Pretty good. I use this for work (software). No issues with response times, bleed, or ghosting. Matte coating is nice and brightness is good. Curvature could be a little stronger, but thats subjective. My one complaint is about subpixel arrangement and clarity. Ive noticed that certain one-pixel white diagonal lines, like small bitmapped fonts displaying <<<>>> characters, tend to shift the perceived color from white to red or purple. I dont have this issue with my older apple thunderbolt display, and I could only explain the difference after taking some macro close up shots of the panels. The LGs pixels just arent quite as crisp for the same pixel density. But maybe thats what you get when buying a "cheaper" display like this one. Overall Im happy, but Id look more closely in person before buying another.

Ive had many monitors. I was on dual 32" flat monitors when one died and I thought Id try something new. I went with the CHG90 first, although the resolution of that monitor didnt fit my work at all (1080 high). So I returned that one and now have this 34UC80. Arrived in one piece, no dead pixels, no bleeding so far. My hope was to have dual monitors and I generally try to just double up on like monitors so they match up. Not sure about doubling up on this one though as it is wide. Two of these puppies side by side would be wider than Samsungs 49". Were talking around 64" wide. While my desk could handle it, Im not sure my eyes and neck could. Pros: - Color so far is decent. Its not the best IPS monitor Ive ever viewed, although things are fairly crisp. Blacks are washed a bit so not as good as say, a VA panel. - Easy connections. Ive owned a lot of Samsung monitors and they have plugs that are downward, which make it difficult to plug and unplug (especially that stupid DP pinch plug). These plugs are straight out, so very easy to use, although if you were wall mounting, you would need to account for that. - VESA compatible so my Amazon arms work great. - Really decent resolution, although I had to bump my dpi up to 125% to read the text comfortably. I do a lot of remote desktop work, so it was critical that I have something above 1080 so I could work more comfortably with multiple windows. - Almost as good as dual monitors. - Curve is really nice and it makes looking at the width a bit easier. - Stand is ok if you need to use it. Tilts and adjusts enough for most of what you would need. (I have an arm) Cons: - Little shorter than I would ideally have liked. These ultra-wide monitors are nice and all. I like the extra pixels for the most part, although they skimp on the height a bit. Coming from a 32" flat monitor, its a bit shocking how short this monitor it. - Dual setup would likely be overkill. - Takes a little bit longer to come out of sleep than I would expect. Acts like my dog getting up. - Had to manually create a custom nvidia display setting to do 75 refresh. I tried to think of more cons and really couldnt. So far, this is a decent monitor for the price. The 75 refresh is working ok, although Im not sure why I had to do the custom setup for it. Maybe its overclocked. Ill likely try a second one and see how the dual setup works out. Worst case scenario, neck strain trying to look around at all that screen space.
