LG 32MA70HY-P 32-Inch Full HD IPS Monitor with Display Port and HDMI Inputs

I bought a "large" monitor about 10 years ago. It was a KDS2600w (26" LCD). It was awesome and it still works perfectly. This monitor is a HUGE improvement over the KDS. It is not much larger but gosh darn, monitor quality has improved greatly during the past 10 years. Everything is beautiful. Photos, videos, and, games all look amazing. Granted, I updated my graphics card also but dang. Its like I went from 2008 to 2018. Which did actually happen. The gloss screen is the only reason I gave this a 4 star. I generally use my computer at night so it is not a big issue. It is an issue during daytime use. You could use this monitor as a mirror. There is a market of products to make a gloss screen matte. Products are available but they are expensive. OH! Also, this larger monitor uses less than half the power of my old monitor!

Clean, crisp picture at a very affordable price. Before this I was using a 32 inch Samsung television connected to my PC with a HDMI cable. When using the HDTV text and colors looked off it was at 1920x1080 but cleared up considerably at a lower resolution (1600x900); this monitor looks GREAT at 1920x1080! I am using this on a Ubuntu Linux machine with onboard video connected using display port. I am not a gamer so I dont know how it would do with a powerful video card that pushed high frame rates but it does great for web surfing/desktop publishing/streaming HD videos. I didnt even put the software/driver disc in so I cant comment on the advanced "split screen" features. The adapter that connects the monitor to the base could be made a little better, it shakes a little and the monitor is a little wobbly. It also uses an oddly shaped wall wart for power, there should be enough room in the bottom of the case to put the power supply inside and use a regular power cable but they didnt take that route. The power adapter is so large it will easily block at least one if not two outlets on a standard power strip. Those two issues are the only reason I did not give 5 stars.
