Unfortunately I did get what I paid for. Reading majority of the review I was cautiously optimistic given the price range. Long story short, when I received the monitor it worked flawlessly for about one month. The screen soon began to turn black with power and the back light both being on. It also developed a strange hum coming from the back of the monitor. Unplugging the monitor and plunging it back in after some time seemed to solve the problem short term, but now it does not display anything no matter what I try. This seems to be a prevailing issue Ive read in other reviews and I was just hoping to be the lucky one. I think its more or less hit or miss with this monitor. Will be looking to spend a little more for a better screen in the future. BUYER BE WARE....

Reliability: 0/10 I used my monitor for 10 months about every 2-3 days for a few hours at a time. During the 10th month, while browsing jalopnik.com (howdy fellow gearheads) the monitor just went grey on me and proceeded with a buzzing noise. If I disconnect the power cord and wait 15 minutes, sometimes it comes back for another 5-30 minutes. But the buzzing greyscreen always returns. Does not matter if the HDMI cable is connected or not. No visible picture, just a backlit grey screen and irritating buzz. Requested replacement via 1 year warranty. Usability: 7/10 First time getting an Ultrawide monitor, as its an irregular non 16:9 it makes it incompatible in fullscreen with resolution specific apps/programs (i.e. games or fixed dimension UIs), and you have to use them from a windowed mode which is quite awkward. Additionally, due to being so wide and skinny, it just seems awkward. I have found it nice when working in a few windows, I can get three document width apps up, mind you theyre quite small vertically. Picture Quality: 8/10 The contrast and brightness was decent, but not comparable to my retina Macbook Pro or 4K LG monitor. I have a 34" curved 16:9 LG at work. Will be buying another to replace this monitor.

I purchased one of these monitors 6 months ago and loved it. I thought I would increase my productivity by ordering another one. When I received my new one it was in a refurbished box, even had missing screws. Luckily I was able to find some around the house that fit but once I plugged it in, the resolution isnt nearly as good as my first one. What a disapointment!

Bought this to have 2 laptops display on one monitor at the same time. Saw it had split screen and PIP (picture in picture) which is all I thought I needed. Apparently you need picture by picture (PBP.) PIP has been around since at least the 80s. Where as long as you had 2 inputs (cable and antenna or gaming console) you could have a main display and sub display and choose volume for either one. I figured it shouldnt be too hard to do the same thing on a monitor in 2019. Split is basically the same thing any monitor can do. It snaps open windows on a device to parts of the screen. Ive been using this feature for quite some time on Windows PCs. This just provides more options but from the same device. If you add another device you have to switch between the inputs on the monitor to see different extended displays from the 2 different devices.
