Buyer beware. I thought this would be a great choice and maybe for others it will be great but for my purposes it was not a good fit. I wanted to use this as a display for my Macbook Air 13". The resolutions between this ultrawide display and my Macbook were not compatible at all (LG ULTRWIDE 2560x1080 | MACBOOK 1920x1080) PRODUCTIVITY/GENERAL USE: The screen was obviously stretched out and hardly useable for me. Everything was distorted and looked weird. It seems that if i had a computer or PC with a different resolution it would be fine but just not what i needed. Colors and quality seemed okay, not great but okay, if not for the distortion and stretching. I definitely want to get something more deeper blacks and more accurate colors as i do a lot of photo/video editing. ASUS Ive heard have great color accuracy and I think I will be going in that direction. CONSOLE GAMING: Played both Nintendo Switch and PS4 on this screen. Distortion was not dearly as extreme as it was with my Apple Macbook but still noticeable stretched (though it was minimal, I am very particular with these things and so for me, i was very noticeable, perhaps others it will not matter as much). Besides my that slight stretching both consoles performed great. Nothing spectacular that I was not already getting on my TV but still good. I would recommend this for casual console gamers and those with computers that have proper resolution compatibility with a 2560x1080 display. Just looked up what youll be using it with and see if itll work!

Ordered this for my office at work. First impression: It seems to be a nice monitor. Im not using it for gaming at work, obviously, but it is quite bright and the speakers are louder than I had expected. I had to turn the brightness down to about 50%. Being an ultra-wide, its about the size of one and a half regular wide-screen monitors, which gives just enough room to have two windows open side by side and not have to flip between windows all the time. One thing Id like to point out, however, is that the "virtually borderless display" only looks that way when the monitor is turned off, because there is an extended layer over top of the screen. When the screen is on, there is about a half inch boarder on the top and sides. The product image does show the border correctly, but the description is misleading. Just some marketing BS, basically. I wondered if perhaps the image was incorrect, but its not. Just want to make sure anyone reading this is aware of this and isnt fooled by the description. Still looks like a nice monitor, as long as the border isnt an issue for you. It isnt for me, or Id have looked for another one in the first place, just based on the images.

My wife bought me an inexpensive (~$200) Sceptre gaming monitor for my birthday. I hadnt asked for one nor was I looking but when I pulled it out of the box, I realized, yeah I want one. Unfortunately, that one was broken and was no longer available for sale. So I spent a week shopping for something similar in the low to mid $200s to replace it. I found this jewel. Man, I love this thing. Read some reviews that said it didnt play well with Macs. Nope, I plugged it in to the HDMI port of my 5 year old MacBook Pro and it lit right up at full res and ported sound straight out to the speakers. The color and clarity are wonderful and I even did some light gaming that was immensely enjoyable because I could see so much more of the playing field with great clarity. 75Hz seem fine for me - no flicker that I can tell. I just love it and hope it lasts a long time! Gave 4 stars only because it has just one button (power) - you have to use software to adjust all the monitor settings.

Do not buy this monitor for its HDR. It is capable, but does not produce nice looking HDR content. This is my 2nd LG 21:9 monitor. And it proves to be a great value. Do not expect to be blown away from the picture quality - however it is more than passable for a non-pro user. The software on my past LG monitor also seemed to be better. For normal content consuming and casual gaming, I strongly recommend this product... Keep in mind, many games do not support 21:9 Aspect ratios

The audio is terrible. My surface pro 6 has better audio then this monitor so whatever you do dont get it because of the built-in speakers....they are not going to save you any money because youll want to buy a separate pair of speakers asap trust me. Its so bad that it bothers me to even listen to spoken youtube videos. The montors power button and menu controls are a bit weird, but not much of an issue. Other than that I like it :) Note: If you have a surface pro youll need to get a mini display - display port cable, a min - hdmi will not work with this monitor for some reason.

For the price, this is a great monitor. Picture quality is excellent as is the menu system (not always the case for monitors like this). Works really well with the 2015 Macbook Pro that it is connected to - easy setup and the resolution automatically adjusted to the ultra-wide format. Only couple of complaints are that the bezel is actually quite large (~0.5 inch around the entire screen), the stand is cheap plastic and the monitor will shake slightly if the desk rumbles at all and it is unfortunately not height adjustable. Still a really fantastic screen for the money and I highly recommend it.
