Its a great monitor. Image quality is stellar. Also, and quite surprisingly, the speakers are good; theyre louder and clearer than my laptops speakers which is a great added bonus. Of course, the gist is that this is 27" monitor, with an IPS screen (good viewing from all angles), two video inputs (HDMI and VGA), 3.5mm audio in and 3.5mm audio out, and two speakers. Things I like: Two audio inputs. If youre using the HDMI video input, you you can choose the audio source (audio-over-HDMI or the 3.5mm jack). This is nice and flexible. Note though that if youre using VGA, its only the 3.5mm jack. You can switch between video inputs with one button click. Good. You can add powerful external speakers if needed (suing the 3.5mm audio out). You can mount it with a VESA mount (100X100). The screen controls are usable and good.

Keep in mind that this review is being written by a guy whos got some vision challenges. Its a MIRACLE!!! I can SEE!!! This monitor is a good solution for poor/failing eyesight. Of course, not a permanent one, but a good one, nonetheless. Bright monitor with a reasonably high resolution that makes reading without a magnifying glass possible (17 inch laptop just wasnt up to it) even in standard definition and contrast mode. I have put the accessibility options back in the box and am back to normal productivity: no more magnifying glass! Lightweight and tilt make adjustability a snap. Height is easily and safely adjusted with a medium sized book under the stand. This monitor also has four attachment points on the back for using a swing arm mount should you choose to do so. Hook up to the ViewSonic site to download driver updates (if theyre needed) and follow the prompts. Adjust your graphics card driver to the full resolution of the monitor. BAM! Done. Im now able to read text and numbers with relative ease. I cant tell if things are fuzzy or clear, but the color and contrast impressions Im getting are better than Im used to. I think that for price/performance, you have to give this monitor five stars. Also for design and ease of use. The only weakness would have to be the speakers, but since I use external speakers their tinny-ness does nothing to detract, and they would be useful to an office user for the audible prompt they are capable of providing. 90 day edit: Nothing to add except that I has performed flawlessly while standing up to 10 hours per day use.that includes editing/typing, streaming video, and an occasional hour or two with Fallout Four or Laura Croft, etc. I still highly recommend.

For my pretty basic needs, this is a really nice monitor at the right price point. I was still using an old 20" HP monitor that dated back to approx 2010, so anything was probably going to be a step up. Not sure if I got a dud, but the stand was really bad. Easy to assemble, but the bottom left side of the monitor sagged and, no matter what I tried, it wasnt level. This was would have, over time, driven me insane. In the long run, I probably would have bought a better mount, but this accelerated it, so my total cost was the cost of the monitor plus $35.

I was a little concerned about the capabilities of this monitor compared to others I have owned in the past. I wanted something large enough for me to see without having to alter the resolution settings of my PC to see some of the sites that you visit frequently. I do suffer from vision and mobility problems so the clarity and print size were a necessity for my use. I was surprised at the clarity and brightness of the screen from the first moment I turned it on. The price-performance of this monitor exceeds my expectations. I was a little concerned about the low price actually delivering a monitor that was this good. In my case, I didnt have to do anything to adjust the monitor or the settings to get what I needed. Im not a PC novice and after reading some of the reviews I thought I might have to do some tweaking. That was not the case because it worked extremely good right out of the box.. In my case, I couldnt ask for anything more.

I wanted to love this monitor--but its killing my eyes & I struggle to read the grayscale--not black--text. The screen is very bright, which you wouldnt think is a problem, but it is. I called the company & a ttech instructed me on how to change the settings. He said that once the brightness was reduced, the text should be fine. Not so. I was able to reduce the brightness, but it still hurts my eyes. Reducing it further makes the screen look muddy, so not an improvement. And, the text is still not black. On apps that have some things written in grey, the text almost disappears. I tried to see if I could adjust to it, but no, I cant. And thats too bad because the monitor does have some good points. The size (28") is perfect for me and the color is amazing. Really, the best Ive seen. Unfortunately, I didnt get this monitor to look at photos--I got it t, primarily, to read text. Heres the thing, if you have great eyes--which I do not--the less than black, not quite sharp, text may not bother you at all. And maybe the odd brightness wont make your eyes sore like it does mine. For me, its a not go. Fortunately, Amazon is allowing me to return it.

Fantastic image quality, VESA compatible and the sound quality from the 3.5mm jack is great. Many of the other reviews have already commented on the great picture quality of the display and the VESA support. I feel like the audio output of the monitor hasnt been mentioned much. The onboard audio for my motherboard has a noticeable static to it, especially when moving my mouse. I tried my LG 4ks monitor audio output and it also had some static and limited to 48khz. This monitors audio output from the 3.5mm jack has 0 static and does 24 bit and 192khz. Thats really impressive from something I doubt many people plan on using. The audio quality is better than any other monitor Ive used.

Good monitors. Right out of the box, the picture was good. I had to adjust a couple things for it to produce colors the way I like (I like more vivid.) Text shows up nice and clear, HD videos are brilliant. Attached are some pictures, one of them to show the bezels side by side for multi-monitor setup.

With this large of a monitor, I can see individual pixels, which actually does make words look a little fuzzy sometimes. I do sit close to it, so a 2K monitor would have been a better choice. Overall, when they work, its a pretty decent monitor. I also had a vertical zig zag line appear within 4 months. With the 3 year warranty, I thought I could get this resolved quickly, but no. I would need to package and ship the monitor to them at MY COST to their LONE warranty center, and they are also not responsible for any shipping damage. Who knows how long I would be without a monitor as well? So good luck if you ever need warranty!

I work in live music production and this monitor is really hard to beat for the price. Its survived thousands of miles inside a pelican case and fires up every day without issue. Im using an arm and not the included base so I cant comment on it. That said this thing gets quite a few comments from the peanut gallery at every show and the overall picture quality is great. My monitor in the studio costs twice as much, slightly larger at 34" but I dont miss it. Its really tough to beat this one for the price..

I am really surprised by what a difference this monitor makes with my older Dell EPS desktop unit. I used the HDMI output from the Dell into this monitor. It is much sharper and somewhat brighter that the Dell 17" that I had before - and now use as monitor #2. And that is after adjusting the brightness / contrast / etc on the new monitor. I do not do games, so I cant comment on that - but for internet surfing, excel / word and other apps, it works like a charm. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is that the unit did not come with any user manual and the video adjustment buttons are on the bottom of the screen section and poorly marked. Once you get them set, though, you will probably never touch them again, so this is more of an inconvenience than a problem. For the price, hard to beat.
