This monitor out of the box is great! Been using it now for about four hours. First, I didnt use the stand, VESA mount only DP. TLDR: HDR feature sucks, monitor is great! Well worth the $279 I paid for it. 1440p looks great! 165hz as advertised. The "LOS" or crosshair for FPS type games is great and functional (press the + button to activate it.) The RTS timer is great too, i dont intend to use it. The pre adjusted settings look good, i prefer to fine tune towards cool settings, but the settings look good for intended purposes. The testing I did show that the freesync works well, and the geforce compatible sync works well too! Worked right out of the box once i turned on the Freesync setting in the monitor menu. Only negative, HDR. This is a sRGB manipulation built into the monitor, not true HDR. What i mean, the monitor will adjust settings to make it darker, more vibrant color (which makes it look weird) rather than a hardware HDR. Meaning, you cant enable AMD or Geforce HDR in games. Not to mention with a peak brightness of 350, it doesnt meet the certification for HDR anyways. Overall, the settings I was looking for actually work for this monitor! Its great, especially for the $279 I paid for it!

For the price this is a great buy. Running this thing with a rtx 2070 and using the display port cable this monitor was able to hit the 165hz refresh rate and has been working flawlessly with the Gsync to freesync since nvidia finally decided to play ball. Colors needed a bit of tinkering with calibrations but look good now. Pros: silky smooth 165hz refresh Good picture quality All features work as described. Cons and reason for 4 stars: Doesnt display a picture till windows loads. Not a problem unless you need to get in your bios. Stand is cast metal and has zero adjustments. HDR looks way over saturated.

Great Monitor for the price this monitor works great the included dp cable sucks the screen flickers a lot at 1440p 165hz you may need to buy a dp cable. gsync works, for hdr you have to go to the menu and enable it but its not worth using the image looks horrible. pros 1440p 165hz looks amazing. gsync works. cons dp port cable sucks you may need to buy a vesa certified dp cable. Hdr sucks. for the price the monitor its really good.

Pros: Price Features: 165hz on DP 144hz on DVI and HDMI. Freesync (w freesync on can enable gsync on gsync capable video cards) Cons: Colors - cannot get them right (in my opinion) comes out at best a bit faded looking. Best to try to get the colors right via game or application or windows settings. HDR- everything looks washed out colors look better but washed out blurry look. Source button - annoying to change source other monitors clicking source a few times will switch the inputs but on this monitor you have to click source then use the volume buttons to navigate to which input you want then hit the menu button to select that input. A bit cumbersome and annoying. Overall: Decent monitor for the price some annoyances like trying to get the colors right and essentially unable to really utilize HDR. Everything else seems to work fine have had this monitor for almost 2 months now. The power plug is non us but if you have a monitor or power supply plug already just use that not a biggie.

Great for gaming, but not for photo/video work. 1440 is a major upgrade from 1080 and the high refresh rate is amazing. Stand is decent, not too much mobility but gets the job done and looks decent. The colors are okay if you take the time to tweak the color settings. Out of the box it doesn’t look good, but after taking the time to dial in the colors it works well for gaming. Do not buy this for the HDR, all it does is blow the saturation way up, like if the scale is 0 to 100, HDR cranks it up to 500. All in all, if you’re looking to upgrade your gaming experience it’s worth it, but look somewhere else for photo/video editing.

What people say about the power block is true, it does get pretty hot. What people say about the HDR is true too, its garbage and should be removed as a feature. The stand tends to lean the monitor downward and is not adjustable. This is a minor problem and easily Jerry rigged. However the monitor does get up to 165 FPS. The TN display is what all TN displays are. Garbage unless looked at, at the right angle. Great for gaming but acceptable at best for normal PC use. Whites tend to turn yellow if not looking at the screen at the right angle. Im only on day 3 of the monitor so just be wary. Ive given you an honest assessment as of its performance so far. I will be mounting this monitor in a semi-truck in a couple days. That will be a good torture test for the longevity of this monitor as many TV/monitors tend to not last long with all the vibration of being mounted in a vehicle. Will update review in a month if Amazon allows.

Great display for the price. Irrespective of some other reviews, HDR does work with this monitor (and looks fantastic) but only with an HDMI HDR capable cable. The specs for the monitor is Display Port 1.2, which is not HDR capable. The cable that comes with the monitor is DP so if you want HDR, youll need to get an HDR HDMI cable, enable HDR on the monitor via its setup menu, plus enable it in Windows (Control Panel -> Display Settings). However. I have two issues with HDR: 1) For some reason I have to turn HDR off and then back on everytime the monitor goes to sleep or powers off and back on, otherwise, HDR is off even though it shows on 2) The mouse cursor turns transparent when it changes to the I-beam cursor when entering text so it is hard to seen on white backgrounds (as most text entry areas are). This may be a driver issue but I havent been able to fix it.
