Best 34inch gsync monitor so far. I used aw3418dw from dell and pg27uq from asus. LCD quality is better than aw3418dw but not better than pg27uq. Personally, Pg27uq is 10/10 point at 1000 nit HDR 9.2/10 at 350nit SDR. Aw3418dw is 7/10 at 250 nit SDR. 34gk950g is 8.5/10 at 400 nit. I received 100% perfect product. No dead pixcel, No screach, No strong edge light dimming. Only defact is product package box. It is torned down when it came to my home. Beside of that, It was perfect.

strengths: 120 Hz, g-sync, 1440p, and ultra wide weaknesses: does not have g-sync 2.0 and cost the cost will probably come down soon.. LG has a promotion on their website that lists the monitor for $200 cheaper editv1: now Amazon has it listed for $200 less than originally, where I bought it. Hopefully, they will refund me. editv2: Amazon recommends that I ship the monitor back for a refund, then buy a new one. How does that make sense? Answer - it doesnt. Shipping this huge monitor is a hassle and I also would go without a monitor.. regardless, Visa is super helpful and has a price protection service - so Visa will refund the price difference. The monitor is still amazing, no dead pixels, no issues. Satisfied.

Let me preface this by saying I do NOT play "twitch-reflex" style games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, etc. I cannot comment as to the upper end of things regarding pixel response times or ghosting. 1. Design/Looks/Useability : It looks great, period. Very thin bezel area, cool backlighting (though I wish it were a bit more configurable), and a relatively small footprint for the monitor type. I really only have one small gripe here, and it is the OSD. Its not TOO bad, but it does take some trial and error to understand how the navigation works. 2. Picture quality : Though this version lacks HDR, the colors are gorgeous. I have a small to moderate amount of IPS glow, but it isnt so bad that I feel like it really is an issue. Ultimately it is an acceptable tradeoff for what you get otherwise versus VA. 3. G-sync : Worked perfectly once I turned it on. This is my first adaptive sync monitor of any kind, and ... wow ... what a difference. No dead pixels, no scratches, and a lowish amount of IPS glow...so I think I made out ok. One small gripe I do have is the size of the included displayport cable : it is only 3 long, and with a monitor that takes up so much space, I think thats a little underwhelming. They certainly could have bumped it up to 4.5 or 6 feet and it would have been a much more comfortable fit. Anyway, summary : If youre on the fence, I say give it a whirl as the worst thing that could happen is you have to return it because you got a dud.

Ive now had this a few months. It is gorgeous. I have been playing Assassins Creed Odyssey on it and it is stunning. The Nano IPS is just great to look at. And I am picky. I made and destroyed Gordon Ramseys 9 foot head on Master Chef Jr., Alec Baldwin uses my vintage superhigh tech $13,000 microphone I made for him on Match Game (we helped the transmitter company get an Oscar), Iron Monger got blown up in my physical work on Iron Man, and my last client was the Chairman of one of the Big 3 networks developing a new game show I have a smoking PC which drives this well. 9th gen I7, MSI MEGZ390 ACE motherboard, MSI 8GB RTX 2080 gaming X Trio, Samsung 970 PRO SSD, Be Quiet case, fans and PSU At 2K resolution, I have been playing at 100 HZ and it is like I am in a movie theater. Non ultrawides stink compared to this. We also have an 27" Asus Rog PG279QZ (the newer version) which is also amazing but squeezes all games that are ultrawide. I did not realize how I played Witcher 3 that way until I did a side by side. Holy Sh....!!!! But that PC also has an MSI Armor 6 GB 1060. It struggles a bit to drive this LG at 100 HZ and at 2K. The vibrancy, crispness on websites, documents etc. is also great. Edge to edge. I still have to set up Windows Snap for splitting the window or LGs software that I think this comes with. I still use it like a wide monitor, versus the split screen, quarter screen or 3 split setup that can be done. Red dot, Green dot etc. If you see one in the middle it means you set up the gamers targeting mode. On this LG it was fairly obvious I hit that because you have to choose it through the On Screen Display. The Asus ROG we hit on accident and said "What the ?...! for a while then realized what it was. Learn about Nano IPS on this LG. I do not want to get it wrong, but it means it has a wider color gamut/range/chart this LG can hit. It is not an OLED. Do not compare it to an OLED. It is unfair to the product as there IS NO SUCH THING AS A HIGH REFRESH RATE, 2K OLED ULTRAWIDE. PERIOD! I watched some 8K YouTube videos and WOW! People who say you cannot make out high resolutions are wrong, wrong , WRONG! Look at 8k Peru and look at the hairs along the eyelid of a leopard and then look closer and see the baby hairs underneath. The actual hair under the hair is visible. I have the new RTX 2080 with G-Sync, this version has G-sync. I never saw a demo of what the 2 do together. I crossed my fingers and hoped it would be cool. HOLY COW! We are still playing with settings (and mainly using NVIDIAs control panel), but the G-sync seemed to connect automatically. I had no idea what screen tear was until I had this and turned it off. It is flat out astonishing. Assassins Creed has you running and spinning alot and moving up and down and sideways on buildings close up.. With it on , its like moving liquid glass. With it off I can totally see the screen trying to sync up at times. Someone told me that 100 + Hz and Gsync did not seem like a big deal until they tried under 100 Hz and no Gsync again and could not stand it. They were so right. IPS glow. Tough one. This is a IPS curved screen. No matter what, there is going to be some guidance of backlight that makes for less than pure black at the edged. Soooooooo...I saw pictures of IPS glow. It is totally real! And it is totally NOT....um noticeable most of the time. I cannot see it at all 98% of the time (could be 90%-100%) and it depends on what you are looking at. When the room lights are low AND the video game character goes into a super dark cave....BOOM THERE IT IS! a lightening along the edges. It is pretty mild though. And that is in a pitch black scene. Other than that, I cannot even tell it is there. Other reviews, if Ultrawide screen seems odd or does not work for you, that is a review of the Ultrawide concept. This monitor does it well. There are a lot of things I started to realize work better with Ultrawide. Websites view differently, videos fit better, other stuff

I purhased this monitor over the christmas holiday from Adorama Camera. Unfortunately I had to return it due to some dead pixels right in the middle of the screen. Adorama Cameras customer service was top notch. Returned, no questions asked.

I got a deal on a used monitor. However, Id consider purchasing this monitor at a higher price. This monitor checks all the boxes. Considering that the 144hz version is substantially more expensive, Im okay missing out on 24 frames (in some games) if it means everything is 4k. Colors look fantastic, the curved monitor provides an immersive feel. On top of that, the glow on the backside is pretty neat, and Im not the biggest fan of RBG lighting. If youre considering this monitor and can get it for less than 800, Id say its an instant buy. Couldnt recommend highly enough. The negative reviews on this page seem to be related to dead pixels.. I get the heartburn related to a faulty screen, but the product really is fantastic as long as you can receive it undamaged.

This monitor is great so far.. There is very minimal IPS glow, even less than I expected, and no BLB. The colors look great and the picture is outstanding. At the price these goes on sale for now, I would say they are a steal compared to the previous gen.
