The first monitor I got had a shadow down the right side and along the bottom so I exchanged it. The second monitor had the shadow on the right but also had small horizontal lines that was VERY distracting. I guess I should lean my lesson and just go with Dell from the beginning.
Updated: The new unit I received after returning the first one also an area of dead pixels. It definitely seems like these panels lack the quality check higher end ones do. This is definitely not worth your money until they have better quality control. Old: Like a different reviewer, I found my first one out of the box to be less than perfect and it was very noticeable on a white background. Definitely not what I expected from a Samsung panel.
PROS: - USB C connection worked as advertised. It was nice only needing one cable for picture, audio, and the USB accessories I had plugged into the monitor - 100Hz refresh rate - The monitor was aesthetically attractive CONS: - The picture quality simply is not good, especially considering it is a Samsung product. - The image constantly looked washed out no matter what I did in the settings. - Contrast was bad - Colors were just dull Please do not buy this if you care about picture quality at all. I regret this purchase, which is why I returned it.
