Since the space allocated for my computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers is not exceedingly large, I purchased this monitor to save a little desk real estate since the integrated speakers were a big plus. However, after unpacking, assembling, and connecting the monitor to my computer, it quickly became very evident that the visual capabilities of this monitor fell far short of the 23" Samsung Model S23C57OH which I was replacing. The image was not nearly as sharp and crisp and the colors were not as well delineated or saturated. Bright areas were washed out but Im sure that could have been remedied if I could have printed the User Guide. The CD accompanying the product did not have an autorun wizard that stepped the user through registration and basic initial adjustment (brightness, contrast, etc.) preferences that are unique to many users. I looked for the appropriate files on the CD using Windows Explorer but did not find anything that would print the Users Guide. When I tried calling the ViewSonic 24-hour support line there was no answer. I finally reinstalled my Samsung and ordered some inexpensive Logitech speakers.

The LED back-light is everything it is advertised to be. Much brighter than the fluorescent back-light Ive had in the past. I had to adjust the brightness to about 50% to reduce the glare. This monitor is only 2" larger than my previous monitor so I hardly notice the size difference. Across a 36" desk it is perfect. A far cry from the 17" I used temporarily. Im not a video expert so I cant critique the display in technical terms, but to me the picture is extremely good - more than clear enough for surfing the web and watching video clips. To me it looks evenly lit with correct coloring and very, very little lack of sharpness. I can safely recommend this monitor for the vast majority of users. You wont be disappointed

Let me start by saying Im not a computer expert, just a middle-aged mom who likes to play computer games and surf the net. So I wasnt looking for anything spectacular nor would I recognize anything spectacular. I dont know what all the jargon means in the description (VA2446M, LCD, etc) I was just looking for a decent priced monitor from a brand I know and trust. I had a View Sonic monitor before and it served me and my flash games well, so I primarily looked through what they had and this one fit the bill. All that said, this is a really beautiful monitor, especially for the price. I just have a few complaints. First, it sits really low and there is no way (that Ive figured out) to tilt it upwards or adjust the position, so I had to put it on a jewelry box to avoid getting a crick in my neck. Now, I would really like to be able to use my jewelry box again so this aggravated me a little. It goes without saying that the speakers are kind of "tinny". But I really didnt expect much and Im not the type of person who needs my walls to shake from bass, so this is perfectly fine. The reason I wanted to get a monitor with speakers was to save a USB slot so I could plug in my printer, so Im happy about that and dont really mind the sound all that much- it does the job. It was super easy to set up so -you plug it in, it works (my favorite kind) so dont worry about having to call your cousins friend who is a computer guru to come by to help you set it up. The bottom line is I would buy this monitor again and if they could fix the height/tilt issues (it looks dumb sitting on a jewelry box) it would be the perfect monitor, and you cant beat the price.

Nice big screen, but purchased specifically for the built in speakers. Bought for a gift for my mother who loves having the built speakers for less clutter on her desk. She does dictation and the speakers were very quiet and low quality. We ended up returning this and using her old monitor from 2006!! Her old monitor was 4x as loud. Even on the loudest setting this ViewSonic was barely audable. Was disappointed with purchase and that I had to lose money to return it. If you dont listen to music, videos etc and just need barely there speakers then it will work. If you need the speakers for work etc., then it is not worth it. Too bad that not many monitors come with built in speakers as they do elimate the clutter from needing seperate speakers.

I have bought Sony and Samsung monitors. I found their color and resolution excellent. I spent a lot of time researching this purchase. I trusted the large group of 5 star reviewers that Viewsonics’ quality is equal to those brands. After using the monitor I agree the screen is superb. It certainly equals the Samsung monitors I have been using on various computers. I originally intended to buy a Samsung monitor until they reduced their warranty to one year. That pushed me to investigating Viewsonic who I have been aware of for years and know a lot of satisfied friends with their products. With so many manufacturers now pushing for consumers to replace their products within 3 years, I did not want to needlessly waste my money. The 3 year warranty gives me peace of mind that I will get my money’s worth out of this unit and hopefully without needing to return it for repair. I don’t see the reason for the complaints about the buttons under the screen to change the settings. The icons along the bottom front show you where to push.

This is a review of the "ViewSonic VA2446M-LED 24-Inch LED-Lit LCD Monitor, Full HD 1080p, DVI/VGA, Speakers, VESA." I find that I have to identify the product Im reviewing because sometimes my reviews for one item are compiled with other reviews for multiple items in a related product line. ViewSonic makes great monitors. The colors are bright and the text is crisp. Setup is simple and it is a VESA mount so if you want to attach it to the wall or a multi-mount, the VESA bolt holes are there. It is plug and play so there is no need for additional drivers. This 24-inch monitor (VA2446M) was a very good purchase. Overall, we really like it and use it daily.

I purchased this monitor 3 weeks ago and so far, I am very happy with the monitor. It looks really nice (with a glossy finish) and the screen images are very clear and concise. It comes with speakers but I use my own dedicated speaker system so I cant comment on the functionality of the speakers. However, it iwas very easy to setup and Windows recognized it right away and installed the appropriate software driver. I gave this monitor 4 stars only because I need to see how long it will last. My last monitor (another brand) didnt even last 1 year but I expect this Viewsonic Monitor to last for years and I will give it 5 stars if it lasts. Bottom Line - it is a great monitor for the price ($130 - $150).

I bought 2 of these monitors for work. They have all the features I was looking for, the picture and overall quality is great, and the price is very fair. HOWEVER, one of the big reasons I bought them was because they have integrated speakers. I didnt see anything in the reviews about speaker problems so I want to warn you- if you have a soundbar or desktop speakers, these are not the equivalent. I listen to webinars and podcasts all day long, and most of them are not loud enough to be audible through these speakers. I have the video/itunes volume and the speaker volume on max in a quiet office and cant use them for this purpose. The speakers are only good for Windows system sounds (bells and alerts), not really for audio. So now I need to pick up a pair of desktop speakers...

Just arrived yesterday and so far it is great for the price point. The stand issue is dramatic though. You would think the engineers would set it up on a desk and realize you have to shim it 3/4" or more in front because it leans so far forward. Why did they not adjust it coming out of the shoot? You can try and take the stand holder apart and loosen the locking nuts.....if you have the exact angled wrench and patience.....remember that locking head is set in plastic so be careful. It wasnt worth the effort and risk so I shimmed it like most of the other reviewers did. All in all it seems like a great monitor with easy set up if you dont mind having jury-rig a brand new piece of equipment.

I come from a time when you had to spend over $1,000 for a 17" CRT ViewSonic that weighed several thousand pounds and hummed like a nuclear power plant. AND WE THOUGHT THEY WERE AWESOME. It blows my mind that you can get a monitor of this quality for less than $150. I measure the screen at just a hair under 23.5" which gives Marketing just enough room to call it a 24". ViewSonic was always considered high end, and even though this model doesnt have quite the resolution of a more expensive LED/LCD, its more than sharp enough for my aging eyes at the max 1920x1080 and is driven quite sufficiently by a Dell Latitude laptop with a cheeseball onboard Intel display adapter. Need a big monitor and dont have much cash? Buy this one.
Make sure this fitsby entering your model number.
