Arrived in perfect condition with no dead or stuck pixels. Native settings are decent if a bit overly yellow, but Ive managed to squeeze a shocking degree of color accuracy out of it after a few days of occasional picture adjustment. However, make no mistake - as with any TN panel, youre still going to be sacrificing a bit of color accuracy in exchange for a fast refresh rate and quick response time. Stand is metal which is appreciated and the panel itself is made of sturdy high-density plastic with what might be a PVC coating to reduce glossyness on the bezel. High quality, unreflective matte screen lacking in any obvious mattiness. However, a possible sticking point: This thing is BRIGHT and finding the perfect light balance for my dark room has been difficult. Ill eventually get it to a perfect level, but prospective buyers in dark areas ought to consider this. One final note: My scores in CoD and Overwatch have gone up since maxing this things refresh rate and response time. Turns out I never sucked - my old monitor did. Edit: Ive only just realized that the stand isnt metal. Its actually dense plastic with a burnished, metal-like finish. Still heavy enough to stabilize the monitor completely in my setup, so score remains unchanged.

Picked this monitor because I use a laptop (Acer Predator Helios 300) which only has an hdmi out on it. Most monitors only support 144hz through dvi so that was an issue for me. After a lot of research this was the most affordable monitor that supports both 144hz AND Freesync over hdmi (The older XG2401 dosent support freesync over hdmi). Works flawlessly, Colors are decent especially for the price and the stand is amazing and very adjustable. Perfect budget gaming monitor. Highly recommend especially if you might be in an oddball situation like myself.

Very solid build. Look great. No issues. I think the menus could be more intuitive. Would like a shortcut or direct button to change input and adjust the volume. Looked at a competitor which I almost bought but had an epiphany that the buttons on the other monitor was on the sides. Using a dual monitor side x side setup that would not work as they would be blocked. Not an issue with these having the buttons on the bottom.

Im really pleased with this monitor. The build quality is great, it doesnt feel like a flimsy piece of junk. The stand is solid and I love that it is adjustable up/down. The image quality is really good. The viewing angles on this panel are better than I expected. Your buddy wont have a problem watching you game on this. Be aware that Freesync is not enabled by default. It has to be turned on from the monitors onscreen menus and then it needs to be enabled on the graphics card. Im using a Sapphire Radion Nitro+ RX580 graphics card with this monitor and it works great!

I just bought a new gaming PC and was looking for a decent but reasonably priced monitor. The performance of this monitor exceeded my expectations. I could tell a big difference once I turned on AMD FreeSync and took full advantage of my AMD graphics card. I haven’t adjusted any of the screen settings yet, but I think there’s 3 custom settings that can be toggled easily I may setup later. The internal speakers are not the highest quality sound, but for basic use they’re ok. When gaming I use a headset and I don’t watch movies on my desktop, so they suit me just fine. Overall I’m very pleased with this monitor. The red accents give it a slight gaming feel, and complements my new PC very nicely.

This monitor developed a dead pixel less than a week after it arrived. If there was no dead pixel in the center of the screen, it would be a decent entry level 144 Hz monitor. It was difficult to get the colors just right, it always seemed washed out no matter what settings were changed. This monitor did work with G-SYNC when I enabled AMD FreeSync on the monitor itself. Sad that there is a dead pixel, but I will not be purchasing another one after returning this.

For its price, it stands up for what it does. Picture quality is excellent and the high refresh rate hits the spot! I love the look of this monitor too! The only issue I have but really isnt a big deal to me is the bigger bezels, just makes it look a little bulkier but doesnt affect the performance of the monitor at all. Monitor pivots up, down, can rotate left and right, and you can put the monitor vertical if youd like. Very versatile. Overall, great value in my opinion since I was on a budget, and a great monitor! I may buy another for a secondary monitor!

G-sync compatible now but will not function properly with the provided displayport cable. Buy a newer, quality one that doesnt have the 20th pin (power). Others have noted poor colors and other issues with the provided DP cable. This screen is one of the best for 1080p 144hz gaming. Great response time, input lag, with no ghosting. It is a TN panel, do not expect VA or IPS quality when watching video content, this is ideal for fast paced games, like first-person shooters. A little bit of backlight bleed on mine but not really noticeable in games. Colors are quite decent, better than most TNs, extra gamma settings help a lot.

I have owned the ViewSonic XG2402 for 7 months now and can say that I am completely satisfied with its performance. I have not experienced any quality control issues. The color reproduction is good for a TN panel in this price range. 144hz gaming is something that every gamer needs to experience to believe. I spent months reading reviews and technical specs before deciding on ViewSonic and if I ever need another monitor or were ask to recommend one I would have no problem purchasing this display again.

Received a used monitor. Had all kind of smearing as if someone tried to clean it. It even had a tiny but I think was a silverfish on the screen. It had none of the protective plastic film that any new monitor comes with. I just bought some cheap Dell monitor for my office and another gaming monitor and it came with protective plastic film. This did not so it was a dead giveaway. This is obviously used or returned one that they sent to me.
