My husband is a gaming nerd, I apologize he is a highly proficient gamer with a nack for pointing out all of the flaws with picture quality and speed of refresh. To summarize: I was sick of hearing him complain that he died because the refresh was not fast enough

Excellent monitor. I play Rocket League and the predecessor to this monitor XG2401 was rated at a 10ms input lag response (One of the fastest 144hz monitors). I imagine this XG2402 is the same, if not better. In any case it changes the way I play RL for the better, especially coming from 60hz. Only 2 minor problems so far: 1. Buttons on front rock the monitor up and down when you press them. 2. The wire holder on the back is pretty flimsy and I almost broke it trying to put it on the stand. Otherwise very pleased and I recommend highly after about 2 weeks of use.

On my mom’s account to write a review on this monitor she got for me. Used it for a hour. The colors were a little washed out at first, so I calibrated it, the gamma, color saturation and brightness increased. I used Overwatch as my color reference to see how it was. I am picky with colors (artist, but won’t use monitor for that, recommend an IPS one for design) and have to say the color is impressive. Horizontal viewing angles are not bad. Acts like an IPS. Vertical though, oof, medium amount of color distortion. Not like I’ll sit on a ladder or floor though. Speakers are not the best, but I don’t dislike them. Won’t take off a star since they even did included them. Better than nothing. Getting a PC soon, but tried this on my Xbox One. The game tested, as I said was Overwatch. Performed very well. No lag or image quality issues. Thought there was a dead pixel but it turned out to be a little scrap of something. No big deal. The packaging itself came with the box, no protective box. It was okay though. Overall Pros: Image quality for a TN panel Smooth on console (will update once I get my PC) Menu buttons once you get used to them Diverse options for stand adjustments Cons: Speakers Nothing else so far

All the "plus" features are mentioned in the specifications already. Its really good. Except, drivers and usb slots. 1- Drivers cant be installed on a fully updated Win7 x64(I just reverted from Win10 just cause). Neither signed one nor unsigned. Thankfully, you dont need drivers for 144hz support. You can change it on Catalyst Control Center. 2- Location of usb3 ports are useless. I still have to get back of my pc to use them. But these are nothing. Im fine with the product:)

This monitor looks great in my opinion. Upon receiving it, I looked up setting suggestions on Reddit, and I cant complain at all. People that are complaining about it appearing "washed out" likely have it next to a window which has sunlight shining directly on it - I havent had that problem at all. It does in fact work at 144Hz, but it cant be overclocked to 165Hz like some other models. Make sure to use a display port cable - most people dont know that HDMI only supports 60Hz. I ordered a 4K monitor with this at the same time and only had one display port cable - Im not sure if this came with a display port cable, but Im pretty sure that it didnt and I used the cable from my 4K monitor; I would definitely double check the description to see if it comes with one or not. If not, but one separately.

Arrived in perfect condition with no dead or stuck pixels. Native settings are decent if a bit overly yellow, but Ive managed to squeeze a shocking degree of color accuracy out of it after a few days of occasional picture adjustment. However, make no mistake - as with any TN panel, youre still going to be sacrificing a bit of color accuracy in exchange for a fast refresh rate and quick response time. Stand is metal which is appreciated and the panel itself is made of sturdy high-density plastic with what might be a PVC coating to reduce glossyness on the bezel. High quality, unreflective matte screen lacking in any obvious mattiness. However, a possible sticking point: This thing is BRIGHT and finding the perfect light balance for my dark room has been difficult. Ill eventually get it to a perfect level, but prospective buyers in dark areas ought to consider this. One final note: My scores in CoD and Overwatch have gone up since maxing this things refresh rate and response time. Turns out I never sucked - my old monitor did. Edit: Ive only just realized that the stand isnt metal. Its actually dense plastic with a burnished, metal-like finish. Still heavy enough to stabilize the monitor completely in my setup, so score remains unchanged.

Picked this monitor because I use a laptop (Acer Predator Helios 300) which only has an hdmi out on it. Most monitors only support 144hz through dvi so that was an issue for me. After a lot of research this was the most affordable monitor that supports both 144hz AND Freesync over hdmi (The older XG2401 dosent support freesync over hdmi). Works flawlessly, Colors are decent especially for the price and the stand is amazing and very adjustable. Perfect budget gaming monitor. Highly recommend especially if you might be in an oddball situation like myself.

Very solid build. Look great. No issues. I think the menus could be more intuitive. Would like a shortcut or direct button to change input and adjust the volume. Looked at a competitor which I almost bought but had an epiphany that the buttons on the other monitor was on the sides. Using a dual monitor side x side setup that would not work as they would be blocked. Not an issue with these having the buttons on the bottom.

Im really pleased with this monitor. The build quality is great, it doesnt feel like a flimsy piece of junk. The stand is solid and I love that it is adjustable up/down. The image quality is really good. The viewing angles on this panel are better than I expected. Your buddy wont have a problem watching you game on this. Be aware that Freesync is not enabled by default. It has to be turned on from the monitors onscreen menus and then it needs to be enabled on the graphics card. Im using a Sapphire Radion Nitro+ RX580 graphics card with this monitor and it works great!
