Excellent monitor for the price. I currently use this with my Xbox one x and the color and clarity look great. Just be sure to enable HDMI ultra HD deep color on the monitor. Within the settings one the Xbox, also make sure that ycc:4:2:2 is checked to ensure 4K output at 60hz.

At first I loved it and thought it was the best bang for your buck. But lately I have only had it for a few months and its already starting to flicker on me...not sure why if anyone has had this issue or if the seller knows whats going on it would help greatly. But I am scared it is already bugging out our about to fail on me....but before all the small issues this monitor is great I just hope everything doesnt fail on me. Update its now getting worst. contacting customer service...

This first one had a cluster of dead pixels right in the middle of the display. Otherwise it looked really good so I asked Amazon for a replacement which they sent out right away. The second display was very dim even on 100% brightness. I searched the net and there appeared to be a problem with Windows 10 and LG displays being dim after an update. I spent 3-4 trying every the internet said to change the brightness via color management. Nothing seemed to work, but it did flicker a little here and there less dim. I eventually plugged my PS4 Pro in to half split the problem and it looked dark as well. My PC works fine on my 4k TV. I wanted to like this monitor because it did look good minus the pixel issue on the first one. But it was too risky for $300+ to keep it. Asked for a refund and send both monitors back.

I bought it to replace the HD Cinema Display monitor that Ive used for years because Im working in 4K. I edit on Priemiere and Avid, sometimes FCP, and in Premiere needed playback for 4K that wouldnt stutter and would be truer to resolution. Problem is I still occasionally do get some stutter but that could be my video cards (2015 MacBook Pro Retina 16 gb, AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB), plus seem to get it more working in longer sequences which is often a memory issue. I have used the same monitor at a workplace setting operating on a late model MacPro and dont experience all the same playback issues in Premiere but cant say that its been 100% frame accurate. For most uses though, this is a serious step up from an HD monitor. In Avid, where 4K is not so great anyway, I am very happy with the display of my timeline - so much crisper I dont need glasses (haha!). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 4K monitor, though wouldnt want this as my "final" monitor in any kind of online situation as Id need a truer non stutters playback, and color grade, professional monitor.

** Review without FreeSync ** You arent going to find many great, or even good, 4k monitors at this price range. But at this price range, this is a great monitor for multiple screen configurations (2-4) for work that does not involve editing 4k video or playing/testing 4k games. Additionally, I wouldnt recommend this monitor for enjoying 4k videos. Although it is doable, you may experience motion sickness. There is a lot of screen tearing with 4k gameplay, and action videos get very blurry, to the point of causing motion sickness. However, if you need multiple monitors for coding/data work, web design, still image editing, sound prodution, and basically any other task that requires multiple monitors but does not involve working with 4k video then this is the most efficient investment you can make, when on sale - and I have seen this monitor on sale many times. I use this with a 4-screen configuration, and I have a 5th gaming monitor.

this monitor is GORGEOUS. Ok thats the good thing, but it doesnt matter how gorgeous it is, if it wont stay connected to the input devices. I have it connected to two: a ROKU box, and my macbook Pro. Both are connected through HDMI. I set up both the ROku and my MacBook pro, both worked fine. I always leave the ROKU box connected, but unplug my computer to take it with me. One day i plugged the computer in and it didnt show on the monitor, i got the "no signal detected, power save mode" warning. I wondered if maybe I had a bad cable, so I switched the cables with the Roku box. Nope. I worried maybe the graphics card had blown out or something. I rebooted, and when it came back up it was on the monitor. I hoped it was a one-time thing, but nope. The next day I was watching Netflix and there was a pause between me picking a program, and BOOM that one went out too. Since other people are complaining about the same thing, I can only blame the monitor. I hope I dont have to send it back, this thing is so beautiful and i got it at asuch a great price.

I use this as my primary monitor for gaming, work, and leisure. For work, I can split the screen with 4 applications and their perfectly legible and usable. For gaming, the refresh rate was a concern, but its perfect in games with no visible ghosting in the 6 months or so Ive used it. In work and leisure applications, scrolling vertically (like a web page or code), you see some ghosting as a result of the 5ms response time. Yes, the stand is wobbly, but its secure and generally not an issue as long as your desk is sure footed (my cats annoy me by rubbing their faces on it). Max brightness is a bit low, which is fine for me because I keep it pretty low anyway. However, high contrast situations might be challenging for some. Like the window right behind my monitor with daylight pouring in is when I need the max. If you like your monitors eye searingly bright, you should probably look elsewhere. Sound is functional but I havent really used it outside of accidentally changing my audio output source.

Main complaints are: *the screen seems somewhat loose. Specifically, if you push just under the top bezel, the screen pushes in too far, and if you push the corners it makes a slight popping sound. *only 1 year warranty. Go ahead and skip the SquareTrade warranty, although you get a significant discount through Amazon, but you must put it into your cart at the same time you buy the monitor. You CANNOT go back and buy through Amazon later, confirmed via ST service. But go ahead and get LG Premium Care for an extra 3 years protection. Its $50.00 but much better than ST. Wish it had a remote and more physical adjustments. Ill have to buy some more stuff separately, which could add $150. Joystick for settings is nice but will add wear. Picture quality is superb. Clarity and colors are stunning. Great anti-glare coating. No dead pixels or significant bleeding at all. Colors start very balance and mostly neutral, maybe slightly saturated, which is just right for some good movie watching or some gaming or just normal use. Graphic designers may need to turn down color a bit. There are some ghosting/response time issues, but I dont notice it unless I am doing a ghosting test. Maybe if you do first person shooters, avoid.

IPS color and clarity with 5ms response time. Sturdy build. No dead pixels. Easy joystick control. I ordered the 27UD58-B but received a 27UD60-B, which has HDCP 2.2. Pleased about that! Based on specs, I dont see that more expensive 27" monitors deliver value commensurate with their higher prices. It took me two days to decide on this LG! My first 4K monitor and it seems excellent with 1080p content. Text is very clear. I upped the magnification to 200% in Win 10. Works well with my MSI RX480 graphics card using displayport, and has FreeSync for gaming in an i7-8700K system. Dont know what real 4K content looks like yet. Ordered an LG 4K bluray drive which ships April 08, 2018. I found out that the local video store rents 4K bluray disks for the same as any bluray. Its bright enough, but 300 candellas might be better than the 250.

UPDATE: Monitor fell off of stand, due to the two machine screws backing out over time, because I sure as hell remember tightening them down. The monitor fell off the stand onto my desk and then broke the display. $275 down the drain because of terrible job by LG on the mounting. I highly recommend using a Loctite or other system for making sure the two screws dont back out. LG you really did not think this design through. ------------------------------------------------- Looks good, about nearly as good as my Dell 4K UHD 2415 monitor. Not exactly as paper-like feeling as the Dell, but close enough, esp for much less cost. Note: do not use a game mode that is available in this LG monitor, if you want proper display resolution with a Macbook Pro. I had set it to a game or custom mode, and I noticed alot of text font aliasing after looking closely. I was like how could this be so much worse than my Dell. Then I went to a Photo or Reader mode in this LG control panel and the aliasing disappeared. Now its close to the Dell which is as good as one can get.
