If you expect the best of the best, this is NOT it. The old saying of “you get what you pay for” is true here as well. While the stats seem impressive, the color rendering and the pixel per inch are not. This is a surprisingly large screen, we all can read the stats but having it on the desk, it surprised me with its massive size. While that seems like a good thing, it’s not. In the end a screen needs to hit the sweet spot between resolution - or better pixel per inch (ppi/dpi) for the intended viewing distance. On a normal desk you will end up sitting rather close to it, and if you have very good eyesight and have the expectation that this will feel like a Surface Laptop 2 or similar, then you’ll be disappointed. I have another Samsung 34 inch WQHD (so a bit shorter than full 4K but full 4K width) - and I like that one much more and at nearly twice the price of this screen here, I think I know now where that price difference comes from. The problem can be compounded if you use anything higher but the “100% dpi setting” in Windows. Now there are a couple of good things about it. Price, the curvature they chose is spot on to appear visually rectangular, number of connections is good, rear-connection cover. Overall a bit “cheap-plasticky” but that doesn’t really matter - so it is very light. If you just need an office screen, or actually just need a massive screen so you can fit more content while at the same time making it more accessible at a 200% dpi setting for people that have less than perfect eyesight - then this is a very good screen. This isn’t a glowing review but I also have decided to keep it and that means it’s not terrible, just not the best out there.

It a nice looking monitor. The picture looks OK but not getting 4k image just yet. The images provided by Samsung and shown on Amazon clearly show a MINI DisplayPort input so that’s what I ordered. I opened the box only to learn that it’s a regular display port. The monitor only comes with HDMI, which I have connected to a 1080p source (PS4). I assume most people, like me, have plenty of extra HDMI cables and would rather have the DisplayPort cable included. Now I need to order a DisplayPort cable since the description and picture were vague and misleading. Mostly Samsung’s fault and not Amazon’s. The upscaling from 1080p to 4k is OK, it not great. If you only have 1080p sources it’s probably not worth it. I will maybe update the review when I get the correct cable to connect it to my PC. The curvature is nice, but probably more gimmicky at a 16:9 ratio. It’s probably more immersive on a 21:9 ultra wide. In all it’s an OK monitor that probably isn’t worth $450-500.

My work requires me to spend a lot of time in front of a monitor all day long. It does gets my eyes tired. With this new monitor, everything is more relaxed, easier to read and follow (Im 38 years old with a 20/20 sight). A pleasure to work with this huge monitor for spreadsheets, emails, coding and video calls. One drawback is that it doesnt have any USB connections at the back. Not a big deal but its a nice to have. I havent used the PBP (Dual connections), but for what Ive read it might come handy if you use 2 computers at the same time and dont need the full screen real state for both of them. I liked very much the fabric in the back.., nice touch...

Install Flash Player The Samsung 32" UR59C Curved 4K UHD Monitor is sharp out of the box. I have had the pleasure of using this monitor for office work. This ultra high definition monitor is of the highest quality. This curved monitor has the 3 Cs covered - color, clarity , and contrast. I especially enjoy the "eye saver" feature. I work 10 to 12 hours a day on a Windows workstation. Eyestrain is an occupational hazard in my career. The sharpness of this display allows me to put down my glasses for most of the work day. The immersive viewing experience is perfect for work and play. I love this #SamsungMonitor. I will continue to enjoy the #SamsungMonitorExperience in my home and office. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Ordered 2 for dual monitors. One was good and one was bad, that one had no brightness adjustment. Trying to return back back ordered for over a month now. No response on shipping

I had a 2x23" 4K Dell monitor setup. I am dumping it for the Samsung U32R590. Finally a monitor with enough screen space that the 4K resolution does not need to be scaled. I am very happy with this monitor. I use it for software development. It is large enough to have an editor, terminal screens and several browser windows open at the same time.

Just got this yesterday. 32" from corner to corner, a little over 31" diagonally across the screen. Bottom edge of monitor while on stand is about 3.6" above desk. Everything on screen appears smooth and sharp (because 4k). I feel that monitors over 30" should be UHD if your face is between 2 and 3 feet away. With a WQHD monitor of this size, I was having a harder time seeing enemy players from long distances away while gaming, but UHD brings in that detail. When I first got this, the screen was extremely bright and a little washed out. (Mine came from a company that had been testing it in another language too, apparently, so the settings had already been messed with.) I lowered the brightness to 35 and boosted the colors to more accurately match my IPS monitor. It looks great now and much better than other VA monitors. For Freesync, you will need to install third-party software. I originally thought this was a Freesync monitor when I bought it, but there were no options in the on-screen display. I already had a program installed for custom resolutions, and I found that it also had options to enable Freesync. AMDs Freesync range is pretty big, but monitors have a specific range in which it actually works, so I tested between 35 and 60Hz. This ones Freesync range turned out to be 43-59 Hz. If you stray outside the range, youll experience signal loss. Additionally, this only works with HDMI. Disclaimer: if you choose to enable Freesync on a monitor, research how to do it first, and dont freak out if your monitor goes black. You should probably have another monitor handy in case you mess up. If your Freesync range is different, youll have to test your lower and upper bounds by limiting framerate to test for signal loss. I will not share exactly how I enabled Freesync because someone capable of doing this should be able to figure it out from what I wrote, and I dont want to be blamed for someone somehow bricking their rig and setting their house on fire. Anyway, Im in love with this monitor already, and if anything were to happen to it, I would be deeply upset and agitated.

First, the size of the box it comes in is huge. Obviously to hold the 32-inch monitor that is inside. Everything was well packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. The monitor has its own stand mount and cannot be used with any standard monitor mounts, which is a downside if you are wanting to mount it otherwise. When setting up your cables to run, the stand has a cable channel that allows you to hide the cables and not be sore eyesight. The monitor does come with an HDMI cable which is nice but not the other type of cable to utilize the PBP feature. The other video input is DisplayPort which you cannot use an HDMI cable on, so youd have to do your own research on finding an Active DisplayPort adapter. Once I powered on the monitor the resolution was amazing, not because of the size and in your face. I could see more detail on a larger scale, which is nice for me since I do some design work on my CNC router and laser. This was a major reason why I wanted the 32-inch Samsung monitor. You control all the settings through a simple joypad style button like most Samsung products have, which can be a pain but convenient and out of the way. Along with using it for my CNC work, I use it to play my gaming console as well as I wait on projects to finish on my laser. I can either watch both my laptop and gaming console at the same time or I can choose to switch between them utilizing the DisplayPort. It has an eye saver mode built-in if you plan on using for extended hours at a time but I have not used that feature yet. Going through and adjusting the settings, most of the images or videos that play on the monitor look lifelike! The curve on the monitor is very nice to have especially if you are sitting so close to it using your computer. It definitely gives what you are looking at a better perspective for your eyes since it is about the same distance from the center to the edge of the monitor. So if you are looking for something huge, uses little desk space, amazing picture and resolution, hides cables, lets you use 2 video inputs at the same time or switch between the two. Then this is the monitor for you to get! I would really like to get another one to go side by side!

It is a bit odd that theres no VESA mounting support, especially given the price of this thing. The stand that comes with it is nice though. The whole thing feels and looks nice. The display itself is sharp and bright and colorful. Easily the best monitor Ive ever bought. The power adapter does come off the back a bit too easily. It doesnt fall off, but a slight touch or movement of the cord can easily disconnect it. Still, slight issues aside, 5 stars. Easily the best display Ive had the pleasure of sitting in front of.

The Samsung 32" UR59C Curved 4K UHD Monitor has set a new standard for me as far as computer monitors go. It’s a great compliment to the two 24.5 Curved Samsung monitors I was already using. The screen resolution offers great clarity when I’m watching HD movies and tv shows. This is especially essential when I’m using any software in the adobe suite. The colors and contrast definitely deliver in providing an immersive experience. The curved design and fabric textured finish in itself is very stylish. The feature that I’ve used the most since I received it is the picture by picture. I can’t tell you how convenient it is to have two computers up at the same time without having to switch back and fourth. Samsung was really thinking on everything they put into this monitor and I can’t wait to see how it continues to improve.
