1980 x 1080 isnt going to be good for gaming, photo editing, etc. But it does a good job for "paperwork". I can split the screen in half and with a dual monitor setup have conceptually 4 screens up at the same time. I have purchased 7 of these monitors. #6 in about 4 weeks came up with a horizontal line about 1/2" thick just below centerline that renders that part of the screen unreadable. Contacted customer support and they said they would send me labels to return to them for service. 6 weeks later I called back because they still had not sent a label. I ordered another monitor (exact model), to use while the repair was going on. Figuring to put the repaired one in service when needed. The brand new monitor (#7), when installed has a blank, black screen. The powerlight is on, WIndows recognizes the monitor is present. But no picture. Another oddity: The power supplies on the two monitors are not the same. One is a brick-style with about 9-foot reach. This one is a cord straight to the transformer with about a 5 foot reach. 2 out of 7 monitors being bad is just shy of 30% bad machines. Thats not a good track record at all. And LGs customer service has yet to prove themselves. Even if they repair the monitor, it has taken way too long. *** Update - Changing from 1 start to 3 stars. On #7 monitor, I switched to the power supply from #6, and changed from the HDMI port to the DP port and it now works. I still dont understand why with the HDMI port filled I could not get an on-monitor menu. But nevertheless the monitor works as described above. Still keeping to 3 starts because it took an hour and a half to do a 10-minute job since the monitor doesnt do everything it is supposed to.

This is an excellent monitor for the price. I was in the market for a large monitor. I only wanted to have one big display, and the resolution of HDTVs was not crisp enough to read the text on the screen. I tried a 42" vizo 1080i, and a 39" samsung. I saw this monitor on amazon, and I was weary about the size. I wanted somthing pretty big for the realestate. Before I get into the monitor details, I will explain my set up. I sit in front of my monitor, about 4 ft away. and the monitor sits on a IKEA desk. Its a pretty basic setup. It is located in a dark(er) corner of my TV room so I dont have to worries about a lot of extra light. In this case it is both a blessing and a curse. Ill start with the things I like about this monitor. It is VERY bright, the whites are stark white, no yellow or blue tinting, which I like. I am a pretty good judge of color and shades. Im sensitive to flickering and monitors that are too bright. Although Im not very savvy about refresh rates or response times. To me the refresh rate and response time is fine, its not sluggish or slow at all. Now for the things I dont like: I had to tweak the settings so that it wasnt so bright, and still its quite bright. My desk is wobbly and so is this monitor, the slightest wiggle will be noticeable, the stand seems steady but because it is in the middle, wobbliness is noticeable. Finally the middle of the screen seems to be ever so slightly brighter than the outside edges. But this could just be my perception. Overall I would highly recommend this panel. I wish they would make bigger ones 40" or larger. I also have not tried any games on it yet. Only a few Photoshop projects.

Great monitor for the price. I actually got mine for around $184 around Christmas time. Simply cannot beat that price for a 32" monitor. Beautiful design, vibrant colors. Love the multiple options to change my screen configuration and different screen viewing modes. I really like the Reader 2 setting as it dims the screen and creates more of a paperback look that is very easy on the eyes when you spend a lot of time in front of the screen like I do. The surface of the screen is glossy and there is a little bit of reflection, but as long as you dont have a bright light or window directly behind you, it wont be a bother. I plan to purchase a couple more down the road.

I dont usually say awesome Gota make an exception. Awesome. I am visually impaired, and need a huge super sharp monitor to have any chance of it being useful in combination with my screen magnification software (Zooomtext). I was using a 1080p HD Hanns-G 30" monitor that, from the beginning, seemed washed out a blurry. I had always chalked that up to over-sizing the monitor and lack of better resolution. So, when that monitor began to crap out, I bought a highly rated 28" 4K Samsung monitor. It was a little better, but not much, and was still in 1080p HD. I took my computer to my local PC tech with the intent of upgrading the video card. Something that would be compatible with 4K UHD. He assured me it would not make any difference, and that in his opinion the image was already very sharp. He said I was stuck with that because it was my Zoomtext software and not the resolution of the monitor, or the signal being sent by the computer. So, I figured I should return the expensive 4K UHD monitor, and look for the biggest 1080p HD monitor I could find at a reasonable price. I picked this LG 32MA68HY-P for its more glossy screen which I know is better for my bad vision. Other factors were the great reviews, the price, the multitudes of connections, and the fact that the connections are easy to see and access being flush on the back of the monitor rather than the usual practice of upside down and vertical where you cant see them or get to them without being a contortionist. I also really like the onscreen control set up which is by far the easiest, most ergonomic, and intuitive Ive ever seen. This monitor also has a setting for "weak color vision". Again, for someone with central vision blindness, my color vision stinks, and this setting does seem to help a little. Other low vision features include100 x 200 VESA mounting capability (so I can put it on a desk mount swingarm to get the screen right up to my nose), and blue reduction reader more (so far I have to found that to be useful). My one complaint so far? For some reason the visible portion of the screen stops 1/2" to 3/4" from the bezel, reducing the effective screen size from 31.5" diagonal to 29" diagonal. I sure hope this is just an adjustment issue that I cant find in the owners manual. I otherwise love this monitor, and Id be really disappointed to find out this problem is either normal or a defect requiring it to be returned. Update. The problem with the "black border" turned out to be a corrupted video card in my computer. Solid 5 stars. Best monitor ever! Again, if you are visually impaired, seriously consider this monitor. Ill update again if I do have any problems.

This is size or this price? I just could not afford more and at the same time was really nervous. I was anticipating a monitor with no real pixel difference than the average HDMI TV of the same size. (Those tend to be cheaper btw) I decided to chance it because after a few years of HDTVs I was getting tired of graphics cards and games clashing over it. So back to monitors I went with trepidation. I was really impressed with the size and when I plugged it in my thought was "hey, nice graphics, certainly better than my HDMI TV but not SUPER impressive." It was clear and pixels were good but not so good to throw a party over. All in all I was surprised at the quality, it was better and I was quite happy with it. THEN I found the button on the bottom was more than just power. It was like a tiny joystick that brought up a number of options, settings and displays features. I turned off power saving, ran picture to the sharpest (it had been on the lowest setting) and basically ran all the monitor settings up and MAN, I was blown a way. Crisp pixels like a new hundred dollar bill and just great graphics. I am beyond impressed. I still have not used all the features, I know it has split screen and other things but those dont matter to me all that much. If you want a good PC monitor though, here you go.

Very hard to find glossy monitors these days. I was forced to settle on this as upgrade from a 5yr old HP 25in 25xi IPS monitor...just wanted something bigger. I also have 2x HP 23xi monitors on either side of the large monitor for a 3x monitor setup on my L shaped desk. I wanted to dump the 3x monitor setup and go with one large 32-40in glossy IPS 4K display....however, glossy 4k screen just do not seem to exist. Plenty of 4k Tvs out there, but 42in is too big to fit in my little corner...only a 40in Samsung 4k display was the closest i could find that would just barely fit, was semi-glossy and 4k, but not IPS and was also $800. Also, Tvs are not the greatest for computer monitors. Stumbled across this LG 32in monitor and a few youtube vids on it...largest almost glossy IPS display i could find, only 1080p still, but for $200..cheaper then I paid for my old HP 25xi. Glossy is technically "better" cause the matte finish diffuses the pixels and thus blurrs them a bit. (Google search and u will find a graphic that proves this). Glossy give better clarity and sharpness. The downside is the possibility of reflections. That is not an issue for me as there is no light source in my dark bedroom that would cause such issues. I have seen excellent looking matte displays, but compare side by side that and a glossy one, glossy wins me over for the clarity everytime. This LG is no full(100%) Glossy, its "semi- glare" as LG calls it. It has a very slight anti-glare coating on the LCD when compared to my HP 25xi. I would say this LG is 90% glossy. It is defeinlty far more glossy than my HP 23xi matte monitors. This LG monitor, out of the box on Display Port, looked terrible. After adjusting the settings to my liking, it looks great. The color tone is a tad "warm" even when set to cool mode. Whites arent quite the crisp bright white tone i prefer, but quite acceptable. Color gammut is a bit lacking. This is no professional display, so that is to be expected. (My Dell Precision 5510 display is amazing, but its a 4k 15in display that is infact a Pro calibrated and accurate lcd panel.) The menu system is easy enough to use. Joystick thing takes some getting used to. I recommend u install the LG driver and color profile. I had to manually select the driver via Device Manager in Win 10, the setup.exe did not work. LG also has OSD software u can install that allows you to adjust some of the monitors settings in the OS. But I find adjusting the setting directly on the monition better and some settings are not in the software. I found u do need the software installed and running in order for the advanced 6 color adjustment to function on the monitor. The Super Res feature i like. It sharpens up the display really well. Just as sharp as the sharpest setting on the HP 25xi. Interesting though, when u disable the Super Res setting, and use the normal Sharpen setting, even at 100%, looks dull. The Auto power off feature, doesnt work as I had thought. Expected it to mean it would auto power off after set time when it was in standby mode....not when in use. 4hrs of use and it displays its Power save auto shut off message. Disabled that. It has an annoying white led on the bottom just above the joystick button. It flashes 3 blinks then 1 fast, when in standby. The "Power LED" setting is set to OFF, however, this only means it turns off the LED when the display is on and active. In my dark bedroom at night, the blink is annoying, so I have to remember to physically power off the monitor, or put a piece of black tape over the led. Though, the light bleeds through the joystick button hole. Minor quibble. Refresh rate/response time setting, Off, Low, Middle, High. I cant tell any difference in Off through Middle settings, but High, there seems to be a slight flicker or shudder to videos. Lg recommends u leave it on Middle setting. There are no built in speakers, but an audio out jack that u can connect speakers to. U can control volume with the monitor. ( I have a dedicated sound card and a 2.1 Creative speaker set connected via optical...so, dont care about sound from monitor.) Stand is a tad wobbly. I dont use the built in USB hub. Overall, I do like it. welcome the large size. Even up close while sitting at my desk, 2-3 feet away, I cant see any pixels. 1080p is a tad low res for a large display though. icons are a bit larger than they need to be. Sure, its not a spectacular as a large 4k HDR would be in its place, but for the price....best your gonna get. Will do until i find a large glossy 4k IPS monitor.

Was a nice monitor while it lasted but unfortunately it failed within 60 days after I hooked it up. LG has given me a runaround and now says that they cant repair it and that replacement has to be "approved". They cant tell me when it will be "approved" and said that I should be "patient". Less than happy with their bureaucratic customer service that doesnt answer questions and changes the story every time I call.

It is a good buy if you are conscious of what you are paying for. I had it for couple days now and mainly used to mirror my MacBook air so I have a bigger screen for videos and reading. Also, I use it as a second split screen when I write so I can have references on the screen and type my paper on my laptop. I have encountered the resolution problem as occasionally there are old PDF scan documents and it is unclear on this screen, but still readable on my Macbook, but I am aware of it so I dont need to be disappointed like others. Make sure to read those numbers before you buy:)

Recently, I started playing local multiplayer games (Tales of Berseria) with my wife on my computer. For us, it is much more convenient to play these kind of games using controllers, sitting a fair distance away from the computer just like one would do with multiplayer console games. This was when I realized that my 20-inch monitor was too small. Her eyesight is good enough not to mind, but I found myself having to concentrate a little bit too hard to recognize small features on the map, and would frequently miss items and treasures. Playing these kind of games is supposed to be a relaxing experience for casuals like us! At first, I was worried about the resolution of the 32-inch monitor. Would the pixels show up visibly when Im sitting at my desk? Turns out, surprisingly, that it isnt a problem at normal viewing distance. Another worry I had was whether or not the monitor would be too large when Im sitting at my desk. You can see the relative size of the monitor compared to the keyboard and mousepad in the picture -- its probably the perfect size for me. And finally, its very inexpensive compared to a 32-inch with higher resolution. Ive spent a fair amount of time now up close and far away, and the viewing is comfortable in both cases.

I bought 2 and 1 broke in less than 6 months. LG made me take it to a company to fix and I have been without the monitor for 7 weeks. LG customer service is terrible. Its located in the Philippines and they will do nothing to support the customer.
