But it wont be the best monitor youve ever had. I can easily see brighter spots in some sections of the display as others. Im not talking about dead pixels either, just where the screen is literally brighter in parts. Mostly noticeable on dark images/situations. Thats the main reason why I cant give it higher than 4 stars. Now the sound quality, I think I was being generous at 2 stars. It is pretty bad. But then again, who uses the sound from their monitors? Im actually impressed that they even bothered! Its just 1 step better than the internal speaker on most PC towers. The material quality, I had to give a 4 as well. See, I have a triple monitor set up and I believe that in order to get a 5 star rating, they would have had to match up just about exactly, but they didnt. Im being really picky here so dont let the few details I pointed out dissuade you from buying this monitor because for the price, you cannot beat it. Overall, I am happy with my triple purchase of these monitors but I this is a review and I have to say the truth. Thanks for reading!

Not sure if I received a defective monitor, but the colors were washed out. I tried many many different setting combinations to "colors" and "picture" and the quality did not improved. I had my old Asus Monitor side by side and the color difference was so great that it hurt my eyes. Only had it for 8 hours, and now its on its way back to Amazon. I should have spent a little more for a different brand.

Great price. My only complaint is that the pixels bleed, causing funky colors at times. Other 27" monitors costing 2x as much will have better screens, but for someone looking for a larger monitor to help see things better, it works great.

I wanted to wait till Id had this monitor a few months before writing this review. Now after using it for well over 3 months I have to say it is by far the best monitor Ive ever owned. The quality of the picture is outstanding, especially when viewing streaming video thru Netflix or Amazon Prime. The 27 inch curved screen makes for a comfortable viewing experience even from several feet away. The only negative Ive found is the controls on the rear of the monitor make for an awkward experience, but since Ive only had to make a couple of adjustments over 3 months, this is easy to dismiss. Im very satisfied with this purchase and I remember being more than a bit skeptical about buying a monitor this way due to concerns about delivery in the rural area I live in. Very glad I did it!

Most of the peoples problems Ive been reading on here was an experience I was having when I initially hooked up the monitor. There was a white fuzzy outline, colors were washed out, the blacks were more of a light grey. Well after reading another review on here I noticed someone said you needed to change it from 60hz to 75hz in advanced display settings as pictured. After the change the monitor was really all I was hoping for. I think many people are leaving it at 60hz unknowingly and the above stated problems remain for them. Hope this helps someone looking for an answer to the monitor problems like I was. I have no idea why you have to manually go in and change that instead of it being automatic. This has probably resulted in many returns.

Definitely love the product! The picture quality is amazing at standard settings and everything projected comes crystal clear & smooth! For people wondering about the sound, yes it isnt that great unless you hook up external speakers to it, but its decent enough if you arent concerned about it mostly. I use it with both my ps4 and my laptop and Ill say, if you want to use this with multiple HDMI-capable devices/systems invest in a kind of multi-HDMI port (if thats a thing). As for size: its definitely big! (For a monitor) at 27 inches curved, youll be getting a good sized monitor for just about any purpose. The only actual negative is that if you plan to just use the stand it comes with, my advice is to get something to prop the front end of the stand because after you put it all together, it leans down a lot due to the weight Im assuming. UPDATE: So I found out through Sceptres website that this can tilt so my previous problem with it leaning too far forward is now resolved (its rigid so youll have to put a little pressure to it when adjusting). According to the websites specs, it can lean about 5 degrees forward and 15 degrees back

I have a 32" curved monitor at work that I think is great. I thought Id get one for home as well but I dont have the space for a 32" monitor. This Sceptre 27" seemed to fit the bill and with a good price point. It was a risk going with a low-end brand but so far its performance has been great. Just 2 minor issues... Attaching the stand was awkward. They include a Phillips head screw driver but, unless youve got very small hands, its too short to use. I used an extra long screw driver that I had on hand. The scrrews were hard to line up. You have to mess with it a bit to get them lined up. When finished, the monitor leaned to one side slighhtly. Just enough to be noticeable. The other issue is a very faint "hot spot" on the display. A couple of tiny circles where the screen is brighter than it should be. Most noticeable when the background is white. Not significant enough to make me return the monitor.

Great picture. BUT, if you ever have to load he BIOS screen you are out of luck. The monitor will go into power saving mode on reboot and not activate the inputs for some bizarre reason until an OS boots. I could find NO WAY to keep the input active such that I could boot the PC into the BIOS screen. When I did no for certain (another monitor) I w

UPDATE 6/1/18: Amazon replaced my defective unit and it works great. I realize I forgot to mention in the review that the speakers are absolute trash. But I prefer to use headphones anyway so Im not bothered, especially for the price. This monitor is pretty great! I give four stars for one reason: I ordered two and one came opened and cracked. Once they ship my replacement and I see it in working order, Ill bump it to five stars. The variety of inputs makes this monitor easy to use and set up. This is a VA panel, so dont expect the absolute best colors and viewing angles, but I found it to be more than satisfactory for my needs. The curvature is subtle and after using it for a few minutes, I got used to it. I had to do some major calibration when I first set it up, however. The gamma and color values were way out of wack making the display look very washed out. After calibration, colors look amazing and I couldnt be happier with the build quality. Brushed metal everywhere except the front. The included stand is a bit awkward to install, but they include a small screwdriver to assist in reaching the awkward spots. It also includes good documentation and a limited warranty, but upon further reading, it appears the warranty is pretty useless because it doesnt cover shipping damage or damage caused by the user, so thats kinda dumb. For the price, however, I would gladly buy it again. And I will once they refund my defective unit. I was really disappointed that I received a cracked screen on my second one. I hear this is not an isolated case, and many other reviews would indicate theirs also had defects or likewise. Overall Im very happy with this monitor, just be cautious about possible defects and be ready to return it if necessary. Again Ill bump up to five stars when they replace my defective unit. Thanks.
