This is a great monitor. I love that it has a "night mode" that takes out blue light. The feature is easy to switch on and off and is really helpful for use at night. No problem connecting this to a MacBook via HDMI. With all thats great about the monitor: sharpness, color richness, monitor size, there is a problem that has made the monitor very difficult to use and its almost gotten broken a couple times as a result. The monitor and the base/support column are two separate pieces, and sure you can get the monitor stand hooked into the monitor, but one little bump sends the monitor sliding off, crashing to the table. Sure theres two metal prongs to connect the stand to the monitor, and theres a release button. But it just doesnt work. If you try tilting the monitor, its even worse. Its so touchy, itll fall right off with the slightest bump. Its too bad, because its a good monitor, but its got a really poorly made stand attachment. Look elsewhere if youre concerned about the monitor being in an area where it could be bumped or a cord could be moved and catch on a corner of the monitor and pull it off the stand.
