I ordered the Planar PCT2235 22-inch touchscreen monitor that features projected capacitive touch technology and registers up to 10 simultaneous touch points. I researched for quite some time and had my husbands helped as well. The monitor is fast and responsive and tilts easily. It works well with our Windows 10 and the setup was a cinch. The screen looks consistent throughout and it did not require calibration. The reason why I was highly interested in this Planar was because of the three-year warranty and 2-day replacement guarantee. The two-day replacement was tested because of an issue with the first shipment. That guarantee attached with this monitor is accurate. The screen is crisp and nice to look at. Overall, based on our experience we would not hesitate to order again and are happy about the monitor.

I was looking for a touch screen monitor with as much real estate as I could get and for the price the Planar Helium doesnt disappoint. It offers a good variety of connection options with a DisplayPort, VGA, and HDMI ports. It also has 2x USB 2.0 ports on the rear and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks. It came with a VGA, HDMI, and audio cable as well as a cord wrap and a small cell-phone style stylus (which, while appreciated, is not optimal for such a large screen). The onboard speakers are pretty tinny, but I didnt even realize that it had built in speakers before I purchased it so thats no let-down. I was very impressed by the kickstand attached to the backside of the monitor, it feels very steady when upright at 15 degrees and will hold the unit anywhere along the way down to 70 degrees. When it is in its lowest position, it is easy to type using on-screen keyboards and take full advantage of the multi-touch functionality. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I originally planned to use a wall mount for the screen, but the kickstand works so well Ive stuck with it for the last few months. Now for the bad: -This is a HEAVY monitor. It is much heavier even than some of its all-in-one counterparts such as the Lenovo Horizon (although it is comparable to the A740). -There is a fair amount of light bleed toward the lower corners of the screen. It lessens slightly when the monitor is reclined to its lowest position, so I suspect that this may be a symptom of its weight putting pressure on the display. It becomes noticeable when viewing darker images and video. -It is sometimes difficult to manage cords connected to the monitor. I have both all of the ports except for the audio in/out occupied and there is noticeable resistance from the bending cords when tilting the screen p and down. It seems that it would have been better to put the ports on one side of the screen considering the motion that the screen makes. It is a small downside, but it does become a nuisance from time to time. -I wont short this monitor for not being QHD because of when it came out, but the image quality isnt perfect. Like I said, its great for multi-tasking, but the color and sharpness arent where I would want them to be for work in photoshop.

Changing from 4 stars to 3. Replacing a laptop and wanted something similar in a touch screen. This fits the bill for me. The con: the power and menu "buttons". There were no buttons only touch areas. The markings for them were almost invisible. To find them I had to turn off the monitor (glare) and use a bright light and magnifying glass to find the markings. I had to put a dot on each mark with a silver metallic marker to be able see them while using the monitor. After re-reading and studying the manual I found the outside two buttons are 1 & 2 and the inside 2 are the scroll buttons. Thankfully after setting up the monitor I will probably never have to use these again 2 day update. Window task bar cannot be accessed by touch no mater which edge of the screen you put it on - only by mouse. And the sound is really bad. If you get this plan on having another source for your sound.

I build commercial kiosk setups with touch screens and have tried several on the market. These are by far the best. They are a bit pricier than some, but its well worth it considering three things: 1. The power supply is built in and can handle both 120v and 220v. 2. There is a USB 3.0 hub built in, powered by the onboard power supply, which also serves as the data link for the touchscreen. On other screens Ive tried, the touch sensor in the screen is powered by the USB connection from the computer, which causes problems in my case. No such problems here. 3. Theres no makers mark or anything visible from the front, which is ideal for my needs. I dont use the stand it comes with, but its better than other touchscreens Ive dealt with. It also comes with a full set of cables, including audio for the dinky speakers built in.

Im using it as a touch screen mixer for audio recording. It works well, but 3 stars for being a little slow to react and for the idiotic placement of the power button and menu controls, which are also touch sensitive and impossible to avoid. Ill replace it with another brand eventually, but it works for now.

Great clarity, brightness, volume, and touch response. Well built. Nice thin bezel. Lost a star because the description is incorrect and the controls are touch instead of tactile push. This does NOT come with Helium stand and is NOT a USB 3.0 hub and does NOT have DVI input. The stand is a kick out single hinge as shown in the main image. Still worked well for me.

I regularly have meetings in my office. The problem with a standard desktop setup is that traditional monitors are large, bulky and completely block the view of people you interface with for meetings and sit-downs. I have been looking for a monitor that can be adjusted to lay flat when someone comes to sit across from me. The Planar Helium 22" screen is the solution Ive been looking for. Functionality: The monitor is easily adjusted from the back lays down as I need it to. No fuss and is fast to adjust. The Helium stand retracts back up on its own when you adjust it to a proper viewing angle for work. I will most likely rarely use it in a flat position, but its there if I need it. I have a 55" tv in my office that I often use to present work related material to my staff and clients, and being able to use this combination works perfectly for my needs. I absolutely love it. Touch Screen: A bonus is the touch screen. Its super responsive and easy to use. Very much like a tablet. I have yet to experience any delay or unresponsiveness when pressing on the screen. Also, its accurate. I didnt buy this monitor for the touch panel functionality, but I can see how this will be beneficial moving forward. Screen Quality: I do a mix of work. Lots of the usual email reading, Microsoft Office work as well as graphic design, photography and video work. The colors and crispness of the monitor are excellent. Text is sharp and vivid as are the colors. The screen is reflective, not matte. I dont have too much light in my office so reflective light is not an issue for me. Plus, glossy screens add punch and contrast which is what I like. Very much like Apple laptops and iMacs. Also, the screen is bright. Out of the box, the screen is more on the blue side but is easily adjusted using the in-menu Blue Light Reducer options. Works like a charm. Another thing to note is the bezel. Its very thin which makes gives me a large viewing area without the excessive bezel size. The equates to a smaller footprint and takes up very little space on my desk. I really like that. Cons: the panel does not have 100% even light near the edges. This is common in many monitors. Although not very noticeable, this may be a deal breaker for folks needing to have a very accurate monitor for design and creative work. Also, the panel has limited viewing angles from the sides, but the viewing angles from the top and bottom are fine, which is good since this is a tiltable monitor and is intended to be viewed from a flat and upright position. All in all, a very good monitor that fits my needs and recommend it to anyone needing a laptop with that can lay flat when needed and takes up very little space on the desk. Please see the attached photos for my setup and how I use it.

Good Quality touchscreen monitor and sleek look. Major downside is that it has touch sensitive buttons. Why does any manufacturer think that touch sensitive buttons on the face of a touchscreen monitor that is made so you can touch it is a good idea. We constantly touch the menu or power buttons accidentally due to their placement. Very poor location for such sensitive buttons. Also built in speakers are extremely under powered. Build quality is good other than the terrible touch sensitive buttons. Picture quality is also great, and the touchscreen works perfectly fine with Windows 10 and the latest version of Android, we use this monitor for our bagging station at our restaurant powered by an Android based mini computer running our KDS software (Fresh KDS - compatible with Square POS) It was a low-cost solution for us, and meets our needs.

First off, this was amazingly simple to setup. Attach the HDMI and USB cables, plug it in, and it just works with my Windows 10 machine. Windows itself is a bit awkward when you are using it primarily in "tablet" mode, but you can quickly work around most issues. My one main complaint is there isnt a physical on/off switch. It just auto-ons when the computer is on and its plugged in. Since its not wearing down a battery or anything, its something you can live with - but would be nice to be able to power off when not in use without having to turn off the PC or change settings back and forth depending on what youre doing. Very responsive screen with good colors and decent refresh rate. Speakers work for my needs (notifications and on-screen keyboard feedback), but obviously not going to be great for music with much bass. Cant really beat this for the price!

I initially really liked this monitor, but it has been failing lately. I purchased this to test for work applications on an e-signature lease set up for my company, and the initial testing all went great. I purchased in February and now here we are in early May and the monitor has diagonal flashing lines that go through it and a blurred appearance to many fine detail items such as spreadsheets. This is really disappointing for me as it failed during the 90 day testing phase that I wast trying and so I wont be ordering these for our field locations after all and Im back to the drawing board looking for a reliable touch screen product to use. I would not order this again.
