I love this monitor. It looks exactly like advertised. There is almost no bezel and the picture quality is crystal clear. It even boasts a excellent response time for an IPS monitor. The only complaint I have about the monitor its self is that it will occasionally (around once a month) get a dead pixel which a pixel fixing program will not fix, but every time it has happened it was fine the next day. The stand on the other hand is utter garbage. Do not mount this excellent monitor on the flimsy piece of plastic it comes with or it will fall over. If you buy this monitor a VESA mount is a must. I knew this before buying this monitor and that is why I am still giving this 4 stars.

The stand is total garbage - the screws are too short and you cannot attach it. Without a stand, you cannot use the monitor at all, it wont stand up!@!@ What a disappointment., Dont buy until they fix this. its too bad, i ordered it overnight from amazon and returned it after 20 mins of frustration - probably a $75 loss for amazoin for selling such a bad product

STOP!!! Read!! Amazon will not refund your money when you see these monitors are bad. I received 5 that had huge lines through them and amazon will not refund my $500. They tell me they have not scanned it every day and it’s been almost a month. Watch out amazon and this seller is terrible. Trust me read the following. Do not buy! Especially from amazon. If you can get one that works it’s a great monitor. I had to buy 6 or 7 in order to get 1 that works the other one I have is defective but is tolerable. If you buy this if have this look close when you have a dark screen on and you will see dotted lines all through the monitor. Once you see them on the black screen you will see them all the time. I still have one defective and they won’t replace it you have to keep buying them and hope you get a better one which I have not. Kind of disappointing for an almost $500 monitor. See picture

This was purchased to accompany my Macbook Pro when Im working at home and I searched high and low for options that would match the quality of the display in the laptop before I settled on this unit. The picture is beautiful, bright, and the colors are accurate. My main use is staring at text in code editors and terminals and the difference is painfully obvious when compared to my old 1080p panel. I really cant even look at that other screen anymore without being disappointed.

EDIT: After binging Stranger Things, I see the IPS Glow now. Impossible to unsee once you notice it. I recommend keeping a small/dim light on during nighttime viewing or lowering the monitors brightness to around the ~50 mark to alleviate this issue. That aside- still a great display. The IPS panel in this display is top-notch. At least on my particular screen, Ive never had issues with image retention or backlight bleed. Out-of-the-box, the color calibration was the literal best I had ever experienced, and even non-4K content really pops on this. (The internal scaler seems to handle 1800p, 1440p, and 1080p very, very well. For gamers who cant run everything at native 4K, dont worry: you have options!) The only issue is the stand, which is flimsy and frankly feels godawful. Im going to replace it with a VESA mount at the first possible junction.

This is a gorgeous monitor. Colors are fantastic and the difference from 1080p to 4k is a huge difference. Pros Design aesthetics Great Picture quality Reasonable size power brick Price Cons Stand is inadequate

Let me tell you, this screen is beautiful and the quality of picture is second to none! I bought this for my Ps4 Pro and O....M....G. Games look amazing! Forget about HDR no need here. This monitor gets plenty bright with very accurate colors. I use this with Black Ops 4 for PS4 Pro and works extremely well.

I bought (2) to replace (2) 1080P 32" monitors for CAD drafting. The only complain is why I did not change sooner. I only use 2560x1440 res, far from 4K, but already makes a big different. It shows more than bigger screen size, thin lines are now visible without zoom-in. The built quality and interface are excellent!!

Complete waste of money. Monitor continually looses sync with Windows 10 and cant display in high resolution. Microsoft could only patch the problem. LG refused to provide a refund and Amazon basically said "not my problem."

Im planning to get a new desktop computer and decided to get a new monitor as the first step. Ive been using a 21" Acer 1080 x 1920 monitor at home (which this monitor will replace) and a HP DreamColor monitor at work. The difference in quality between this monitor and the ones I have been using is like night and day. In addition to having a beautiful 4K display, the user interface on this monitor is great. Instead of having an array of buttons it has a single combination joystick/button on the bottom turns the monitor on and off and allows you to navigate the menus and control the sound level. The menus are very well designed and intuitive and include several pre-programmed modes such as reading, photo, cinema, and several game modes. At first I used photo mode for everything but now Im primarily using the reader mode. The reader mode has a reddish cast and looks relatively unattractive at first but Ive found it to be easier on my eyes for day-to-day computer work. The DisplayPort input works great with my HP notebook which supports 4K video out over DP. The HDMI input works great with my Acer laptop but unfortunately that notebook only supports 1080 x 1920. The monitor looks great too. The display is surrounded by a very thin aluminum edge, with a small black section with an LG logo at the bottom. Overall a really great monitor. BTW, I bought an open-box monitor which was available via Prime for about $120 less than the best new offer. It looks like the monitor was returned because a screw was missing from the base which made it unstable. I bought a replacement M4 screw at Home Depot which completely fixed the problem. The DP cable was also missing but I wasnt too concerned about that considering how much I saved. I bought a new one from Amazon for about $10. Still more than $100 savings for an otherwise perfect monitor.
