I bought this monitor months ago, and returned it. It took a whole month to get my money back! First defect: The freesync never worked. I turned on freesync in the Radeon settings and in the monitor settings. I still saw two horizontal tears simultaneously!!! This happened in every game. Second defect: While moving about in a game, a grid could be seen. This was actually the worst defect. This happened in every game. The third issue is not a defect, it is inherent to all 27" 1080p monitors. You will be able to see the pixels easily in any 27" monitor at 1080p. Larger screens need higher resolutions to look good. I read other negative reviews after buying the monitor, my mistake. Viewsonic used to be a reputable brand, about 20 years ago! I used to have a Viewsonic CRT. Every company changes after 20 years. This one for the worse. Im still using my old monitor, which is fine for now. It doesnt have freesync, but I didnt pay for that. When I get around to picking a new monitor, it will be one that is praised on some discussion forum. I recommend you do the same.

Phenomenal picture and tuned for gaming, what more could you ask for? Ive only had it a week, so Ill update this review as needed, but right now Id very much recommend it.

Amazing monitor, everything is running silky smooth. Worth the price. Edit: Working perfectly with Nvidia Gsync adaptive sync patch 1/15/19.

Just bought this monitor to replace a 7 year old Dell (60Hz, slow response time, etc.). I cannot overstate how much better this monitor is compared to older technology. Even scrolling through a website, the higher refresh rate made a difference. Gaming (CS:Go & Apex so far) is ridiculously smooth, and the free sync works great. This is a perfect "budget" entry into gaming monitors, especially if you are coming from older generation panels.

The quality is great and the 144Hz aspect is amazing. I am much better at FPS and I will struggle to go back playing siegw on PS4 with friends!

my video card is really only good for 1080p so when this went on sale it was a no-brainer to pick it up. great quality.
