top and bottom of the screen. Its faint, but visible. Im assuming its some component of the monitor that the screen is either resting again (the plastic frame/internals) or perhaps its something thats adhered to the back of the screen. This was also when I noticed the light bleed ("flashlighting") along the bottom. One monitor had significant bleed on the right side along the bottom edge. The other monitor exhibited light bleed along the entire bottom edge, in a pattern very similar to older, LCD laptop monitors from the early 2000s - a section of perfect screen, then bleed, a section of perfect screen, and then bleed, repeated several times. Maybe these are minor quibbles and Im being overly nitpicky, but personally, if Im going to spend this much on a monitor, I want it to be perfect. The two I received are far from that. Again, some of the issues might be hardware related and I plan on reviewing the monitors again with a new graphics card. That said, a vast majority of issues appear to be related to quality control than hardware. Amazon has been gracious enough to replace the original monitors and Ill test the new ones when they arrive and update my review accordingly. If anyone has any questions or recommendations on how I might be able to improve my experience, please let me know. UPDATE: Received one of the new replacement monitors. Same as before - image "warping" along the left and right edge of the screen, visible horizontal lines that result in jagged images/text, a "ghosted" border effect and light bleed. The horizontal lines are only noticeable when lighter content is shown. On darker content theyre almost invisible. I also noticed that theyre less visible towards the bottom of the screen than the top. Again, for someone who plans on staring at the monitor for hours at a time, I know this will become annoying and serve as a distraction. On a positive note, the light bleed was considerably less than the previous two monitors, but it was still there. I plan on returning the replacement monitors too.
