This monitor is great for the price. Looks great. I use it for my PS4 and even my roku. I have two of these inside my garage. The stand is fully removable BTW. I saw some reviews about how the stand isnt removable but it is.. Look on youtube and there are ways. Took about 10 min for me to do.

The monitor delivered is not the monitor that is pictured and is completely unsuitable for my purposes. I bought this for use with a thin client that is mounted on the monitor using the VESA mount and the monitor I got cant fulfill this purpose (though the one pictured could have). This was marked as a "Amazons Choice". Shame on them for allowing such deceptive advertising. Differences between this monitor and the one pictured: 1. The VESA screw pattern is around the mounting point for the desktop stand. You can only use one or the other. Since I was going to mount a small net-top box to the back of it and use the monitor stand, this wont work for me (though it could have if I had received the monitor pictured). 2. The video and audio inputs are not vertical and side mounted as shown, but rather horizontal and facing directly outward. 3. The controls are along the back right side, not along the bottom edge as shown. 4. The monitor does not use an "AC in" as shown for power. Instead it takes "DC in" and uses and AC adapter (aka "wall wart") for power. 5. Monitor does not have a DVI input as shown and instead uses a DVI to HDMI adapter cable for this purpose. In short, the entire listing is incredibly deceptive. Its an ok monitor for the price, but if youre planning a particular purpose based on the photos then be aware that you wont receive the monitor in the pictures. It will be some other monitor that has just been given a similar model name.

This monitor is EXTREMELY temperamental. I have a MacBook Pro and it works with it when it feels like. I’ve tried two different docking stations and two different connection methods and both have the same result. You can connect and power it on the same way two different days and get different results. I’m returning it because it takes me 15-20 mins to get it working so I can do my schoolwork. UPDATE: 1 week past the return deadline it doesnt work at all. I asked for assistance and another customer just said to get my money back. Now its too late. Dont make the same mistake I did...

I am not one for writing reviews but it this case I made an exception. It makes me laugh when I see some of the cons that were posted on this item. For the price and quality of this monitor I rate it Five Star Plus. I received this item and right out of the box connected it to my computer. Did not need to read the manual because it was so easy to figure out. After connecting it to my computer and seeing the results for the first time, I new I had purchased the right monitor. The quality of the display was far more then I expected. Very bright, Clear, and fast responding. Again, you could not buy a dinner for what i paid for this item. So for all of you who find fault with this monitor, you are the type of person that would find fault with any monitor no matter what it cost. For all future buyers I would recommend this monitor and know you will be very happy with your purchase. I have built many computers and repaired many monitors and what you get with this monitor for the price is well worth it. You dont have to believe me, but this unit is all Pro: in my opinion.

First off the first pic advertised is all wrong. The monitor itself looks nothing like that. The rest of the pics are correct. Its definitely smaller then what you would think and Im pretty sure its not a 20 inch screen. The resolution is pretty good though. i bought one for my office computer and it works for what i need it for and Im about to buy another one to duel monitor. Its worth the price for sure, but i would never pay more for this product.

My Step Father was in need of a new computer after his laptop died, so rather then get another over priced laptop and because I have been using Mini PCs for a bit we decided to get him a MiniPC with a 20" LED Monitor (19.5" Viewable) with Build-in Speakers. Because we did not want to spend a lot of money, we followed the price and the reviews, and at 4 out of 5 stars, this one peaked my interest. With its True 16:9 Resolution @ 1600 x 900 Native, I wasnt really sure what we would get for under $70 but to my surprise, the Mini PC runs happily at 1600 x 900 Native Resolution with a 5ms refresh rate and the picture is very clear. When ever looking at any TV or Monitor, seeing how well it displays the color Black tells you a lot about its quality. This monitors has a pretty dark black, though I would not call it a "true black" but for his uses, it is perfectly acceptable. By no means is this a gaming monitor, but for someone who just uses their computer for surfing the web, watching YouTube and other streaming media, this monitor is perfect. One last point of interest, while it states 170 degree (Horizontal) / 160 degree (Vertical) viewing angles. I find that when viewing from an angle greater then 90 degrees from center the screen starts to lose its color definition where then white actually turns a shade of tan. While most people dont view their screens from any angle other then head on, this should prove to be a non-issue. From looking at the Specs and some of the older reviews for this monitor, it states that is has 1 HDMI, 1 DVI and 1 VGA Input, however whether Sceptre changed the model due to the lack of DVI support or for some other reason, the one we purchased supports 2 HDMI Inputs and 1 VGA, as well it has Audio Input 3.5mm Mini-Jack for VGA. No DVI, It is also VESA ready with the 4 mount points on the back of the monitor and comes with a stand. All and all, if your looking for an inexpensive monitor that is energy efficient, wont put you in the dog house for spending a lot of money, all while providing you a dynamic color range, and is ready for just about anything you might want to hook up to it, be it a Mini PC, Full Tower PC, or as a monitor for your streaming media servers, this monitor would work well for you. Again, this is not a gaming monitor, and from the best of my knowledge it does not support 4K and I am not entirely sure from what I can tell if it supports 1080p, but again, if your only using this for web surfing, streaming media and the like and you want to keep the costs as low as possible I just dont see how you could go wrong with this monitor. Obviously if your planning on Hardcore Gaming, want to watch 4K Streaming Video, then you might want to invest in something a bit better, but for the money, you really cant go wrong here.

The Bad: have to get it just right for it to work and if you bump the desk its on, it goes out again. im assuming this is a loose connection inside but since i bought it in may (now november). this is unacceptable quality. it says it has a 1 year warranty so im going to see if they take care of it or not and i will change my review up or down accordingly. The Good: looks great speakers are acceptable, no remote which sux to adjust the volume on the very crappy back buttons. but its not a big deal to me. nice slim modern design. love the almost wood grain like finish. and slim bezels. very functional and good I/O. The Ugly: couple dead pixels that seem to pop up once in a while and disappear but it could be related to the issue im having.

I purchased this monitor for a computer I built for my office. At first I was getting a terrible picture tried cable that I was using on a monitor that had a great picture still bad. Went from that to no picture at all. I guess you get what you pay for I will not order another monitor on price alone.

Purchased for my fathers computer in order to get him out of his old 4:3 Dell LCD. Im very surprised by the quality. If it were for me, Id have sprung for an ASUS with Full HD, but this was extremely inexpensive and he doesnt do much more than browse the internet and play some basic games on his PC. I was surprised at the quality of the included speakers so much that I recycled his old Logitechs that came with a keyboard combo that I handed down a decade ago. Theres no ghosting even in the Doom demo. This monitor is more than enough quality and the fact that it sells for under USD$100 is *insane*. I also didnt realize that Sceptre is an American company that has been manufacturing monitors for over 30 years. I thought it was a Korean B brand. Bonus! Were both very happy with the monitor.

SCEPTRE FLAT SCREEN MONITOR. This replaces my ACER Monitor that finally kicked off after 10 years. This new model is much lighter than the old. I was surprised at the weight difference between the two. But 10 years in the computer world is like dog years. In the rest of the world 75 years have passed. This was as easy to set up as changing the batteries in a flashlight...IF YOU IGNORE THE DIRECTIONS, which are less than useless. Attaching the base to the monitor took about 5 minutes. The manufacturer even included a standard Phillips screwdriver- as opposed to a single-use piece of junk. Saved me having to hunt down a screwdriver myself. The Monitor arrived within a few days of purchase and is in perfect condition. THANKS!!
