Okay lets get this straight, youre buying a gaming monitor for under 200 dollars, so dont expect all the bells and whistles... Well having said that, this is a pretty darn good panel for the price and the performance. I havent color calibrated everything to my liking yet so I will most likely write another review later on. Having bought monitors from Sceptre before I can honestly say they are solid and deliver what you can expect from a company that has a stable history in selling computer screens. Out of the box which was pretty impressively packed came the monitor stand, instant liking to the matte black metal which feels sturdy right from the get go. All screws were provided for the mount and the base, and were easy to assemble with the provided screw driver, Sceptre you get big points for this because sometimes you just cant find the right screw driver or maybe some folks just dont have one at all. So kudos to you. Now onto the panel, which was lovingly wrapped with a fun screen protector that is always fun to peel, cmon you have to love the peel. So getting everything together was a snap and although a little wobbly if you accidentally hit the sides of the screen, well its going to happen with these types of stands, so not much worries because it will hold up the screen and durably so. When turning on the screen it went right to the brilliantly red Sceptre text and there was my computer, icons all over the place but then again I had the much smaller and much cheaper Sceptre 20" 75Hz screen which did the job until I forked over the cash for this beast. So after some tweaks to icons, color settings and so on I finally found the somewhat comfort zone with this panel, which is still an adventure but gaming is a beast on this thing. Remember to set Freesync to ON in your monitor settings and graphics settings, via windows and your graphics software. Make sure you select 144Hz using the display port(Recommended) or HDMI 1. Then youre ready to game and this screen was meant for exactly that. I would never go back to 60Hz or my previous 75Hz just because, well you will have to buy one to find out. And for aesthetics I never noticed the LED back lit Red S insignia on the rear of the panel. Pretty sharp Sceptre, pretty sharp, now make the next one in RGB. So in a nutshell, great monitor, great price to performance on a budget and style that can fit any setup all the way around.

I just got this monitor today and it went up and running with out any problems I currently have it set to 122hz but it can run 144hz. The stand is good quality And the price for this is awesome. It is only the first day though so only time will tell if it will hold up. It also came with zero dead pixels from what I can tell. I personally think 1080p nowadays for 24 inches is pushing it though. If you have the money and your system can run it go for a 2k monitor.

Overall, I am impressed with this monitor. I have had Sceptre products in the past before and they are budget friendly and you get what you pay for. With that being said though you get the bang for your buck minus some compromises as with any purchase you make. ---Pros: Going from a 60hz to 144hz monitor is a night and day difference when playing games. AMD FreeSync works well. Colors can take some adjusting right out of the box, but in my opinion that is a compromise of what you pay for. Great options for inputs. You have a DisplayPort input in the back along with two HDMI ports. You can achieve 144mhz on HDMI, but you must have a later model HDMI cable and you have to plug it in the one labled 144mhz. Built-in speakers, but dont expect to get blown away with the sound. Not worth taking a star away because that is to be expected at the price point. ---Cons: Like another viewer has mentioned I did notice that the monitor may black out. I had two of these monitors and one of them would randomly black on and off and made me restart my system. However, after use I havent seen the issue return. The other monitor never showed the symptoms so I guess it will be hit and miss. The monitor is not true edge to edge. I didnt notice it until a few days after use, but lose about a 1/4" between the image displayed and the plastic. If you are into your game you will not notice, but it is noticeable once you are aware of it. Personally, if you advertise "edge-less" truly make it that way. --Overall: I would definitely recommend this monitor. If you are just getting into gaming, or on a budget this is one to get so that you wont break the bank with your purchase. Also, from my experience Sceptre products are pretty good and will last as long as you take care of them. Dont hesitate on this one! Quick note to Amazon: Great customer service on resolving issues. The first monitor I received was left outside my door and was rained on. Moisture did get inside of the box, but the monitor worked. I wasnt comfortable with keeping it so I contacted Amazon and they worked with me in resolving the issue without any hassle. Kudos to Amazon customer service!

I had originally bought the 75hz version of the monitor and was underwhelmed. I then noticed this particular model at 144hz and supporting AMD Freesync for more or less the same price. Returned old one, got this one. All in all the Monitor is really good, but I wont say great. Setup is about what youd expect for a monitor, picture quality is good, a tad on the fuzzy side though. The AMD FreeSync works great I will say. Toggled it on and was able to crank the settings I normally would have had to turn down.
