I rcently purchased one for my Mac laptop and another for my PC laptop. They both perform very well and give my a much better image than the laptop screens. Bright screens, good color and resolution. I now have a total of 4 ViewSonic monitors and have been very pleased with the results. Hard to beat the quality for the cost of the monitor.

I love this monitor!!! Great picture and size for the price. It been used for a few months now and it still looks great. Im not sure if the specs are comparable to other monitors but I cannot see any difference at ALL. I am usually a scrooge on price alone unless it comes to picture quality which I tend to spend more on getting a nice name brand TV or laptop to get a good display. I bought this one for my kids to use so I went with cheaper but I find myself using it pretty often.

Great monitor for the price. I recall the ViewSonic brand from the old days when an office I worked in had rather dull monitors. However, one of the researchers had a big ViewSonic and I recall being enamored by his lovely monitor. The matte finish reduces glare, color is great. Perfect for my husband whose monitor didnt have built-in speakers. This monitor does includes speakers.

The item arrived on time and in good shape. It does what I need it to do. The stand is a little flimsy, But what can you expect for $99. The only problem I had was that it went on sale for $79 the day after I bought it and I could not cancel the order.. A good monitor for the price.

If these are still available grab one. I have 3 that I use every day for work. Never a problem.

Very reasonably priced, nice quality. Mechanically these could be a bit more rugged, but Id rather spend my dollars on quality video than heavier plastic. I bought two, and both came up quickly and with no issues, and after several months Im still very happy. Skip the extended warranty, though, as it overlaps with the manufacturers warranty. And for this price, if one dies after the three-year warranty expires, I wont be too disappointed.

I ordered two monitors. One is great! The other one is a "lemon," apparently. Looked fine when the IT guy set it up. He left and within half an hour, it became bright pink, then later switched back to looking fine, then changed again to that bright pink color every few minutes or so. Very annoying and very hard to read anything with that bright pink shade coloring everything on the screen. Our IT tech at first thought it was a bad video card in my computer. He switched the video card for a new one and went away thinking he fixed it because the screen again looked good when he left my office. Within a short time, the screen turned bright pink again. I would send it back and ask for a replacement but I already recycled the boxes they came in never dreaming this would happen so it would be too much of a pain to try to send it back. So just warning others to be sure and check your monitors and not just trust that if they are new, they will be good.

Very much like the 1080p picture and low profile height of the display as this is being used on a camera stand. Using this with a video camera that outputs a 1080P signal. For reasons that neither Viewsonic nor Cannon can explain, the interaction between this monitor and the Canon HF G10 pulls the HDMI resolution output of the camera way down. Had to purchase an Altona HDMI isolation box to keep the camera and display both working at 1080P. Slightly annoyed with both Cannon and Viewsonic for both pointing the finger at the other company and having no concrete suggestions as to why might be causing. Fortunately, the Altona isolation box fixed the issue. Briefly tried this with a MacBook pro and it worked great.

Have had this monitor 2 months. No dead pixels on arrival. The stand seems a little flimsy, but this LCD is so light that the stand seems adequate to keep it from falling over. Has some tilt up/down adjustment that would work for normal desk purposes, it is not as adjustable as some of the more expensive LCDs. Has 100mmx100mm VESA mounts as well as a desktop stand. The picture quality is excellent and the brightness is excellent compared to other brands of LCDs I have used in this price point. This LCD is sitting by a bright window, and it is bright enough that it is not washed out and can be viewed easily. The placement and labels on the buttons to control on/off, contrast, etc cant be viewed easily, they blend right in to the black plastic frame. I dont use the buttons that often, but I too as another reviewer listed have to get a flashlight to shine on the frame or just randomly feel around for the buttons on the front of the frame until I hit the correct one to adjust any settings. Knocked off 1 star for that, have never had that problem with other Viewsonic monitors. Of course, the buttons being "hidden" could be a positive if you dont want your kid, cats, etc pushing buttons and messing your monitor settings up! Has VGA and DVI connections. Has a 3 yr warranty, and I did previously have a Viewsonic 40" LCD go dead under warranty; and after the non-USA Viewsonic tech support people finally got to the email support ticket I submitted, they shipped a working LCD back to me that is still working 18 months after the replacement. The process took about 2 weeks, but at least they did honor the warranty and it wasnt too painful to get them to cover the warranty, I provided some details, tried some troubleshooting they suggested, provided a PDF of my purchase receipt, packaged the lcd very well and shipped it. I dont recall if they picked up the shipping or not, but I think they provided me a return shipping label at their expense. The speakers are adequate for general music or business purposes and put out some decent volume of sound. I have purchased probably 50 Viewsonics over the last 10 years, and only sent 1 in for warranty repair, and have always been happy with the quality of the picture on the ViewSonics. And they seem to last, so those are the two most important factors for me, and Viewsonic delivers!

My 9 year old monitor broke so I had to buy this one last min. Great price / bang for your buck and so far so good on the function front. Just literally needed it as a good affordable solution for an older computer I have and it works great! I do Solidworks CAD work on it along with all the other Adobe programs out there so the image quality is good enough for a heavy experienced user of graphics programs.
