I saved a lot of money with this great refurbished computer monitor. Normally, its very hard to find a high quality monitor without paying well over a $100. I only paid $66 including shipping. My monitor doesnt have blemishes or scratches. In fact,e I could not find any defects.. I love the 22 inch screen with its vivid color and resolution. Thus, save some money and buy a refurbished ViewSonic monitor.

At first I thought that this was a bad product, BUT it was due to operator error. Once all the correct picture settings are adjusted it has a great picture and is just the right size.

My dad had a 20" ViewSonic that bit the dust after ten years. At 91, he was able to replace the original with this one just by disconnecting the old monitor and connecting the new one to the same cables. Hes happy with the quality of the display as its as good or better than what he had.

Pic quality is what I expected, works fine for my purpose but the stand is not vertically adjustable and it sits too close to the base. The Dvi cable does not have room to be plugged into the monitor without stress being added to the monitor connection. Otherwise this monitor is no different from many others where inputs are very inconveniently placed as to be either too close together making it a challenge for anyone who does not have the hands of a small child to plug and/or unplug the various cables, or too low - due to low seated base - thus not allowing enough clearance for a heavier cable like a hdmi to trail down from the connection point on the monitor and bend outward towards wherever you need it to go to plug into an electrical outlet which as i already stated causes additional stress on the monitors input connector. Ive had pretty good luck with ViewSonic monitors but growing ever more dissatisfied with the ergonomics of these and other models.

For the price I didnt expect much. The black levels are decent in a well lite room. The details were nice and crisp. The only thing is the bleeding light from the lower bottom edges if youre viewing in total darkness. You can change that up through the setting with its provided software (via Windows OS).

Using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti in a Windows 7 box and the best DVI-D cables we could find anywhere for these twin monitors, both monitors ghost horribly to the point of being unusable. The Dell monitors they replaced were far superior in image quality. Weve tried every Nvidia setting and have re-run the ClearType tool dozens of times where every option in that tool is an unacceptable choice. We contacted ViewSonic tech support and were told that we have to use the VGA (analog?) connector to be able to adjust the sharpness setting, which is evidently set way too high. A photo of one of the monitors is posted. We now have to buy DVI-to-VGA converters and try to adjust settings under analog. If this doesnt work were returning them.

I originally ordered (8) of these monitors. The size and price were right and at the time (4 months ago) they fit the bill. Within the first month, one of them died, after 3 months a second died, 2 days ago, a third died. With the first monitor, I contacted Viewsonic and they replaced it, I havent contacted them yet about the other two but will soon. BUYER BEWARE, this model or batch that was produced at the time that the (8) were produced that I bought are LEMONS! At least the Viewsonic warranty worked for the first one, hopefully itll work for the the next two as well. 3 out of 8 is not a sign of good product reliability, so be cautious when buying this model. I hope the remaining 5 last longer, but so far Im not expecting them to do so.

I wanted a cheap DVI/VGA monitor with speakers to connect to a laptop docking station. I didnt want to listen to music or watch movies - just an occasional how-to video with someone speaking and similar stuff where sound quality isnt important. I didnt want a pair of external speakers taking up desk space. For image quality, I think this $75 monitor is very good for the price. For sound quality, its OK for me but would not be for watching movies or listening to music - but I have other devices for those things. My previous version of this monitor lasted from 2006 thru 2018 and still sort of works. So I decided to give ViewSonic another try. Its only been a few days but all is well. I downloaded drivers for Win7 32 bit from the ViewSonic web site and they installed without problem. So for my purpose (speadsheet, occasional Gimp photo editing, etc) this monitor works well. The drawback: its stand holds the monitor in a low position and is not adjustable - mine is currently on a 3" thick book. It also slants forward a little - I have it propped up with a little wedge. I think an adjustable stand monitor would be a little better but I dont use the attached computer much and traded convenience for price. There is a VESA mount capability so it could go on an adjustible VESA stand if I wanted to invest a few more dollars.

Viewsonic, is, in my opinion, one of the best monitor makers. This monitor is great - fairly small, has cord-minders in the back and all the right adapter ports. The only negative (for me), is that it is fairly lightweight, as monitors go. Easy to move around, but sometimes I bump into it and knock it over. Undisturbed it is fine. Only adjusts forward and back - no bells and whistles here... but for the price, it is a great monitor.
