Failed after 4 months of daily work use for development. No extreme gaming or graphical heavy applications. Monitor made a very high pitch electronic emissions type noise, similar to the sound of some power bricks. Many people cannot hear those upper frequencies, but for those of us who do, its very distracting. I looked past this due to the lively Eye-Saver mode. However, after just 4 months, the display port input stopped accepting signal from any sources, and this is the ONLY way to get full quality resolution from this monitor. HDMI to my MacBook or MacMini only displays 1080, and looks really blurry and oversized. Totally junk. Stick with LG. Samsung makes nice phones, but they cut way tok many corners on their TVs and computer monitors. I can no longer return this to amazin, and I dont have the patience to deal with Samsung support. Yes i replaced the displayport cable, yes i tried various sources, yes this monitor is a waste of time and money. That is all.

monitor looks great. using hdmi the monitor works great. I bought a 10ft Amazon Basics displayport cable but the pc would not boot (no Post). I am using 1080ti and none of the ports would work with this monitor using a displayport cable. I have no other cable to try it with. Very strange issue, i have no idea if its the monitor, the cable or vidcard. Like i said HDMI works fine and i am getting 144hz at 1440p.

Finally pulled the trigger. wanted to upgrade my ASUS 28 inch, which is the best monitor Ive owned, to a 32 inch for a while, just couldnt find that Bang for the Buck monitor. Well, this is it! Been playing Ghost Recon all weekend with it and OMG its such a huge difference. Pros: Big Beautiful No dead Pixels Price!! Cons: None, well see about reliability. If you are looking for a 32 inch, 1440P Mon. you will not regret buying this beast.

Before going over this monitors limitations, Id like to start by saying that, flaws aside-- it is a VA panel with decent colors and strong contrast, adequate pixel response times, and a high refresh rate. All of those are good things, and the superior contrast of VA panels alone makes the JG50 work considering if you arent going to be doing serious color work in addition to gaming. That being said-- the JG50 is a wonderfully cheap for a 1440P 144hz monitor, but coming to it from a series of 60hz 1440p panels used over the years I did find some aggravations. First off: the ergonomics are non-existent. The monitor IS VESA-compatible, thank goodness, but if youve been relying on included stands to get your desk set up just right you wont be able to with this display. Secondly: the image quality is pretty good, but could be better. Theres no garish oversaturation to non-HDR content with this screen (yay!), but SDR content seems a bit undersaturated at times compared to the other SDR-optimized screens Ive got to compare it too. Additionally, the default gamma definitely seems a bit washed-out: you can set it to "Mode2" in the "Color" submenu of the "Picture" menu for something more attractive, but with a bit of black crush. Finally, something about the monitors pixels makes the gaps between them unusually visible under certain circumstances. With busy or bright content its a non-issue, but on dark backgrounds (think the colors used by Steam or Discord) I can kind of see the gaps between pixels from a distance of ~2.5 feet. This doesnt *bother* me very much -- you can see this effect on practically any 1080p monitor or 32 QHD after all --but does seem sub-par since I know that there are other 27" QHD monitors which dont have this visual effect. tl;dr: strong basics, but dont expect a Rolls-Royce for the price of a Camry

Install Flash Player This is my first ever curved screen experience and let me tell you it is the best immersive experience i have ever felt playing a game. 32 inch screen is good for desk in your home. i hooked up curved screen monitor to my PS4 and OMG what a drastic change I felt starting from the welcome screen to actually playing the game. I love playing SPIDER Man game as well as other kind of RPG games such as Far Cry and Tomb raider. Crisp Clear video rendering. Amazing experience. This is a good desktop monitor that you can use to work on creating graphics. Even though I was not able to the 144hz refresh rate the experience was amazing playing PS4. Also when I hooked my 1080p laptop and videos on YouTube it was a 4K experience. What I Liked: 1. Great Display quality 2. Very less bezels 3. immersive experience 4. Different modes of viewing such as Cinema etc 5. 2 HDMI ports What i did not like: 1. Only one button to navigate and make changes to the screen settings 2. For a classy curved screen i felt the making changes to the setting was old school. 3. NO SPEAKERS. This was a big turn off for me since I had no choice but to put on headphones. 4. For Gaming i feel the screen should be more wider, curving the screen doesnt add any difference to it. 5. i was not able to get refresh rate to 144. The only option i had was 60Hz. I guess you need to buy HDMI2 cable to get that refresh rate. Unfortunately i did not had any and expected it to be out of the box. Recommendation: Yes Yes Yes I will definitely recommend this gaming monitor for some who loves gaming on PC/PS4/Xbox games. This is ideal for college kids living in dorms or have roomates. Perfect fun experience and party experience.

I spend a lot of time on either my work laptop or my home desktop. I have used anything from < 1080p monitors, to 1200p and 1440p monitors. I own a decent BenQ 1080p 120Hz monitor...but never high refresh rate on 1440p, so I was excited to get this model. I love the Samsung brand (tablets, phones, fridges,TVs) so far, so I thought Id give their monitor a shot, boy am I glad I did! I have no dead pixels. HOWEVER, it took me a little while to realize you HAVE TO use a displayport cable to get 144Hz @ 1440p. I had an old DP cable that wasnt up to snuff, so I ordered an amazon basics cable, and BOOM was good to go! I have played a handful of my favorite games and the experience is so buttery smooth I cant get enough. It beats the snot out of 1080p @ 60Hz, it is one of those things that you dont know you are missing until you experience it! The packaging was nice, even though I understand why they included an HDMI cable, a DP cable would have been nice. The OSD is easy to use, for me at least, and makes sense. I also appreciate the panel having a 15deg vertical tilt. I think some people miss this feature, as it is outlined in the manual, but it is stiff, which is fine by me. The monitor is also VESA-compatible, though, so its not all bad. Since the way my desk is ergonomically set up, I look at the monitor dead center naturally anyway, so the stand isnt too bad for me. But for literally everyone else, get a VESA mount. The plastic monitor case is sturdy and looks premium. the bezels are SMALL and the overall build quality is quite high for this price range. Overall, this monitor can hold its own against monitors $600 and uup in some cases. It does need a little calibration out of the box, but if you arent a color snob or professional artist, youd likely be fine anyway. Its a VA panel, with 3000:1 contrast ratio, so there is a little color hue change as your viewing angle changes, but I think the backlight bleed isnt bad and overall the PQ is great. The 144Hz refresh rate is buttery smooth if you have the GPU to power it in whatever game you play. If you are a gamer and are thinking of buying this monitor, DO IT!

Years ago a computer monitor was just a monitor, a screen to display data on and annoying green glowing lights on a small CRT screen. Today the world revolves around the ever changing size of the flat screen that we carry in our pocket and/or hang on huge walls in our home or office. The monitor (or perhaps we can now call it a gaming monitor) are now the most demanding piece of the gaming rig, next to the video card. The Samsung CJG5 is a 32” gaming monitor which comes with “almost” all of the required features to pacify most demanding gamers. I am focusing on the 32” monitor. To begin with I am upgrading from an older 27” monitor to the new 32” Samsung curved monitor. At first glance the picture is gorgeous. The curved VA panel comes with a 144 Hz refresh rate. You need to plug into the HDMI2 port to achieve that refresh rate or use the “not included” display port cable. To focus on gaming Samsung promises a 1ms response time in full game mode. Contrast ratio is 3,000 to 1 making the blacks look great for a fairly priced monitor. Samsung was able to keep the price reasonable by leaving off features that we can live (and game) without. Notably HDR and AMD’s Free Sync (probably saves $200-$300). Can you live without them? Sure and you can put the savings towards a top line video card. Most HDR systems relay on the basic standard display of the HDR 400. I think the 144 Hz refresh is a good trade off. Also HDR on a 32” screen really does not do much anyway. Besides there will be a better HDR display in the immediate future as the OLED becomes more into focus. AMD’s free sync is becoming available on some NVidia cards now, but was made for Amd chips to begin with. So let’s face facts as prices drop you’re going to buy an OLED monitor in a few years anyway and you will have a bunch of new features that have not even been invented yet. The on screen display (OSD) menu is easy to navigate. There are two HDMI ports and one display port. The stand is a bit weak in my opinion, but livable with vesa support. The Bezel is very thin, works great with dual monitors (or even triple!!)! Basically Samsung took the top of the line monitor and dolled it up and slapped a great price on it. The result is a great looking monitor with a great picture and a great price. A monitor you can game on even watch movies. Let’s turn to the expert (my 15 year old “gamer “son). I figures I would have my son give me his opinion of the CJG5 32’ monitor. After all he puts in more time and plays the demanding games. He was excited about playing on a 32” curved screen that seemed to envelop him into the same itself. He likened it to a “mini Imax” environment. He plays a long list of games, Rainbow Six Siege, Destiny 2, Call of Duty-Black Ops, Total War and Civilization (me candy crush!). He feels the 144 Hz refresh rate enhances the game immensely. Very smooth, no ghosting, better color, feels that game play has taken a major step forward. He is looking at playing some older games, just to see the improvement. One more thing, he is now watching DVD & blue ray and streaming movies on this monitor, he just loves the larger curved screen with its wide viewing angle. The only problem, he had a dual 27” monitor set up now he has a 32” and 27”. I know what he will be asking for next!

For a while now I’ve had a pretty powerful gaming rig with a full racing sim setup, but never upgraded to a gaming monitor. What was I waiting for? I missed out on so much. I have never seen the full potential of my system until now. I’ve been playing on a 24” 1080p display 60Hz. Out of the box, the Samsung 32” CJG5 is very clean looking. It has the power/selector switch on the bottom center of the screen with a minimal bezel on top and sides. It has a DisplayPort, two HDMI and a headphone jack. It comes with a power adapter and an HDMI cable. I wish it would have came with a DisplayPort cable instead like most modern monitors. As soon as I installed it and powered it on, I realized what I’ve been missing. At 2560x1440 with the larger screen, everything looks very sharp and clean. After playing a couple of FPS, the first thing I noticed was that the screen tearing was completely gone. At 144Hz, my games are all so smooth. So I am able to bring it closer and setup my racing sim, and all I can say is WOW! It sad to know I’ve e been playing this way all this time. Everything looks much more realistic because of how smooth everything moves. The blacks are much darker and gives my games more depth. The curved screen feels easier on the eyes since it’s the same distance from your eyes to the screen whether looking at the center or the sides. Your eyes don’t have to focus as much when looking at the center or the corners, so you get less eye fatigue. When being productive on my computer, the larger screen gives me more room to open and view multiple windows at the same time on the same screen. It’s very bright, yet has an “eye saver” mode that helps block blue light. Over all this is by far the best monitor I have used and already had a friend see and and wants to purchase one for himself. I highly recommend this monitor.

Good quality picture - resolution, colors, etc - but that is when it is working properly. Has very annoying habit of the screen going entirely black every 10 - 15 minutes for several seconds. Samsung support was sure that different cable was the solution (the one they sent was inadequate?). Bought the suggested replacement but problem persists (original and on replacement had same problem). Would not buy again. Update 20 Nov 18. Amazon was willing to take 2nd one back and provided some recommendations. Researched them and saw one I liked but some reviewers noted a couple of deficiencies. Then some other reviewers said problems could be fixed and gave guidance. While checking my computer to ensure I could address the deficiencies if encountered, ran into an error message and resolving that led to the Samsung monitor working properly. Kudos to reviewers for their help. Same cannot be said for Samsung support which never mentioned what turned out to be the cause as a possibility. Would now rate the monitor with 4 stars. Good product for the price - just do not expect much from Samsung support.

I have been using this monitor for two weeks now for heavy gaming sessions as well as normal day to day work and photo editing. Pros -Crystal clear picture quality -Plug and play and works well with every game - Strong clear colors -Multiple ports available for different connection types - Easy assembly Cons -The monitor tilts a little towards the user, by design, and can be an adjustment -Due to the stand and height there can be a slight wobble when typing -Computer seems to think it has audio ports and ads it as an audio device -No Display port in the box Other thoughts: I went into this thinking that I would consolidate from a multi monitor set up to a single monitor. While games are massive on this thing it is not quiet wide enough to function as a single screen with games and dischord up, so I have gone with two monitors still. The picture is bright and clear even when compared to my other 144mhz expensive monitor that is sitting near. Of the issues the only one that really bothers me is the screen shake, but that may be less of an issue if you have a very solid desk. I would highly recommend this product if your an avid gamer, just be aware that it will take up a lot of space on your desk and you still may want another screen.
