That other reviewer must have some other problem because the z27n is stunning. Ive purchased around a dozen of them and they are all flawless. Colors are great. Brightness is great. Bezel is tiny. Well worth the money.

I use it at my office. Now Ive bought it for my home too. Good for programmers who look at the monitors for a long time. Comfortable for eyes for long time use. Sharp text. First I searched it in some stores like Best Buy/Frys Electronics and unfortunately they dont sell it.

This monitor is excellent. I too bought it based on Wirecutter article and after researching tons of options (HP makes way to many monitors as do most without a lot of differences). This was a little more than I wanted to pay but Im glad I did. Out of the box this monitor came with a factory calibration sheet. It was pretty much dead on for me with the only adjustment I made being turning down the brightness which is super bright out of the box. I have seen no ghosting mentioned here or in Wirecutter article. Adjustability is good and has plenty of port options and includes a couple of useful cables. I have also had no issues with app compatibility in Windows 10. I took off one star for no info in the box on where to get the instruction manual and poor labeling on the device itself for some of the ports (the USB ones in particular are poorly marked as one of them is a in only to the hub in the monitor for instance and they only support up to certain wattage for USB-C which should also have been clearly marked). I found the info on HPs support site but it was harder to locate than it should have been. There is also an excellent utility that lets you set multiple profiles and do everything else you can in the OSD, but again no mention of this in the box. This weekend Im going to try hooking my Surface to the Display Port while keeping desk computer on HDMI. Hopefully will not have issues switching. Overall very satisfied with the purchase after a week of use.

Of course, this picture just doesnt do it justice; but I had to post it. I have owned many monitors since the mid-1980s, as well as using countless monitors at work. This is, by far, the BEST monitor I have ever used, especially for what I paid for it. Calibrated at the factory by HP (I use the Neutral Color setting - Looks very natural), plenty of connectors, including the newer USB-C, and itll be my monitor for many years to come. The 27" screen is perfect for my needs, and many times I will work with 2 or even 3 windows open, which makes for an awesome working experience. Everyone seems to get hyped up about 4K screens, which cost a lot more, and I guess they have a place, in some circumstances; but 1440p is plenty for most folks needs. Keep in mind that the higher the screen resolution, the smaller everything gets on a desktop - I have no issues with 27" & 1440p, but I know some folks who actually liked the "standard" 1080p better; it was more of a size thing for fonts, icons & such than any type of screen quality.

Screen looks great. Monitor itself looks great even when off. The stand it comes with is easily and highly adjustable. Still the best resolution for gaming. Hard to beat unless you really want the high refresh rates for FPS.

I dont know who 1 star review works for, but I liked the two I work with at the office so much I got two more for the home office. Stunning display, easy on the eyes. Color, speed, everything works for me all day long and into the night.
