Monitor was great for the first couple weeks. Was playing some Vermintide 2 and upon entering a loading screen (black screen), I noticed a little green pixel. Stomach dropped as I soon realized it was a dead pixel, first Ive ever had on any monitor. I thought, "Hey, its only one pixel on a 2560x1440 monitor, Ill just deal with it. Went through the hassle of getting it and now I dont feel like re-packaging and sending it back right as I was starting to enjoy it". So skip ahead approximately 3~ weeks later (9/19/2018). Turn my PC on, board posts and I get my Gigabyte splash screen and I thought I saw something. I initially thought that the dead pixel had gotten bigger or something. Then I moved my head around and I noticed the original dead pixel. Stunned, I log into Windows and pull up a black screen, only to see 3 dead pixels, right in front of me. Not kidding you, I started bobbing my head around try to find more, when I look back to the left hand side of the monitor, I saw a 4th pixel, then after seeing that one, I literally witnessed in real-time, a pixel dying as I was looking at it. I then had a total of 5 dead pixels within a corner of a screen. I had it boxed up and dropped at the UPS store for a return within 20 minutes. This was my first MSI purchase ever, and itll be my last. Huge let down.

Id honestly avoid this product at all costs. Ive had more problems with using it than actual use. Ill explain why. When I first used the monitor, it bricked the entire system, locking it up every few seconds when using the mouse. Took me too much time to find out the solution to this problem, which was to update my AMD Graphic Drivers, and that fixed the problem. After I update my drivers, it tells me to update it again to like 18.10 or something, and that update bricked the system AGAIN, So i had to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them for the computer to function correctly. After a bit of usage, another problem came along and made the refresh rate to a solid 60 even when the computer still shows 144hz, but when I use my mouses scroll wheel its a solid 144hz again. The only positive thing I have to give is the picture quality on this monitor. Its really really good for $200. Overall, spend your money on another gaming monitor; youll thank yourself later.

Please let me start off by saying that I have been using a computer as my primary gaming platform for years and wanted to upgrade from my no-name QNIX 27 inch 1440p display. figured with the enormous amount of product reviews around these MSI displays that it was a smart choice, boy was I wrong. After about 10 trips back and forth to my garage as well as 2 trips into town I was finally able to secure my VESA mount to the display because MSI thought it would be a great idea to put the monitor stand mount right in the middle of where the VESA mount goes, whatever I overlooked that as I was finally ready to boot my computer back up and check out some of these display settings as well as the MSI Gaming OSD Ive read so much about........ turns out this display does not actually support that OSD so that was a let down, also turns out that no matter how much calibration you do, whether it be through windows directly, through the Nvidia app, or through the display itself no matter what you do the colors are washed out, simple changes such as turning response time from s off to normal or off to extreme also changes the color settings? why would the responsiveness of the panel change the color representation? I will be sending this one straight back and will continue my research because obviously MSI does not know how to make a quality display, maybe the MAG27CQ has better color representation and offers a better picture but this panel sure is not it, save your $450 and put it towards something nicer because my 2 year old QNIX 1440p 60hz TN panel looks much much better than this does and it most certainly should not.

I switched from a 24" Asus 120hz panel to this. The image is so blurry I cant play fps games on it. If you are one of the dummies who says "your eye cant see more than 24 fps" then go ahead and buy this monitor. If you can actually see whats happening around you and have the innate ability to interact with your environment in real time based on visual auditory input coupled with other immediate sensory feedback, then this is NOT the monitor for you. If you are old school and remember the buttery smooth response of CRT monitors, then look elsewhere. This monitor may advertise extremely low response time and refresh rate, but my last one was only 2ms response time with 120hz refresh and it was WAY faster. When walking around viewing detailed environments in full detail, such as BFV and other recent titles, everything goes blurry any time you move even slightly. This is totally unusable. Ive tried just about every setting on this monitor to get a smooth image. The games are running 150+ fps on my rig, so thats not the issue. The issue is that this monitor simply DOES NOT give the response and refresh rate advertised. Looking at ufo test site it looks terrible. My 120hz monitor right next to this is much smoother running the same testufo. I had high hopes, but after a week or two, I just cant take the blurry image. It gets me killed because the image isnt smooth when the action gets tough. Im very disappointed. ANYONE who can make a 32" or greater monitor with TRUE 144hz or higher and 1ms response time can name their price. None of the others out today do as well either. We are stuck with sub 30" monitors until something better comes along for serious gamers. If every single frame counts for you, and you know who you are, then do NOT buy this monitor.
