The monitor looks and works amazing, but there was a tiny piece of cardboard stuck to the screen when mine arrived. When I attempted to remove it gently, the screen was scratched where it had been. I will be returning, hopefully, and ordering a new one, because it really is beautiful! Update: I have received my replacement monitor, and will be returning the scratched one shortly, but this one has its own flaws. Because its so large, its difficult to go through the entire repackaging process, so I think Im just going to call it good, but I am disappointed that I cant get a perfect product for my money. There seems to be something going wrong in the packaging or production process for these monitors. The replacement monitor (same product) had a smudge on the screen which I was able to remove with a microfiber cloth, but it also has some black marks on the bottom silver bezel and the white surround. I dont think Im being too particular in saying that if you buy something brand new, it should arrive in brand-new condition. The clear wrapping that covered the bottom stand part was also dirty, like itd been through some rough handling. Luckily, it didnt affect the part underneath the wrapping as far as I can tell. So far, the monitor works perfectly, and it would be amazing if not for the problems.

Functions well, but no written directions in my container in English. Had a devil of a time getting it to turn on. Their picture instructions are ambiguous and lacking in clarity. The buttom to turn on is on the underside of the monitor, in the right front corner and can not be seen unless you place your face well below the bottom of the monitor and look back up, because the underside button is thin and not deep enough to be seen when looking at the front of the monitor from your desk height. The picture instructions reference no underside buttom but merely a symbol on the bottom right front corner of the monitor and suggest you merely turn on the monitor (after connecting it properly, of course) but pressing in on the symbol. Well, the symbol is not a button and does not push it. Clearly a gross ambiguity that could have EASILY been avoided by a picture showing an hidden button on the underside of the monitor and by showing an error pointing up rather than an arrow pointing directly to the symbol at the front right bottom corner. I assume their absence of written English instructions, but providing me written instructions in Spanish and some other language was a packing error. If not, again shame on the manufacturer.

Product was received packaged well. Plugged it in and immediately noticed the colors were not sharp and bright. The resolution was fine everything seemed fine but the colors were not as vivid as the 5 year old monitor that this one was replacing. I decided that perhaps it needed color calibration, and performed this and was still underwhelmed even with the minor improvement. Checked to see if there was any troubleshooting I could do for this problem, I found a few things on the HP support site but nothing that really improved the problem. I ended up setting the "technicolor" setting and got the best results, but they were still bland compared again to my 5 year old Gateway monitor. I have just decided that I will stick with this for a year or so until I can find a better monitor (wont be hard I would imagine). Was not happy with my purchase but we need two monitors, and my wife has the 5 year old "good one" now. Maybe I can trick her into taking this one!

Gorgeous doesnt even begin to describe this monitor. It puts a macbook desktop monitor to shame in terms of style. The bottom/stand is quite wide and obviously 25" is what it is: 25". So be prepared for a huge monitor that you need to have some room for on your table. The HDMI cables make connection a breeze and all in all after ordering it I had it setup using it/working in about 3 days from purchase and (setup took ~ 3 minutes). Best purchase Ive made in a while and the quality cant be beat. Its like walking around a best buy store room floor everyday in my home office. Cant recommend this monitor enough. From purchase to now (and hopefully infinity and beyond) this monitor is one of the best purchases Ive made in a while.

I bought 2 of these in April of 2016. I use them 20-30 hours a week. One of them is now useless. The screen goes completely black for 3-5 seconds every 5-10 seconds. Unfortunately its not an input issue (Ive tried switching inputs and sources). Its not the signal dropping because the power button never turns orange (thats what happens if the signal drops). The monitor menu even disappears if I have it pulled up. The screen is dying. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TQQN2GI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased this monitor to replace two smaller desktop monitors and I have to say I will not go back to a smaller monitor size - ever. This screen has plenty of real estate if you do a lot of multi-screen work like I do. Most of my work consists of either editing or comparing data/websites and this screen is great at handling two side-by-side screens. I have even found myself giving the kids half of the screen to watch a YouTube video while I work on the other half. Nice, modern stand design fits in with most office decor I assume, and the picture is clear and bright. Im not super technical in the sense that I count pixels and ratios, but Im a heavy user who has no problem with the clarity or brightness of this beautiful monitor!

I purchased the HP27xw to replace an older 24in. HP display connected to my MacBookPro (2012, 13in.). Very pleased with the performance. The main objective was to make use of CAD easier for my aging eyes. The display is bright and sharp (1080p). I had no trouble using it in the Mac OS X environment, provided that one remembers to switch off the overscan feature in the monitor itself (Menu-Image Control-Overscan OFF). The price seems very reasonable, and the design fits well with the Mac environment. I had no trouble with the tilt, and used a UNITEK Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter to connect the two.

I have a MacBook Pro and the new display wouldnt work. I first called HP support and was told in a few minutes that the monitor was working fine, and suggested I call Apple support. I had just bought a new Apple adapter (HDMI, USB, USB-C to USB-C) and the lady at Apple support sent me a new $50 Belkin adapter (HDMI to USB-C) for free and, lo and behold, it worked! I bought a second monitor to use at our summer house, along with a Belkin adapter, and it works fine.

I bought this monitor on a budget of cause. but the colors are really nice on this monitor. I was told this wasnt for gaming. I am not a hard core gamer. and the response time 8ms, I could not even tell any motion blur. AT ALL lol. I have an Asus monitor with 5ms right next to and was trying to tell if i could see any difference. none at all. and the contrast is not that bad ether. I got this monitor for 180. I think its a pretty good deal. It is pretty good for gaming. I played battlefield, BO3, mass effect 3. But there was a catch.. the first one a got has been use/opened. but they sent me other one for free.

Im using this monitor for about one month with a Macbook Pro. The image quality is very good, accurate colors without any adjustments, 27" is huge, very bright (I use it on 50% and I think is too bright, I eyes hurt at night). The build quality is also very good. It matches with the Macbook design no apparent buttons and the power led can be turned off. To use in the desk the height is about right I felt no need to put it higher, it tilts vertically, the screen is almost borderless which gives a modernity impression. Although Amazon claims that it comes with a VGA cable, I received mine with an HDMI cable, which was a very good thing ($ 10 economy in a new cable). No backlight bleedings. The cons: there is no support for VESA mount, there is no built-in audio or audio output port, there is no way to up or down the screen vertically, its pretty bright so at night I need to change the brightness I need to go through a long path in order to get this done, its very hard to hide the cables (and cables really bother me), for a 27" display I think a resolution above 1080p would be something desirable. Although the cons I think the pros and price (below $ 200.00) makes this monitor a really good deal.

The open WEDGE stand design provides convenient access to VGA and dual HDMI ports Captivating imagery: Color and clarity radiate from the screen with Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution , incredible 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, and quick 7 ms response time Box Contains:1 VGA; 2 HDMI (with HDCP support). Pixels per inch:96. HP monitors are designed as ‘plug and play’ for all OS Open the OSD menu and select brightness to adjust the brightness scale as needed. Note: Refer the User Guide before use
