I run a dual monitor system and recently purchased two. These monitors are gorgeous! might have to upgrade to four monitors just so I have an excuse to buy two more!
Excellent Monitor, bought two for my computer at home. Just waiting to buy the third to have a full arc of monitors. Just to let you know this unit has the standard Samsung joystick control on the back of it. It can be kind of annoying it to you learn how to use it, but if you have a Samsung LED TV youll be used to it. This unit does not have internal speakers, but it does have a speaker output in the form of a 1/8 inch mini jack on the back of the unit. The unit is HDMI only, but I solved that issue by getting a display port to HDMI cable to use all ports on my video card. They are cheap, only about $10 US. It does come with its own HDMI cable so you do not have to buy one. The unit has an external power supply, so be prepared for another power brick hanging around under the desk.
This replaced a smaller and rather old monitor. I love this monitor -it is very bright and clear. The curve makes it feel like its even larger than it is. The curve does take a little getting used to. I purchased one of these locally for my wife about a year ago and have wished to have one myself. I cant speak to its suitability for gaming because I use it in more of an office-type environment, not for gaming. It does show a beautiful picture and hers has been a great monitor, so I feel confident about the quality.
Really nice monitors, especially for the price. I am now a work from home employee and wanted to have some decent monitors to work with. I purchased two and then mounted them on an elevated stand. I really like them. As with most monitors, I had to turn the backlight down (its super bright to start), and the little shuttle based menu thing in the back takes a bit of getting used to, but outside of that, they are nice monitors. They mounted to a mounting arm without having to use any spacers, etc...the plate fit right on the back just like a non-curved monitor. One thing to note - for these monitors, they put the power suppy external to the monitor....the power supply is in the plug, so there is a sizable plug (like an oversized wall wart plug) that is used for each monitor, so take that into account when allocating power outlet space. They can eat up some outlet space on a standard type power strip (unless you get one that flips the plugs 90 degrees). However, it helps with weight and makes the monitors that much lighter because the power conversion equipment is external to the monitor. But, I believe its proprietary, so if the external power supply goes south, then finding a replacement may be a challenge. Have VGA & HDMI inputs (I am using HDMI). Havent used for gaming, but they seem fast scan rate. I cannot seem to get them to go to 75 Hertz (may be due to my Mac). They calibrated without issue with a Spyer.
Purchased this monitor to compliment a new system build. This is my first curved monitor and my first monitor ever to exceed 21." I had read various mixed opinions on curved vs flat monitors, but was too intrigued by the immersion possibilities. Given that the retail price of this monitor was equal to a flat panel version of the same size I was also looking at, I chose this one. Let me tell you, I could not be happier. Be it games, reading, or watching videos this monitor is amazing! Im sure there are many who would consider this an entry level and to some degree they may be right. However you should pick the monitor that works for you. Given the distance from where this thing sits on my desk to my face, this size was perfect and the resolution also perfect.
Awesome monitor .. Setup is very easy i use it via HDMI ... Picture quality is great .. Curved .... Now that i have it , now i know , i needed it ...
I use a laptop for all computing and only tolerate the small screen when I have to use it away from home. As soon as I am home I hook up this monitor and it is such a relief. Looks great and hooks up in a jiffy and takes up very little desk space. Very easy on my 75 year old eyes!!! I dont use it for watching movies but I think it would be very adequate for that as well as general computing needs.
Great monitor, love the design and clarity. I do wish that the entire stand could be removed for vesa mounting. Not a big deal though because it still mounts. I bought 3 of them for my desktop and they turned out awesome. I linked the stand I bought for them to mount on and it works perfect, able to achieve a perfect curve with it. Mount-It! - Im a graphic designer, so I care greatly about color accuracy. So far, its pretty decent. Im yet to have a marathon session on this. - I read a lot about the eye saver stuff, and how well it works. Thats great and all, but as far as colors are concerned, they get all muddy and dull. Im not sure Ill be using that a lot. - Itll take a bit for me to get used a curved monitor. So far, its pretty rad. - Monitor is super bright and very sharp. - No dead pixels on this that I can see. - The power button is also a menu joystick. Very easy to use, and very user friendly menu. - There is an audio port in the back...never tested, never will. - Monitor ONLY has 1x HDMI and 1x VGA ports in the back... VGA? Really?
Ive only had them for a few days, but so far theyre excellent! There are important notes, such as when mounting on a vesa mount, you need to use the spacers so that the bracket doesnt pull on the screen. I would guess that is where a lot of people failed and broke their monitors before turning them on. Just a guess, though. The picture is fantastic! I got these on sale on prime day for $117 each, I wish I would have bought more for my desk and for my wifes desk. The only down side really is there arent separate buttons, its a directional pad style button, so its a bit confusing to use at first.
